I've always enjoyed Texas Roadhouse, and the steaks specifically were always amazing. But recently, I got a Porterhouse and it was honestly bad, it was chewy and unevenly cooked. And then I went again and got a BBQ Burger with mushrooms, it was honestly terrible. The BBQ sauce didn't even taste like BBQ sauce, and the patty had practically no flavor, the tomatoes weren't of the best quality and I was overall unimpressed. Today is 9.27.2021. My wife and I have only been to Texas Roadhouse a handful of times. One time was at this location in Midland a few years back. Recently we moved back to Midland from NM. Dinner came around and we decided to give it a go. We really dig the fried pickles they're our favorite. Steaks in the past here are spot on. New to Midland, Mel my waitress was excellent from the moment she greeted me until the end. The food was excellent (I ordered the rib eye with Shrimp and seasoned rice) with the exception of the shrimp being salty (Hint the 4 stars). I recommend this place and will definitely be back. read more

If you are looking for service do not sit at the bar. The waitresses seem to be too overwhelmed with the bar having 3 sides. I've also noticed if you do decide to sit at the bar if you sit on the side closest to the door you will get thing without asking (bread, plates, silverware) I did ask Ms. Courtney for some bread and was pretty much like "okay when I get to it" the other side sat down after and was handed literally everything. I then got up to get my own stuff around the restaurant. No big deal I do not mind getting my own things but maybe Texas Roadhouse could hire another waiter or waitress to help out the bar. A solid 4(+) star review. Dropped in here a couple of days ago with our work crew. We wanted a good meal, and big food. There were 11 of us, we were seated within minutes even though it was the dinner hour. Service was prompt and friendly. Drinks were served, the mug of beer I had was about 15 feet tall. Ok, not quite that big but it was Texas huge. I had the grilled pork chop, a loaded baked potato, and green beans. Sounds simple but it was an outstanding meal. Every single restaurant in Midland, TX is always crazy pack. My boyfriend and are spending Thanksgiving in different states this year so we decided to go out to eat knowing the wait would be outrageous. We waited about another 30-40 min until we were greeted and was asked to choose our steak behind a glass. (Which was awesome) our server was real cool she was super friendly, checked up on us, and gave us some extra famous rolls and cinnamon butter to take home :) They started us out with those soft, warm rolls with cinnamon butter! mmm! I ordered the country fried sirloin and my boyfriend got the 16oz New York steak. We also got to choose two sides and salad came out after the bread which started to fill me up! Our meal took about 20 min to come out and by the time I was kind of full but I've been craving country fried steak since forever! Then he finally came out with the food and I was shocked, it was ginormous! But I probably wouldn't order it again. (too much batter and the batter was a little salty) But, my boyfriends steak was pretty good, overall our experience was good and we definitely felt like we got more than enough food for the price we paid. Just moved to Midland and heard horror stories of bad service everywhere because of the oil boom etc. was pleasantly surprised with the service. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. Not a good to-go experience at all. First of all, my steak was very dry and not cooked medium well as I requested, by any means. I had about 8 steak fries of which about 3 of then were too hard to even eat. I asked for the sweet potato which I thought would be prepared the way it is at dine-in, & at all of the other locations I've been to. The young lady at the to-go counter did open each container and go over each item with me that I ordered, but after waiting for my inside the restaurant for an additional 20 minutes after calling in my order 20 min prior to, I was too tired and hungry to wait to speak to a manager. I just took the order and left. I live 0.2 miles away and everything tasted room temp. I'm still trying to figure what took so long. If they were still preparing my food during my 20 min wait inside, it should at least been piping hot. Worse Tx Roadhouse experience I've ever had. Well As soon as i drove up I knew it was going to be tough to get a seat. The place is packed . Trucks and cars are parked on the dirt and grass areas. I walk up peanut shell everywhere. Had a gift card to use and decided to order online and pick up. Turns out after you go through all the steps to set up an order- you can pay online with a gift card. Decided to go ahead and place the order. I drive there and follow the signs to curbside pick up. Food did not come out until 25 minutes after the time I was told it would be ready. After 13 hours on a plane getting home to Midland, we stopped at Texas Roadhouse for an early evening meal. I can now fully understand why roadhouse in going broke. It's not like we ordered anything exotic, my wife and I ordered salads. When our order was delivered our server informed us that they were out of onions.
