Took our RV in for an annual inspectio, was told three days, $495. It was not done until two weeks later at a cost of $675. Agreed to have resealing done and a couple of other items worked, was told would be completed in two weeks. It has been six weeks and the work has not been started. Our RV sits on their lot in full sun. Stopped by to check on it, an ex employee was at the desk fhelping out. The head guy Jimmy, who rarely returns phone calls, was out running errands. Total waste of money and time to use these folks. First they didn't remove the 4 shipping bolts on a washer they installed in our motorhome. When I brought it to their attention, they indicated I must have placed the bolts in the machine, which is unbelievable as that would be nearly impossible due to the work and effort required to remove and replace the washer. They also charged me an extra $500, claiming that $310.00 was for making two insurance estimates, a roof mounted satellite dish and a mirror that had been damaged during travel. The "estimate" charges were not submitted to the insurance company. I believe this unauthorized charge was because I refused to let them remove and install a roof mounted satellite that was part of the insured loss. They claimed I was committing "insurance fraud" since I was not letting them do the work. They also insisted on me paying in cash or they would charge me an excessive amount to use a credit card. They were also most unpleasant and aggressive during the verbal exchange and told me to never return to them for any future work. read more

I can always rely on this company to take care of my Class A coach. This is the third time they worked on it and went beyond the the scope of what was needed to be repaired. From the catalytic converter. to rebuilding a cabinet behind the rear tires that blew out the cabinet to doing oil changes and replacing tires. Jimmy and the rest of the staff are very friendly and always willing to help there customers. I will alway use this company as long as I have a Rv! read more

I have spent time and a whole lot of $$ on my 2006 bounder & they have fixed it every time. I've since upgraded to a 2015 Pusher & had it to them a couple of 3 times & been satisfied every time. The one problem I had on my Bounder they made it good immediately. They have always been fair & ethical in the way I've been treated. Sometimes others place blame for things that have happened on others... NUFF SAID. A phone call or a face to face can make a big difference instead of doing the internet thing! read more

We brought our 5 year old 30'VIBE in for inspection, bumper repair and get the axles packed. They looked at a number of things, called before making any additional repairs and were very up front with the cost and options. I found they did not suggest anything to be fixed that didn't need fixing and had me out of there in day and half. I felt they really know what they are doing and I feel much better heading out for a long trip to Colorado after they looked it over and repaired. I will definitely bring my RV's back here for upgrades or repairs. read more

I took my rv to get the converter fixed as it was stolen. I did this 2 years in a row and have other work done there as well, over $12,000. This last time they had my rig for over 3 weeks. When I picked it up, I didn't go through my rig looking at stuff. I'm the only one who drives it other than this place. I packed my rig up to go camping and it wasn't until I was out on vacation setting up that I noticed someone had peed in the toilet. They had disconnected my quick connections for my water. They used the wrong hose for the water (I have a blue and white hose used for different things with different diameters). They connected the water filter to the blue hose and left it connected. I don't leave it connected. I sat on the toilet only to notice it was very wobbly and turned slightly. I then tried to put the awning out and it didn't work b/c someone jammed the awning guides into the arm when rolling it up. I was on vacation and didn't want to bother complaining until I got home. I called Aug 16 to set up a day to bring it in. I told the lady who answered the phone my concerns. They said I could bring it in Monday August 22. I didn't specify a time, b/c I work and wasn't sure what time I would make it in. When I arrived, I again told them my issues again. I wasn't mad, I joking said someone was rocking & rolling on my toilet and it wasn't me. After I left the rig there a few mins later I get a call from a gentleman stating there is water in the toilet. I said I wasn't aware must have dispersed while I was driving. He was trying to say the water when dried up turned brown and smells like pee. He also said he is the only one with the keys. I said then you have ferries disconnecting things and peeing in toilets. At that moment, he told me to come get my rig that he was not going to look at it any further. I went back to the place. They had turned my rig around. I said while unlocking it, they will be hearing from my lawyer. I drove away. That night they had a staff member write an email to my place of work complaining about me and wanting to know what they were going to do about it. They chose not to report me driving off in a violent matter, threatening staff and work environment. They want my work place to notify them on how I will be handled. So now they are my parents! Very unprofessional. Their office is a daycare. They have toys and food all over the place. Very messy, dirty office. When I arrived there was a child sleeping on the sofa. read more

