I had the most unpleasant, racists welcome. Nobody said hello, the female at the counter didn't even want to help me and gave me nothing but attitude. She demanded I show her a receipt for the item I was trying to pawn, and I provided it as such. While keeping my cool, and them just staring at me not saying anything. Then a non colored man comes in and he gets a nice warm welcome from the white manager who was standing there the whole time. I did nothing to them for this type of experience to transpire. I'm mixed for Christ sakes lol. This location needs to do better and hire some diverse employees who know treat people better. everybody there sucked. Very friendly environment and literally will make stuff happen for you even if you can't make ends meet! Definitely will be sticking to this place when it comes to getting anything from a pawn shop! Been here so many times over the past 5 years it's not even funny. The lady who works there doesn't know a damn thing. Told her I paid for some of what I owe online through their app, only to find out that doesn't do anything to help with what you owe nor does it extend the time. So why even have the option to pay / extend the time online?? Wasted my money and lost my item due to their crap staff not knowing what they were talking about. when I asked if paying online does anything since she told me the original due date of the item, after I already had extended it she said it doesn't do anything if it's online. Wth sort of service is this. After reading some of the reviews I'm shocked I got decent service. Stop changing the staff out for crappier untrained people! If you drive up the road a bit to the other location they always offer more and are seriously always friendly it's like a 2 minute drive up the road. Almost every pawn shop in Austin has what I would call junk when it comes to home audio equipment. I look for the good stuff and I rarely find a morsel. Not true on my recent visit to Georgetown; they had the good stuff. A pioneer THX receiver for $199, that's a prime target for haggling. Then a SWEET set of Infinity speakers for $599. Good prices on both and I'm wondering why this stuff doesn't show up on the south side. Staff was friendly, noticed my pawn shop man chain and asked to check it out. Folks, pawn shops are cool and can be conquered with the same logic that you see on the new flood of pawn shows on TV. They will low ball you when you come in to pawn an item; you in turn haggle to get the best price while keeping their bottom line in mind. You can get some classy items at any pawn shops! THE MORAL - This shop lies about their merchandise. - The manager was rude and called me a liar. - They stole money from me. THE STORY I went in and bought a 23" 1080p TV/monitor with the 6-month warranty. Upon use of it, I realized the monitor was a 720, not a 1080. I took it back to the store and they were obligated to replace it. Upon inspection of their 8-9 screens listed as 1080s, every one of them was a 720. When I requested a refund for the screen, they obliged, but would not refund the cost of the warranty that I had bought on an item they had lied about. When I brought up their dishonesty, their store manager Rey was extremely rude to me, calling me a liar and saying I had changed my story (I told them right after I bought it that it was not what they advertised) and that they couldn't refund the warranty. So I came away with a box monitor and then keeping $5 of my money that they came by dishonestly by selling me something that wasnt what they said it was. DO. NOT. give this company any of your business. There is a significantly better shop down the road that will do better for you. read more

This place has terrible customer service for selling items. I go there one day and get offered a price under what I was wanting originally. It was a collection and large box and I had a rep come out to my car and look at everything to get the price. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do the deal for that much at that time. I ask her if the price will still be the same if I come back tomorrow, and she says yes. Now I go back the next day and the same person who gave me the price yesterday is there and she tells me to bring in the collection. I do and when it's my turn in line a different rep helps me out because the one who helped me yesterday was busy. The manager is looking over everything and I told them the price that was offered to me the previous day. I get out all 30 items from bubble wrap and everything and then the manager gives me a price of half what it was yesterday. I guess the customer is not always right, and the reps lie. DO NOT sell anything to this Pawn Shop. They will rip you off any chance they can get, and if you do, go on Sunday when the manager is not there. read more

They sell you guns out from under you without a phone call. Went and paid my extension for my loans and 3 weeks later come back to get them out off of loan and due to mystery computer glitch that my loans weren't extended. I even had other fire arms on layaway and they still wouldn't let me pay for the others to get out. Robert seems like a good dude and tried to help every way he could but the so called district manager hid in the back and wouldn't come out and help. Super sketchy things going on at that place. I used to really love this place, bought three rings there and never had a problem. I recently bought a flat screen television from there and shortly after, the HDMI ports quit working. We bought the protection plan from them as well. They told me to bring in the TV and they would switch it out for a similar TV. We brought it in and they did not have one comparable to swap, which is no big deal. We have one month left in the warranty and have been calling often for a replacement and they keep telling me to pay MORE money for another TV. I've already bought a TV and the warranty and I am not going to pay MORE money for another TV. They have been giving us the run around for months now and I am just so disappointed. They will not have my business anymore after this faulty TV with no replacement. read more

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Sooo Disappointed!! I started going to this pawn back in '05. Good place with great employees, never had a problem. They slowly got rid of all the people who worked there and was taken over by either new management or company. Don't know which. But anyhow I kept a lot of my things there for extended periods of time and never had issues, until like I said they changed so to speak. Rey is the manager there and he can be very egotistical and condescending. I've had a $140.00 bicycle get ruined to the point it could not be ridden. (They put it outside) This bike was brand new when it went in and I did have it there for some time. Maybe 9 months give or take month. But shouldn't the customer get their merchandise back exactly the way they brought it in? Apparently not at this shop. Also had a camera, which I didn't inspect my ticket close enough after the pawn, they had it in someone's name that I didn't know. So when I'd go in EVERY month to pay I would just hand them my ID and it would pull up all my pawns. Except ones that aren't in your name. Short to the point I lost it because I had never paid on it like I thought I had. They just recently, and I don't know how the hell they did this shit!! They got my daughters iPod touch5 switched with some other one. How the hell? So they couldn't even find it after 45 minutes of me waiting. Rey told me weeks before "You know what James, you just need to get all your shit out of here" I said yeah, you right. Don't go here. It used to be helpful and used to have good customer service.
