This companys legal dept eas an absolute nightmare to communicate with when notifying them of my brothers passing and a CD he left to my grown daughter! We sent them a copy of the will as requested. This should have been enough for them to release the CD to her along with her ID. Everytime we sent them a document they requested something else. Calls asking if he had ever married, had children, were there any other siblings beside myself!? My atty contacted them and advised them they were way out of line eith these questions. They had proof of my brothers passing and copy of will, no probate but they kept requesting more legal documents and notaries required on several! Finally, after 3 months of headaches they released the funds to my daughter and that was after i called and said if there is anything else you need tell me now! My 93 yr old mother got a car loan and they added a parts warranty for almost $5k, which she didn't know about. I was on the phone with my mom when she was taking out the loan since I live out of town, no one said anything about a warranty on the car. Sounds like they are taking advantage of a elderly woman. I am on her bank account and have been trying to get if off for over a month now. My mom and I have gone into the branch since you can't go to the loan office. The GP branch called the loan office while we were sitting there and told them about the situation, they said they would call within the day, which they never did, that was a week ago. I have called so many times for them to say, someone will call and still have not received the call. I have called asking for a loan manager to call me back, nothing! I called wanting to speak to the President, Jim Minge, they said he does not take calls. THEN WHO DO YOU COMPLAIN TO?? My mom and I have been members for 40 yrs and I'm going to change banks. Honestly, I never had a problem with any other bank. I've paid off four vehicles through dealerships and by far this bank has given me one of the worst experiences customer service is no help. They seem inept at their jobs, period. I call customer service, can't get thru. I drive to a location and they can't answer my questions. The stupid app is the only way to maintain contact with them, and responses FROM HUMANS are abrupt and rude. I relocated from another state. Some family members had accounts here, so I opened savings and a CD. A week or so later I opened a checking account, and that's when problems began... I highly recommend coming to Texas trust . I have been with this union for a long time (since 2014). I never have any issues with the staff . They have all ways treated me like a family customer . Have been super helpful in so many ways . They were able to get my interest rate down super low . I'm not sure why this Texas Trust receives such horrible reviews. While I have only visited this location twice, I have had excellent experiences both occasions. A few months ago my debit card was compromised, so I had to go in and get a new debit card. I walked in, explained the situation, and within 15 minutes I had a shiny new debit card. That's one of my favorite perks of being a member of a credit union. If something goes wrong with your card, they will print you a new one on site. This has happened to me at least twice and each experience was pleasant. My most recent visit was to make a check deposit in the drive-thru window. Easy peasy. I filled out a deposit form, endorsed the check, and sent everything via the tube. Every visit I have encountered kind, professional individuals and I expect more of the same upon my return. read more

They really have a habit of having there system down during the most inconvenient of times. Like standing in line to checkout at a store. During the merger a few years ago they totally botched it. Took a week to clean up their mess. I wouldn't even use them except I need a physical local place to deposit cash and my closest USAA is a few cities away. read more

