At this event, they had tables set up in the gardens, around the gazebo in the center. We got to take in the wonderfully catered brunch, while checking out all the hummingbirds, and the flowers they have growing! The gardeners have thoughtfully identified each type of plant growing in the garden, so you can look up more info on them later! Smart! They have statues and birdfeeders, and the gardens are official Monarch butterfly way points and stopping grounds. Inside the museum, you'll find a bunch of information on Connie Hagar, who set up the first Rockport nature preserve, and a bit on the history of the Key Alegro development. It shows a bunch of historical artifacts, and some stuff on the wildlife of the area. Interesting! The Aransas County area has long been a destination for nature lovers, and this area expresses the local love for the natural aspects of this coastal county. The museum is ADA accessible, and has ample air conditioning and clean restrooms. When I went, it was free admission to the museum, because we were there for an event. Not sure if it's free or open every day... I'm glad I came in! I certainly learned more about the development and history behind the area! Yes ladies and germs, best craft beer deal in TX. About 10 different local breweries were represented. Pay your money and you get your 6oz sample glass - yes, not plastic, but GLASS. Nice touch! Held at the Art and Culture center, this event was perfect: perfect weather, perfect parking, plenty of food trucks, plenty of beer, plenty of restrooms, plenty of seating and perfect setting (on the bay!). Compared to other beer festivals I've been to, this is one of the best in terms of overall value, setting, ambiance and variety. Our original plan was to visit a friend for her birthday and then all us go to the beer fest. After our experience, looks like we'll be making this an annual pilgrimage, forget her birthday!

The pluming was clogged and making a mess in the courtyard, they never restocked the beer and said all the beer they had was from the prior event they had, and they never answer the phone or messages during the whole process of the hire, no security at any door no valet parking and they charged for that overall so bad.

I knew exactly what I wanted and was ready to do all the planning. I heard nothing from her for 4 months!!!!! Finally, after 4 months of attempting contact, one day she finally texts me back. We meet at the venue and she is visibly pregnant. She proceeds to tell me she is due the week of my wedding and will not be my wedding coordinator moving forward. We are then introduced to Kelly, ..... Kelly is unable to pour a glass of wine, carry a glass of wine, or a conversation. My husband, parents, and I have to repeat everything we have told Danielle twice now. While the first impression is horrible, I have hope that AT LEAST Kelly might respond to texts. Moving forward Kelly is also difficult to communicate with, she is more responsive to texts. Unfortunately, it seems to be a different type of communication issue, every time I speak to her every time including my wedding day, I am repeating myself in every interaction. Every time I speak, I am lucky to get about 10% of the conversation remembered, understood, or acted upon. Everything is difficult with this venue, even paying! One would think they at least want their money. After 4 attempts at contact for the final payment Kelly finally responds, choses to meet the next day at 10 am. Upon arrival to this meeting, she says "who are you???" Now for my wedding day, after multiple attempts the schedule is not copy and pasted (I did it for her) onto my BEO. I print out my own schedule, list of vendors etc.... (a wedding coordinators job) since I have lost all faith. I was proven correct, both I and my family had to take over any "wedding coordinator" jobs. If I knew how this was going to go, I would have hired a wedding coordinator. Kelly brought her child to my child free wedding and multiple guests informed me an employee's child is running around the venue. We chose the build your own pasta bar for our small (55 person) wedding, terrible choice. It took an hour and a half to two hours to feed everyone and guest spent a lot of time in line. Even with releasing people by table. Our signature drinks were strawberry mojito and old fashions, I wish I would have done a tasting the mojito was the worst I have ever tasted. Rum, lime and water possibly FLAT club soda. Finally, the venue includes a photo booth. The photos were supposed to be sent to me via email within 48 hours of the wedding. I contacted both Danielle and Kelly 4-5 times to finally receive some of them 3 weeks later. Constantly brushing me off saying, "you should have gotten them." I obviously did not or why would I be asking??? I highly suggest choosing a different venue! Very disappointing experience.

The venue allowed family to do a very traditional old school, Mexican style wedding, with them cooking for all the guests and helping with serving. There were staffers there, who were mainly in charge of clean up and making sure the bride/groom had what they needed. I assume having the staff serve costs more, but seeing that traditional old school style wedding to me was great. Bathrooms were large and clean. Dance space was a tad on the smaller size, but nothing that could prevent a party. Decoration space is basically dependent on how you decorate your wedding. It can be a chic wedding, a traditional one, or something else entirely. Look if you're in Corpus and you're on a budget come here. The bride that had her wedding here was in the Houston area, so they do work with out of town brides too. It's a space for mid sized weddings, so if you need 300 plus, you may need to look elsewhere. With this economy, definitely give this place a shot. You need a wedding, not spend money on a down payment to a 400K house. Go tour it. You'll notice it's simple, but with a keen decorating eye you can make this space be yours, which is great for a girl on a budget.

Home of the famous whooping crane photos! Salt Flats is a…read morefun art gallery in the Rockport Cultural Arts District! They focus on wildlife photography of animals around the Texas Coastal Bend. They do a really cool technique where they print the photos on metal, so it has a timeless, permanent look to it, with a metallic sheen to it that makes the colors on the birds and other wildlife just pop! They have a whole gallery here in the Arts District of Rockport. They show off a bunch of other cool, local crafts and stuff for your home. Keep an eye out for all the wind spinners out in front of the place. They'll get your home transformed into a Texas beach house in no time! The gallery staff is quite friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable, considering the time and effort that goes into each of these photos, and the process of printing them on metal. When asked how the photographer gets some of these incredible shots, she always responds, "Patience, luck and a little magic is the key to my success." Parking is usually pretty easy at this gallery, and they have park benches out in the shade, where you can watch the traffic go by, and adjust to beach time. It's a wonderful place where there's plenty of shade out front, with a good breeze that powers all of the wind spinners out front. I suggest you check it out!
