I first called Lane and he answered and talked to me for over an hour about how he was the right chose and he was local and could meet any time! After going back and forth way too many times, because he did not understand what it was trying to say in a text, I asked to meet to get it all resolved. He then informed me (after collection his deposit) that he does not meet with his clients only through text and email. I could type a 100-page book on how unprofessional and uncooperative he was, but I am going to just leave it at this, RUN from this guy!!! We were looking for a way to build a unique home, different than the more common styles built across north Texas today. We loved the Mid-Century Style of architecture but we also wanted to keep a rural Texas feel since we are living out in the country. Jonathan Bethune did an excellent job capturing the look and feel of the house as well as creating an incredible floor plan that makes excellent use of space. The building process proceeded timely and it was clear from the beginning that the quality of work was very important to the team. We experienced an excellent job of keeping the work going even during very wet days and weeks. The end product is a very well constructed home that we feel is efficient and beautiful. Jennifer Bethune really helped bring the interior style of the house. She was very available to choose wood, paint, countertops, tile and many of the other surface areas that really added to the beauty of the home. The overall experience has been incredibly engaging and exciting. Having such a unique home is very special to us and this design build team was a great choice for us.

During our initial meeting my husband immediately gave Jonathan Bethune our business. We both found Jonathan to be professional and he understood our vision and designed it even better than we had envisioned. The whole process was further streamlined and enjoyable when Jennifer entered into the picture. She made ever design decision easy by helping me narrowing my choices all while staying on budget (which endeared her to my husband). Keeping on a budget and knowing each week where we stood also helped reduce stress. If any questions did arise Jonathon and Jennifer were always available for questions and backed up with a professional staff. After receiving quotes from a number of companies to build a new 10ft wide double fence gate and repair a few places in my fence, he was the one that was most reasonably priced, yet clear that he wasn't going to cut any corners. When a big storm with tornado level winds blew through, the gate started to lean a little bit (8ft tall and 10ft wide gate), and he came by the next week to wind proof the gate and fix the issue. No need to look any further folks - Jeremy's your guy for the job!

Update: Due to the crazy and quickly changing costs of building right now, I had to completely change my building plans and go with a new design. These guys delivered the same amazing service, attentiveness, and quality. Love love love this company and will recommend them to anyone I know who needs plans drawn. I wish more companies offered this level of service. Thank you Texas House Plans!! Working with Texas House Plans was a great experience. They were quick and attentive, very friendly, answered all of my questions, responded quickly to all of my emails, and did a great job! This is saying a lot in a time were everything is taking 2 to 3 times longer to do anything than usual. I highly recommend this company! First, the positives: Omar is a prompt communicator. It's very easy to communicate with him…read more However, when it comes to quality of work - it's far subpar. Our home used to be an Airbnb, and we've used many cleaners to help manage the cleaning of the property between guests and to help us care for our home while we were living in it. I asked for a quote for a deep clean of our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home. He replied with the lowest bid - at $225. I knew this was low, even though it was roughly 30% higher than our standard bi-monthly cleaning, but I made the assumption he may be new and giving discounted rates to retain customers. I let him know this was a deep clean before we list our home to show it. That was my mistake. He left cobwebs on mirror vanities, didn't clean under any of our nightstands or furniture. He missed our laundry room entirely. The area around the dog bowl hadn't been cleaned. Nor the corners of the kitchen cabinets and the trim along the back door. Our bedroom looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed or mopped. The baby's room shelving still had dust on it, and we filled an entire vacuum just doing the upstairs. The stair railings were missed, not a baseboard was addressed and we had no cleaning of cabinets or anything outside of counters and surfaces. Our cleaners, who charge between $129-$169 for bi-monthly cleans do a more sufficient job. When I communicated my concerns, he suggested he cleaned all surfaces and that the home just got dirty because of the children and dog. To which I replied that wasn't our experience in the past. The pictures are just a handful of areas that were left untouched. And, he will gaslight you entirely when you bring up your concerns.