They are super crooks. There is nothing to trust about this Credit Union. They work against you, not for you. I paid $10,000 upfront for my car. I took a $5000 loan out for the rest. I only owed $2,500 of it. I was late because I lost my job. They repossessed but I ended up getting the money to pay off the $2500 I owed. They would not take the money and tried to do everything they could to keep my car. They gave me a lot of attitude because they were mad I came up with the money. When I threatened to call the Better Business Bureau and file bankruptcy, they went ahead and took the money. Went I got my car back, my laptop and other items were stolen. I threatened to make a police report. They tried to bribe me that if I didn't they wouldn't put a repossession in my credit. They are liars, crooks and should be called Texas Untrustworthy Credit Union. I feel sorry for anyone banking here. There mission is to screw you over. Every time I come I get greeted by MAYBE the front person...but the bank tellers NEVER greet. I can stand there and three bank tellers might be there with no customers and I don't get not ONE of them to look me in the eye and say "Hi! Just a minute and I'll be right with you." I feel like an idiot standing there just "waiting" to be called. I like to be acknowledged, especially at a place that has my money. You don't have to provide services right away, I understand if you are busy-but at least acknowledge that I am standing there. Happens EVERY TIME at this location. Terrible service, I haven't had account login access since 2020 and relied on the incoming calls to make any payments to them. 5 Straight years of payments without any reported issues until last month. 30-day late hit my account (AFTER) the incoming curtosey call to make a payment was complete. I filed a dispute and they did nothing to remediate it despite informing them I haven't had login access for over 2 years (this was verified by the rep). I had never had this issue before, but their lack of remediation for the damage infclited on my credit report after the facts were verified is an example of their declining service. I am truly disappointed with the way the telephones are handled. I needed to send a family member emergency money and got a decline.when I had MY MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT. I called the 800# and had to wait 30 minutes to speak with someone (on a Monday, not a holiday), and the customer service agent could not help me and told me I would need to call my bank. Now, I am currently out of town and unable to get to my bank in person. My in-bank offices experiences are very, very good; however, one cannot get to your bank personnel if you don't know there names. You remain in VOICE MAIL JAIL...no way out. I have my money in my account and it should be available to me without waiting 30+ minutes to talk with a customer service agent, WHO COULD NOT HELP ME. She told me I would have to call my bank...there we go VOICE MAIL JAIL. It would be nice if I could get MY MONEY without waiting 30 + minutes and actually get help. Just when I thought Texas Trust could not be any more of an unprofessional institution I was proven horribly wrong. On 4/16/2021 @1:33 p.m.I called a number given to me (972) 595-1049 to check on the progress of my issue w/ Texas Trust I spoke to an associate named Brendan who transferred me to an an associate named Bethany. I was told that she was reviewing my issues. After claiming they they have found no issues with my account. I informed her that I had left a notebook detailing the issues that was roughly 1/2". I informed her I had given this information to Roxanne Gonzales over 1 months ago offered no less than 6 times a face to face meeting to exchange the information & review it together I was denied each time. Bethany's only response was that they would need time to review the materials Roxanne has not given her in over a month. I then reiterated that this time frame was unacceptable given that i havve been dealing with this latest issue with Texas Trust sine July.I then asked if i have her bosses phone #, I was denied this as well. I then asked for Bethany's phone # and was denied this as well. I asked for Bethany's last name I was denied this as well. I then asked for her email, she refused to give me her email address. I then asked for her superiors name who was reviewing the file with her. She replied "his name is Bob. I asked her to repeat this as I was certain I missed the last name she said. I asked her to repeat the name for clarity, once again she only replied w/ Bob.  Iasked for his last name & was refused several times.Bethany's response was 'there's only 1 Bob in the building"  I then asked for his email address and Bethany refused to give me her bosses email address. I then reiterated that I was only asking for an email address not his last name if that was too personal information to be given out. I was denied his email address several times after this after reiterating that I was simply asking for an email address for business communication. I was denied "Bob's" email address. I have never been denied an email address when requested from a business let alone a bank. Bethhany only replied that they are located in a building off I-20. She again denied a request to meet at this location. (total call time 10 minutes 25 seconds I then called Brendan back @1:55 p.m. and requested Bethany's last name and Bob's last name. He promptly gave it to me Bethany Grainer & her superior Bob Kubiak (42 second phone call). At no point did I ever raise my voice or speak disparagingly to Bethany Grainer, nor was i rude to the associate Brenda, so i have no idea why i was denied this information by Bethany Grainger. This is the type of treatment you will receive at Texas Trust when you have about issues. 2 years of fighting fraudulent accounts w/thus same credit union. I am actually hoping that this was not actually Bethany Grainer on the phone and this credit union can actually be this bad. I left messages for Bethany Grainer, Bob Kubiak & Roxanne Gonzales.....not 1 return phonecall. Not a return email from Mrs/Ms Gonzales. Nothing. Will nickel and dime you to death... Actually it's $5 if you transfer $ more than 5 times a month. Also our personal information was compromised within the first 3 months of being forced to bank with. AThey will charge a different fee for everything. Our original credit union, Qualtrust was the absolutely best credit union ever, never any fees for anything. I'm not sure why Texas trust bought them out. Texas trust robbed our son of over $800. He has disabilities and got on a game that charged 2 to 3 dollars every time you wanted to add or change something. He didn't know and the bank never called or sent an alert plus when the checking balance got below a certain point it charged an overdraft fee and transfer fee until all his money was gone. Never notified him. They suck. My previous credit union would have called and would have given a credit back. read more

My wife had an account with Texas Trust Credit Union on a car. She traded that car in over a year ago on a new BMW. The BMW Dealership paid off our car. Texas Trust reported it to the credit agencies as a "charge back". It was not a ":charge back". We traded the car in and it was paid in full by BMW. We have been trying for over a month to get this corrected and nothing has been done. Texas Trust's incompetence reduced our credit rating 143 points!!!! We had a credit rating of 832 BEFORE they screwed up! I am talking with our attorney tomorrow to see what my legal options are for Texas Trust giving FALSE information to a credit agency. Let's just say that after having multiple accounts with Texas Trust for 23 years, I am moving through the process of closing the remaining accounts I have with them. I have had my savings account with them through Vought CU, Northrup Grumman CU, and now Texas Trust CU. By far, this is the worst service I have ever received in any bank, or credit union. There is no concern for the length of time you have had an account or trying to work with them about anything that might be slightly out of the typical. They will NEVER go anywhere near out of their way to explain any policies in person, or publish any policies online. Instead they coldly tell you that is what the policy is and choose to ignore requests for a form of documentation about said policies or explain them on the phone ahead of time when you call so as not to waste anyone's time. Just go down the road to Bank of America or online to Ally Bank. You can get significantly better rates and SERVICE! This isn't one event. This is 3 years worth of trying to work through the process of TTCU member services and management. I am done! P.S. Even after multiple times in branches, online, and on the phone changing and proving my married name, I still get correspondence in my maiden name to the point where I don't think they have a way of completely changing it. They also still email my email I haven't used in 6 years, even after multiple times trying to change it again in person, online and on the phone. read more

