Haven't pawned anything in 15 years but the last time I did it was a set of golf clubs, bag, putters, just like today. That experience was amazing, this was just insulting. The interaction, attitude, the level of disrespect and etiquette was about as bad as it could get. I needed $400 for a small real estate deal this afternoon, not wanting to take a cash advance on a card and I thought wow, I've lived in Leander for over 10 years, driven by this store on my way to the car wash next door. Lemme see what I can get. First off, I'm extremely aware of the idea what we have is never worth as much as we think. I've traded in dozens of sets of clubs over the past 50 years, I use the PGA Retail Value trade in guide as a barometer and their book is vers valuable. It's solid. Dicks Sporting Goods, PGA Superstore, Golf Galaxy all use this very guide. And I get it, they only had 2 bags of clubs in there they wanted $60-$100 for and 1 were more than 10 years old, and 1 set was at least 20 years old. I was polite, waited patiently, wasn't expecting anything else...and he wouldn't give me more than $100 for the clubs on a loan, and I couldn't replace the bag & clubs for under $1500. Impossible. Of course, that's probably why they don't have any clubs in there because they're dismissive and rude, and it's fine because I don't need the money that bad. What this little man didn't know was I had a Tag in my pocket I would've sold for $$ he could've made nice money on but once the disrespectful tone & attitude took over that was a non-starter for me. I pawned the clubs elsewhere for $350, which all I really needed. I won't be back, I'll never forget. read more

Took the time to guide me though the paperwork necessary and Angie even got me a cup of coffee while Zach found me a place to sit while the paperwork went through. Very unprofessional especially talking & debating politics, something a business should never do. Had problems the last 2 times @ this location. I will not discredit the liberty hill location as they are a good shop w/good people. The gentleman with the glasses loves to argue and make you feel as if you're wrong. But in all reality he's the one with the issues. Learn to hold your tongue instead of arguing with customers whom have plenty of money to spend in your overpriced store. I was so skeptical about entering a pawn shop. I've heard some bad stories. I started feeling more comfortable as soon as I entered the door. The place was so clean and organized, an honestly smelled like a new car dealership. I had the pleasure of dealing with John first. He was helpful and the others were also willing to help him if he needed it. I only brought one thing in as I was unsure what they would take. I was informed that I could call with the serial numbers and info of my other items and they could give me a range of pricing so I knew if it was worth it to bring them in. I did so and had the same excellent service in the phone. So I brought some items back the same day and Bead was helping me. Same great service. The process was simple and pleasant. Up till now I have had nothing but good things to say about Tx Pawn & Jewelry, And at the end of the day I am the one that dropped the ball as I almost always run the numbers before making a purchase. Purchased a used a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 a few days back and turns out that with the $27 dollars for a extra mag I could have purchased a brand new one from Academy that would have come with 2 mags and a box and all the joys of a new pistol. ((((((Yes Sir I am aware the gun market has been a bit crazy and this is why I claimed responsibility for not checking the price before making the purchase. I walked in for my first time the other day and was greeted by a guy behind the counter on the other side of the store pointing a revolver at my face. I guess he thought it was funny because he held it pointed until I was just across the counter from him. Other employees watched without reaction, so I guess that's normal behavior. I asked him about a tool I was looking for and they had it, asking pretty much full price. I found one new for even less online and they refused to drop $20 on a $250 tool to at least not have waisted my time on top of threatening my life for giggles. read more

Texas Pawn & Jewelry is a legit place to shop. My wife and I were driving along N Bell Road and we noticed some lawn mowers for sale. So we stopped in and Brad helped us decide on a mower. I could tell right away he was "Good People", so I trusted him. Anyways when we got home, the mower did not work. So I called Brad and he told me to bring it down. Brad and his team of customer service representatives did everything they could to make things right and to resolve the issue. I truly appreciate the honesty and integrity of his company. Jewelry Buyer Beware: The jewelry may be made of glass but they will sell it like it's a lab created gem stone. I honestly didn't expect the gemstone to be real for the price point but did not expect it to be glass either. I did ask the kind sales representative if it was the gemstone it looked like. Her reply, was 'oh yes, you can tell by how it shines'. Needless to say, I bought it and then needed to size it. My regular jeweler told me it was pretty but it was made of glass and to enjoy it but know it will scratch up with extended wear since glass is softer. So, moral to the story: be very careful when buying any jewelry from this place, all sales are final and it could be made of glass. Even though the nice lady helping you will say it's a gemstone. Update: I appreciate the offer for a refund, and forgive my ignorance on the matter but as a pawn shop I would assume the value of an item would be known since that's the core business of a pawn shop. There's no reason the item I bought should have been priced as it was. I feel foolish for being taken advantage of and I wrote the review so others wouldn't have the same experience. I can only hope the quality of the jewelry improves so that no one else pays good money for glass. read more