This place is the best!! We brought our RV because our generator suddenly stopped working, we were desperate because we needed it to be fixed that day and all the shops were full. Luckily we ran into Texas RV & Car Care, they were also full but were nice enough to help us out between jobs and they were able to start it again!! They also helped us with some electric issues and they did NOT charge us!!! Of course they didn't run their usual diagnosis hour but they were so helpful, kind, ethic and super super nice. You don't know how much stress and weight you took off our shoulders, thank you so much!! 10/10 would recommend!! read more

I will not use this company again. They are extremely slow and repeatedly over promise and under deliver. Slow is fine if you have time for that or know that going in. But when you "Scheduled" an appointment to have a trailer inspected and serviced but it wasn't even looked at until a whole week from "scheduled appointment" that is unacceptable. I'm fine with supply chain issues and delays of shipment. But again, I was told that once the part is received it could be installed that same day in order for pickup that day. I called on a Thursday and they said the part would be in Friday morning. Of course I asked if I could pick it up that Friday afternoon of which I was told that wouldn't be an issue. Needless to say I was able to pick it up after the weekend on Monday at 2:30 for a "scheduled pickup". read more

Took my 32' travel trailer here for repair and it was stolen. I was contacted by Ted on a Monday morning and he let me know that they went to go do some measurements Monday morning and noticed it had been taken. Cops were called as they should be and criminals are criminals however my biggest complaint is how the entire situation was handled. First of all, I'm not quite sure how a 32' travel trailer is taken and is not completely secured and locked down...seems a little fishy to me. When Ted called there was no apology of what happened. It seemed like this was par for the course and no big deal on his end. I asked about cameras and he did state they had some and were currently viewing tape. I had to later that morning show up for a policy report and at this point again, Ted kept going about his day, offered no apology and the receptionist at the front made a joke about it. I again asked about the cameras footage because I needed specific dates and times of the theft for my insurance and he let me know they couldn't see anything but would continue to look and he couldn't rush it. Over the next couple of days I continued to call asking about the footage and was told it couldn't be rushed. I kept letting Ted know that I needed the info for my insurance claim, again he didn't rush, made no apologies and went about his day. On one of the call, again he receptionist continued to make jokes about my theft. About 3 days after the initial theft I finally received the info I needed from Ted, again no apology. For he situation this had been the worst customer service I have ever received. I can't believe a business could operate like this and allow its employees to continue to act this way. read more

Elliot was awesome and fit us in right away. The A/C seal they installed worked out fine. Sadly, that is where the good experience stops. The seal to our entry door was falling apart so they installed a new rubber seal. Unfortunately they did not account for the difference in seal thickness and did not make any adjustments to the MAGNET on the inner screen door (called out for clarification due to shops reply) that controls the step going in and out. Due to this oversight the step shot out and hit a concrete barrier on the highway ripping it off and doing damage to the body of our RV. This damage cost us over $1200 for the new step and to repair the body damage. Based on the shops reply it is clear they are unaware of how thickness works with door seals and should certainly raise concern for potential customers. Accusing a customer of being incapable of operating a door to deflect a companies incompetent should make everyone question that companies ethics. read more

The short of it ... Jody and his crew are honest, knowledgeable technicians, and solid people. They know RVs and have specialists available that make them work. They are straight shooters, fare priced, and keep you informed of progress as repairs progress. The long of it .... I had a disaster RV repair experience at a shop in NJ before a 1500 drive to Texas. I had planned to stop in the Houston area to have the rig (40ft. Monaco Signature) checked and the items that the other shop failed to repair fixed. On the trip down, I experienced an engine cooling issue climbing up a mountain out of Atlanta. The more complex a machine is, the more chance something will go wrong. I decided to take it in sooner than later. I found Texas RV & Car Care just north of Houston in Cypress, about an hour from Lake Conroe in Willis (a favorite camping area). I brought the RV in in November. OMG, his lot was filled. Between the end of year winterizing, storage and cleanup, to the others who luckily found this place, he was packed. But hey, he had time to check me in and talked about the rig, its problems, and what it needed. Double-pane glass in RV... Who thought this was a good idea? Ok, I don't know about you, but why do RV manufacturers put double-pane glass in the drivers side window? It fogs every 2 years when the seal breaks. I could have ordered another one, but wanted to stop the cycle of replacements. I asked Jody if he could have a single-pane replacement made. He checked into it and found someone who could refit my window for thicker single-pane glass. It cost less than replacing the whole frame and will no longer have the repeating problem. Fixing the sins of others... from nightmare to dream The NJ repair place told me about a dozen issues that needed to be fixed on my rig. The NJ place, claimed to fix some of them. Jody and his crew looked over the rig and found a couple of annoyances and repaired them. He repaired the other companies failed repairs. He pointed out things that they indicated that were just plain wrong, and he pointed out something (1 thing in fact) they did right. Dogged and relentless troubleshooting The Texas RV crew took the rig out on the road to see if the they could get the engine heat/fan problem to repeat itself. The monitored the engine computer. They read out the transmission computer. They tested pressures, fan speed, high and low revving, you name it. It was fine. Rule 1: Don't climb a mountain at 75MPH on cruise control. In the end The Texas RV and Auto Repair shop proved to be honorable people, knowledgeable technicians, and solid citizens. They know RVs and have specialists available that make them work. They are creative in their solutions and won't spend your money on useless things. They will advise you and listen to you. They are straight shooters, fare priced, and keep you informed of progress as repairs progress. There's always something that needs looking into on an RV ... LOL. You'll need these guys to be your trusted experts. read more

