I met up here with a salesguy, it was the first time I've been in here. The food here was excellent, I got the fatty brisket, okra and Cole slaw. I have to say the Cole slaw was the best I've ever had in my life. And I'm 99% sure they used malt vinegar in it. It was delicious for sure. This is my favorite bar in town. Plenty of TVs, and cheap beer. There is always a DJ for brunch and a fun atmosphere.

Gotta try the Pump Jack and the space is nice. i wish it would stay open longer. the service is quick and the drinks are cold

Food was pretty s---. Flavorless gray meat ribs and dry miserable brisket. No smoke ring and no bark. Not Texas BBQ. The beans were strange. These things had so much fat content the broth was milky. The BBQ sauce was okay. Cool looking place, though. There may be potential at some point. read more

We had a great experience eating here. The parking lot looks full, but inside there is plenty of room to sit and relax. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and served very quickly. Everything is clean and family friendly. We hope eventually they serve beer on tap and a few more healthy menu choice, but for now it's a great option for Midland. Patio with fire towers seems amazing for summer evenings. read more

I don't give 1 star reviews often or lightly. But considering this was my worst dining experience since moving to Midland, TX (a city notorious for bad dining experiences), I thought one star was appropriate. From my entrance into this so-called "Rusty Bucket" to the time a waitress finally attended my table, an hour had elapsed. This was after multiple attempts to ask for one. My group of fellow Midlanders are used to bad service, but this even astounded us. We were told after we were finally able to order food that the sliced brisket was out. We hypothesized that perhaps this wouldn't have been the case if we saw the waitress before waiting an hour, but alas we shall never know. Unsurprisingly, most of our order came out incorrectly after being delayed. Honestly I cannot account all of the errors made because they numbered so greatly. My order arrived last--a grilled cheese, Mac n cheese, and fries. The mac was disappointing. The grilled cheese and fries were edible, though I remarked to my husband that I would have preferred Whataburger. My friends told me their meat was cold and unsatisfying--the worse kind of meat quite frankly. The best part of this meal was finally getting the check and exiting this bucket of abysmal food. read more

I remember this place when it use to be fire water. They did good remodeling it. Brisket fries were good but the chopped brisket was just soft Luke warm chucks of tough brisket. Not much flavor. Mac and cheese was really good. Ribs were ok but not much smoke flavor. Their bbq sauce is really good. Service could be better but good better towards the end of the night. Very great food. I got the brisket Mac and cheese and it was fantastic. They use wagyu beef and you can tell the difference. Some places state they do but don't actual or use a fair down the line strain, but you can tell this is quality meat. The setup is awesome too read more

17 dollars for three thin slices of brisket and some beans. That just doesn't seem right. I will admit the beans were good but this price for such little food is a rip off. I'm giving it two stars because I liked the beans, but I was pretty surprised to see this is what they call a "piled high plate". Also I asked for jalapeños and onions, didn't get those. My in laws had suggested we try the restaurant so 6 of us met there for dinner. The service itself seemed ok but my wife's order came out wrong, my sons order came out wrong, my mother in law's order tasted poorly, and my sandwich had more fat than I would normally prefer. In fairness the waitress tried to correct my wife's order but they were busy and it took a while and they did take my mother in laws meal off of the ticket. Food was good. Personally didnt care for the baked beans but everyone has different tastes. I will try the borraco beans next time. Brisket was great and ribs were great too mac and cheese was awesome! Tea was really good. The only thing I was confused and most places you get 1 side with you 1 or 2 or 3 meat plates. The sides showed 4 dollars a piece. But I'm sure they will settle in well. Hopefully they will get on the texas to go delivery place cant wait. read more
