This was a notice we received over the weekend from Texas Image Volleyball in Grand Prairie letting us know that they are closing the indoor beach portion of their program to make room for additional indoor courts. This has been a second home over the last three years. 680.98 hours just in the last two years is the amount of time I've been there (my daughter has been there even more when I couldn't take her). I ran a GPS report from my companies GPS unit ("only" goes back 24 months), and I've spent just short of 29 full days (24 hour periods) at Texas Image supporting my daughter the last two years. A full month. Beach volleyball is booming across the country and Texas Image Sand has been a second home to my daughter and dozens of other beach athletes looking to pursue beach volleyball at the college level. It's also the home to hundreds of other beach volleyball athletes that play there throughout the winter when regular outdoor courts aren't accessible. As far as I know, it's the only indoor beach volleyball facility in all of Texas. Just an incredibly weak move from a local business. I couldn't imagine not giving your customers a period of time to find a new program and just alerting them via social media post of the closure. To cap off the post, I am incredibly thankful for Ray, Brad, Kyle, Olivia, Blake, and the other beach coaches. Hopefully they were treated better than the athletes, and given a period of time to find other jobs. Stay away from Texas Image indoor volleyball. To add insult to injury, the head coach Brad who has placed dozens of girls in college to play beach received one minute advanced notice before the social media post from Texas Image announcing the closure. Brutal! https://gofund.me/19f320fd

Every time, we played against the same mediocre teams, none of which were any good! This is an utter rip-off for the price you pay! They pocket most of the money instead of investing in a decent tournament. I'd give zero stars if I could. The coaches are so inexperienced they can't even handle basic lineup decisions. Coach Mo had two girls share a sub, even though one was kicked off the team! There's definitely enough space for each to have their own sub. Plus, the coach plays favorites big time. My daughter's first volleyball club experience was a total nightmare! Keep your 5k dollars!

Traumatic experience with the coach, Jada Rock, who is unexperienced, has no maturity (yelled at parents during a tournament because her team was losing and some girls showed up late), does not handle a losing team well, and has preferences on the ones she puts to play on the tournament. My daughter woke up at 5:15 am just to be put to play for 20 seconds in the first day of tournament. She came home in tears, and I complained to Alex Verhagen, who was nice and told me that he would talk to the coach. Second day of tournament, my daughter play for like 2 minutes and that was it. I thought she would give my daughter a chance but she never did. The club has this rule that "being on the team, does not mean that the player will play". Well, without practice how is she going to improve, right? I've put her in private lessons but that did not mean anything. Clearly the coach had her preferences and my daughter was never part of their "circle". At the end of the season, I abandoned the tournament after letting the coach know how upset I was for her incompetence and immaturity. I've never got an apology on their side. Am now trying to get a refund for 2 private lessons that did not happen, and let's see what is going to happen . BEWARE, THIS CLUB IS THE WORST AND A RIP-OFF!!!!