Simply put, avoid Texas Trust Credit Union at all cost. I used them for an auto loan. Their website is horrid and nearly unusable. I paid off the auto loan early, but getting the copy of the title took weeks. At least 17 days after payoff before they even sent the request to Austin, and and another 10 days after that before Austin mailed it. I'm a co-signer on a car loan. Below I've detailed my dealing with this credit union over the short time I've been dealing with them and the types of shady business practices they employ. I left Wells Fargo because I want to deal with banks or credit unions that I don't have to watch like a hawk while they set up situations to increase the chance of hitting me with fees or services that I don't need. Texas Trust is as bad or worse than Wells Fargo ever was. Though they have my email address and my physical address they don't seem to think they should keep me in the loop when sending important correspondence about the loan. The first time I called them to inquire about the status of payments they couldn't find my information. I finally was connected to "collections" just so I could gain access to payment information. I asked several times for them to update the account so that the people on the main phone number would be able to pull up information for me. It took many times before this happened. I asked them to update address information and they refuse to do it over the phone. I've done everything on my end to try and be sure that payments are being made in a timely manner and maintaining full coverage insurance at great expense to myself. They sent a letter to the primary borrower asking for proof of insurance. They don't seem to think they need to include me in the conversation because I never received a letter or an email. This is a highly unusual way of doing business considering that my insurance company, GEICO, has resources for banks to access that kind of information and that most banks tend to make inquiries to insurance companies on a regular basis. Since I never received any letter I just remained in the dark until I noticed a few months later that the principal was not changing enough to account for what would go to interest each month. So I called and they admitted that they were pulling $60 a month out of the payments to put towards insurance. I might have never known if I didn't ask. After way too much time on the phone and doing all the leg work for them to get them proof of insurance I finally got the refund process started. It's still not complete though. This seems pretty shady to me considering that no other bank or credit union has done this to me. Once the money has been refunded to the principal I'm going to sell this car and my business with Texas Trust will be over permanently. read more

The most horrible and corrupt Credit Union I have ever experienced. If your thinking of banking her or getting a loan you better look for a honest place because this credit union are filled with scammers looking to see what they can take from you. The credit union I did have unfortunately merged with Texas Trust which why I had to deal with them about my car loan. They repossessed my car which was fine. When I asked the how much to get it back they said I had 10 days to pay the remaining balance of $2,500. When I got the money they did everything to stall, hide and make unjust conditions and excuses for why they didn't want to take the $2500 remaining balance. I threatened to report them to the BBB and file bankruptcy if I had to. They got scared and released the car to me. They tried their best to keep it and to keep me from beating the deadline to get the car back withing the 8 days I had left. When I went to pick it up, it was already sitting at the car dealership that thought they were going to sell my car too. My Apple Laptop and a few more valuable items were missing. They tried to get me to sign the form that everything belonging to me were in the car. I wouldn't sign. The car dealership and Texas Trust became scared. I filed a police report. Texas Trust told me If I just signed the paperwork they wouldn't put repossession on my credit. Well they told a big fat lie and did it anyway. They were pissed because they really thought they were going to keep my car and didn't think I could outsmart them in getting back. To that I say Ha Ha! read more

This used to be a good bank. I was with them for 40 years. My Dad opened up an account for me there. They have grown with that past good performance. Now they have grown into an ugly "I want to be like Citibank" attitude and performance. I left for a friendly, personable bank like they once were. If there was a way to leave ZERO stars, I would have chosen that instead of 1. This credit union chain provides their customers with only 1 phone number to call for assistance despite having multiple locations. I don't have an account with this credit union, just a car loan so I cannot access their online banking system and have no other means of requesting information other than to call or drive to a branch. So, today I decided to call the number to ask a simple question regarding the pay off amount on my car loan and after 4 attempts and a total of 30 minutes on hold waiting to reach someone, ANYONE to get assistance, I finally gave up and had to leave work early to drive to a branch and get some help. I can only tell you that when a bank doesn't bother to answer their phones or for that matter, hire a receptionist to at least give you a sense of hope that someone will eventually assist you, it speaks volumes about their customer service (or lack of). If you can only provide your customers with one number to call despite the fact that you have MULTIPLE branches, then have the courtesy to actually answer the phone when people call you! Ironically, in the 3 years that I've made my payments to this credit union (never late and even paid extra each month) I've NEVER called or requested their assistance, I just made my payments. This was actually the FIRST time calling Texas Trust but thankfully, it will be the last. read more