TRAVELERS BEWARE!!!! We were traveling to Houston from Sacramento (unsuspecting out of towners). Took our trailer to Texas RV & Car Care for the wheel bearings to be repacked. Their assessment was to replace all the brakes. The quote was for $1638.00. I thought it was priced pretty high but was told that I would be getting the best equipment as a replacement. Now we are home and the brakes need adjustment. We found out that the brake equipment installed was just the standard cheap non-self adjusting brakes and backing plates (about $30 to $50 each). Poor Craftsmanship and Unsatisfactory Repair Shop Brought trailer in for insurance repair: Texas RV and Car Care overbooks their shop and places other in priority than you. VERY EXPENSIVE PRICES AND for better words they shouldn't be handling your RV. They also take forever much of the work isn't theirs and they subcontract a lot of the work out. No one knows who the boss is at the shop. The trailer was promised to be finished a month ago and was not finished at the promised time, original estimate $10,000.00. Upon final inspection of pick up and payment the trailer was not finished. Approaching the door we noticed that the door was not secured and when we entered into the rv many discrepancies. The trailer had flying ants inside the trailer and was not cleaned or vacuumed after the repair. The carpet repair was poorly installed and not professionally finished. Wires for the LP Gas leak was not connected creating a safety issue. Other wires to the stairs were not put back together. The cabinets were not fastened to the floor. This is among the many issues. I am not the technician and should not have to point out the obvious poor quality and drive to the repair shop that is 1hr from my residence. The technician that worked on the trailer came out to write the mistakes down for correction. He showed no professionalism became frustrated about the mistakes and told me that I was "nit picking." I unfortunately had to finish the list of issues that was wrong because I was disgusted from the service. This company is not recommended for insurance RV repair. We have not received the trailer and came back home empty handed. I am very disappointed in this companies lack of professionalism, craftsmanship, and integrity. It took 41 days to complete the job and it was promised in 2 weeks. After a year of having the trailer I am still finding issues: carpet coming up, floor buckling, screws not screwed in, lights not working, and drawers broken. Have you looked at their website? Where are their Certifications? The pictures taken are from other websites... FAIR WARNING DON'T USE TEXAS RV AND CAR CARE! Took RV to Ted for repair. He held it for two months after promising it to be fixed in one to two weeks. It was raining the week it got to Teds shop, and the Rv had a leak so I asked Ted if he could have someone from shop put some duct tape over tear in roof (I was assured they would do so) nope ! total flood inside. Then as for the job I asked Ted if they would drain the gas tank and clean all the dirty gas out before they put a new fuel pump on my Rv. Again I was assured no problem and that the reason for the hold up was that they had to remove all the gasoline and that's what was taking so long. Then when I got to the Rv Shop, I was told to just drive it for a couple miles and then change the fuel filter, as they had left dirty gas in the RV. Then they managed to write that they left dirty gas on the receipt. So I was unable to have any recourse when I got on the road and in less than 500 miles I had to replace the fuel pump again when I got stuck in the middle of nowhere. So $4000 later and another $2500 to rent a vehicle to finish our summer trip. Just had bad experience all around steer clear read more

Warning DO NOT take ur expensive RV to this business! Their workers are rotating doors taken advantage on SCAM FLAG rates/no benefits so you know there is absolutely no workmanship even though they charge you for quality and workmanship there is none. I'd also witness the owner's son being quite obnoxious and races to Sam (Mexican) who has 20 yrs previous experience, nice and actually studying to be a minister. We both left after less then a week and also others. Please trust me and take you expensive RV elsewhere where workmanship and decent American pay/benefits mean something. read more
