The gentleman took my form and stated he was faxing it right then. The website states: If you or your physician needs copies of your medical records, please follow the steps below and allow 3 to 5 business days for processing. Download the Authorization To Disclose Protected Health Information Download the Authorization To Disclose Protected Health Information (Spanish) Fill out the form Print the form Sign the form Find your local cancer center Submit the form by fax or mail Medical records are stored at the cancer center where you received treatment. It is now October 9th and I STILL DON'T HAVE MY MEDICAL RECORDS EVEN THOUGH THE WEBSITE STATES MEDICAL RECORDS ARE STORED AT THE CANCER CENTER WHERE YOU RECEIVED TREATMENT. My PCP is needing those records so that I can make an appointment to get a few other health issues addressed. However, I've had to prolong making the appointment since my medical record request has not been processed WHICH IS DELAYING ME GETTING TREATMENT. In addition, the doctor I saw talked down to me which I did not appreciate. However, his NP was AMAZING. I will be looking for a new provider and facility that does what it's supposed to, when it's supposed to.

Finding the right team became my number one mission. After researching my area, I stumbled upon Texas Oncology! Their Google reviews matched exactly what I was looking for: an empathetic staff, compassionate nurses, and a doctor who's passionate about what they do. No doubt that I planned to write a Yelp review! Booking my appointment was easy, and honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better doctor than Dr. Reddy. Now, I'm in the waiting game to see what the future holds, and I'll update this review as my journey continues.

While it's not considered malpractice to have a non-specialist as your doctor, it's not a good idea either. When you have cancer, you want a team focused on your illness, rather than one focused more on administrative efficiencies and maximizing their profits. I do not recommend Texas Oncology. I was assigned an oncologist who was not a specialist in my form of cancer. When I switched to another facility within the same group, the same thing happened again. They seem to go out of their way not to tell you these things. Rather, to try to gain your trust more as a car salesman would do. "See our nice office?" "Aren't we friendly?" Do you want top quality care, or the mere appearance of it?

I want to highlight my personal experiences with this office and not with Dr. Trumby himself…read more Something that I believe many doctors, including Dr. Trumby overlook: how much their staff impacts the overall patient experience and even their bottom line. When I first called to make an appointment, I was put through a screening process and then sent to "Shannon's" voicemail, which promised a call back within 24 hours to schedule my first appointment. I called three times over two weeks, trying to get an appointment. I was already terrified about what was happening to me. It's demeaning to feel like you have to beg for someone to care. I'm sincerely disappointed because several people referred me to Dr. Trumby and I honestly believed he could help me. Thankfully, I found another hematologist/oncologist whose staff called back within the day, treated me with respect, and made me a priority from day one. They made it clear I deserved the attention and care I needed. Doctors should realize that an unresponsive staff push patients to seek out other places where they feel heard and valued. It is my hope there is someone in management that reads this and is able to fix "the problems" within their house!

I got a call from someone in their office a week later asking for paperwork. I attempted to call the number back and had to go through the entire chain again in order to get to that person. I fortunately found out I no longer needed to go in and I called their office to cancel. I spoke with one person and gave her all of my information, she told me that she would cancel my appointment and I was good to go....except she never canceled my appointment and I got an email the following Monday asking me to confirm my appointment. I clicked cancel on the email, but wanted to make sure it actually got canceled, so I called them back to confirm. It took 2 admins and 15 mins on the phone for someone to send a message to the correct office asking them to cancel. I never got to see a doctor however I feel the 1 star is necessary in order to express how awful their admins are set up.
