They allowed us a late checkout and even stopped by to make sure we got our pick up fixed. It's just an empty lot. I was very excited to go here…read more Check in was easy in that you just call them when you get there then go hookup. Note: There is NO ACCESS to the canyon from here. You CANNOT walk into it from this campground. Everywhere you look are NO TRESSPASSING signs all along the thing, which is super annoying. I chose this place to take the dogs on a nice walk into the canyon but seeing these red NO TRESSPASSING signs everywhere killed it for me. We also hit a horrible snow and ice storm staying here. I had no idea it was going to get so cold. My water hose froze to the RV and the pump. I had to use a lighter and grit to get it unstuck. This was the first RV park I ever stayed at. The fact that we couldn't go into the canyon really killed it. The weather didn't help but I know it's not their fault.

They give veterans discount A big clean laundry room (didn't use) It is close to interstate, so easy pull in then get back on road. Gas station across the street also with a subway. Sites are well taken care of & clean. We didn't really notice the interstate noise, but one of the local military jets few over rocked our world. No cable, but we knew that from the start. We are telling and are approximately 50 feet and fit into the spots really nicely. All the spots are very large. What's best is the customer service. We called at midnight last night and somebody answered and said they had vacancy. We did not have this experience in the other campgrounds in Amarillo. In fact this is the only campground the answer their phone at all hours of the night. Other campgrounds didn't even have anything listed On their office showing vacancy spots or even a map of what they have open. Will definitely be stopping here again! The spot was $26/ night. We paid in the deposit box

The campground isn't fancy, but it's got great pull through sites with 30/50 amp power. We parked on the far left corner & had the best clear view of an open field. Very pretty, small trees. We paid the discounted passport America price, you just find your spot first, park, then walk over to the front office. You fill out an envelope with cash or check & put it in the slot. We didn't see anyone at the front office either of the two times we have camped here & that's just our style. They do offer free WiFi which wasn't too bad, except for peak hours. We loved staying here! I don't know if there are showers or laundry, because we live in our Motorhome & didn't need that anyways.

This RV Hookup location is 'gated', so you need a code to enter. The gate is actually just a…read moremechanical arm, one at the entrance and another at the exit. They have pull through and back in sites. The slabs are concrete but the road is gravel (we prefer paved roads). There's a communal sewer dump (not located in the RV Hookup area) that requires a lock code. Both codes are provided in the confirmation email once you book a site.

Spots are large and easy to pull through if you come through the center and aim your rig to the outboard sides. Fenced in spots add to privacy as well. So it it just getting better.

It also had private little yard and picnic tables and flowers . Owner came to make sure everything was working perfectly and helped me with my water hose . I didn't care if it wasn't within walking distance to restaurants . I felt as if I was in my own place with my private fence and yard . My dog also loved having her own little space . I plan to go and do some trails at Palo Duro . I am short distance from what I love . You should come out and check it out for yourself . I will definitely come back .
