I spoke to Joanie who was really helpful and got me scheduled right away. Casey arrived right on time and was both polite and professional. He took measurements, asked great questions about the projects we needed done and left me with some very helpful material clearly outlying the quality, consistency and know-how of what they do. I was incredibly impressed at how quickly they got the estimate back to me, and very pleased at how easy it was to understand. We had to put our painting projects on the back burner as we've decided to have some other work done first, but I would highly recommend giving Texas Star Painting a try! read more

I highly recommend Texas Star Painting! I hired Texas Star Painting to work on the interior of my home, specifically painting kitchen cabinets, walls, and baseboards. Carter, the owner, was friendly and easy to communicate with. He is very knowledgeable and precise about painting; he was quick to handle a few surprises (wallpaper!) that came up on this job and the results were fantastic. He is also an expert in painting oak cabinets and took all precautions to avoid seeing the grain after painting. I now have a beautiful white kitchen and am very pleased. He and his team worked around my schedule as escrow closed on my home. The job took four days, and his crew was always on time and worked long hours. I was very impressed. They were extra careful with their prep work and clean up. Doing our final walkthrough, Carter noticed a few touch ups that I had over looked. He stands by his word, and his work is high quality. I want to start this review by saying we were pleased with the painting job done by Texas Star Painting (TSP). TSP was hired to paint the interior, ceilings, doors and trim, and texture and paint the kitchen island in our 2,300 sq. ft. home. TSP came in on Oct 23rd -27th 2017 for the job. Carter was nice to work with and he's very knowledgeable with what he does. His attention to detail is better than his workers, but all in all we were pleased. There was some cleanup issues such as minor paint splatters on the windows, toilets, mirrors, and sinks. All of which Carter offered to come back out and fix. It came off easy enough so I told him not to worry about it. Annoyed it happened, but he did offer to come back by. That's on me. My issues arise after the fact. Carter sent me a text message asking if I wanted them to reinstall the baseboards along the kitchen island after it was painted. I said that would be great. He sent me a photo of them installing the baseboards. Fast forward to December 27th, 2017 and water started to come through our flooring. A plumber came out that next morning and it was determined a nail from the baseboards went into our kitchen water line which had been slowly leaking into our flooring pad. I opened up a claim on my insurance so that they could begin the cleanup ASAP and paid the deductible thinking TSP's insurance would reimburse my insurance. They did not. They denied responsibility because, "They don't use nails that long." My insurance went back and forth with them. It's been over a year and they held their ground, refusing to take responsibility even though there were text and photos regarding the baseboard in question. It's been over a year now and I'm still out my deductible. What's the point of hiring an established and insured company if they will not take responsibility for what was an unfortunate mistake? Might as well save several thousands of dollars and hire a pair of painters off of CL. Mark W read more

We have used Texas Star several times. We interviewed several companies when we needed the interior of our home painted. Carter came out to give us an estimate. His professionalism, knowledge & communication from the very beginning was impressive. His crew was on time and respectful to our furnishings. They tapped, prepped & covered everything during the whole process. They got the job done in half the time others quoted and for a very fair price. Great attention to detail! They did a fantastic job! I referred them to a friend and she too sad, she was very pleased with the repair to her chimney. It required wood replacement and paint. Recently, we reached out to them again to ask if they did fence staining. We were so pleased that they agreed to take on our project. They took great care to prep and cover everything around our pool. They also made sure they protected our extensive landscape and grass. They sprayed and in tight places they rolled the stain to protect the house. They also made repairs to the fence prior to staining. When scheduling our start date, Carter made sure the process was sceduale when weather permeted and also when the "wind" was not a factor. His priority was about doing it right. He personally returned to do touch-ups and left extra stain with us. He also sent the guys over to do extra stain work for us after our job was completed. We greatly appreciate his generosity and kindness. We could not be more pleased with all their efforts. It was such a pleasure to work with him and his crew. We can refer them with great confidence. Casey plus his crew Oscar and Cesar did exceptional. They went above and beyond my wildest dreams in fixing rotten wood around the chimney and window frames. They replaced the chimney wood with hardy board. In the process of painting they covered and draped everything nice and clean as promised. Oscar and Cesar filled in all the cracks and fixed any wood that had existing gashes within the exterior walls. These guys paid excellent attention to detail plus cleaned up after the job was done. I highly recommend Texas Star Painting based on multiple projects they've completed for me. The first project was at my previous home. We had a crack across an entire wall in the garage (post foundation repairs). The quote I received from TSP included scraping excess paint chips around the surrounding area and painting along and over the crack. The crew completed this task, but were not happy with the result. They brought it to my attention and offered to paint the entire wall at no additional cost to me. Another project was painting my media room at my new home. I wanted the media room painted the same day I closed and moved in. TSP was able to accommodate my request even with movers in and out of the house. Casey from TSP brought to my attention near the end of the project that he thought it would look better to have the air vents painted the same color to match the ceiling paint. TSP offered to take the ceiling vent grills offsite and paint them at no additional expense to me, to which I obliged. Texas Star Painting has always gone above and beyond for me. read more

I would absolutely not recommend this company to anyone! They did not hook my refrigerator back up right after painting kitchen cabinets and because of the leak, my hardwood floors were damaged throughout my house. When the owner (Carter) was told, he first stated he would make it right. Then when he found out just how much damage was done, he conveniently decided to not take responsibility. On top of that his insurance is telling us there is no coverage available for this loss. Even when he advertises to be fully covered. A company with an owner like Carter, who has no integrity, should not be in business. Please BEWARE! read more

February 20, 2013 Texas Star Painting gave my home a gorgeous facelift last year! I like this company! Casey is an excellent crew manager. The outside crew did a beautiful job replacing wood and painting the outside of my house. The crew that did the inside did not seem as detail oriented. There was one area that required a brief callback. You can always tell the most about a company by the way they respond when you have a problem. I was beyond pleased with the way Casey and his boss handled a call back issue.
