Hell no! I do not recommend!!! They're criminal thieves. I had one trip in January for my friend's bday. I paid for 2 tickets over $200.00. Several months later, in April they charged me again for the same amount without authorization. When I brought it to their attention and asked for a refund they claimed they put it through but nothing ever came. One of my friend's also had the same thing happen but he didn't notice until i mentioned it and he went back to check his account. He has not received a response to his inquiry! The variety of wine vendors is fantastic and there are wines you would never find in the store nor if you traveled all over Texas. I love that they bring them to me. I had an amazing time during the wine event! They have a HUGE selection of different wineries and you're able to taste every one. They provide you with a wine glasses and a sheet to rate the wine you taste, so you can remember which one is your favorite. I visited the Wino festival in Plano and I enjoyed it as I am a wine novice. The wine vendors were all nice and explained their wines very well. I also like how they had a few craft and food vendors present as well. The venue was perfect (glad it as not outside). I ended up purchasing 2 bottles from 2 vendor. My only recommendation is that I wish some of the vendors had some small pieces of cheese or chocolate to complement their wine during the tasting, or maybe some crackers present to wipe the palate between tastings. It was a well organized event, where you walk around and get to taste ALLLL the wines from ALLL the vendors/wineries (there were around 8-10). Each vendor had anywhere from 4 to 10+ wines you could try! All the vendors were very helpful and happy to be there - very fun / nice individuals! The event was indoors (a necessity --- June in TX) at a large wedding venue type place. They even had a sitting area with water available and some live music. You received a list of the vendors and a pen to write with, which was nice so you could jot down your favorite wines from each place and not forget after you're on your 10th tasting of the day :) Ended up buying two bottles of wine to take home ! read more

I booked and paid for a wine tour for 7 people in May and went on it in June in Fredericksburg, TX. It cost me $696.01. In July, I was charged an additional $696.01 for 3 days in a row, coming to a total of $2,784.04 that I paid for this one tour. I was overcharged $2,088.03 a whole 2 months after my first payment. No one answered the phone when I called, and "Richard" stopped responding to my e-mails as I was asking for a refund. I'm in the process of disputing these charges with my credit card and I've had to take this on chin and pay my bill and pray I get my case reviewed soon. I seriously don't know how something like this happens. I know people for whom a situation like this would be financially ruinous. The tour was alright. Nothing special. I did a wine tasting at one random winery in Napa once (not a tour) and had a better time. My experience being ghosted by Texas Winos after they overcharged me nearly $2100 has been a nightmare. I've gone on two wine tours with this company. Both times, they started on time, the bus was clean with a/c, and the driver was engaging. We went to three different wineries and had lunch at one of the stops. The bbq lunch is way better than the Italian option. I attended the wine fest in Seguin and it was amazing. Definitely got my moneys worth. Loved the selection and variety.

Bought tickets for myself and my mother. It was such a fun time! 10/10 will be attending future dates in my city. All the vendors were so friendly and helpful when tasting wines. Not to mention that 92% of the wines I really enjoyed sampling, which made it hard to decide which ones to buy. Vendors who sold out were happy to give us the same discounted price online, so we did not miss out on the deals! The only downside was after we got done tasting all the samples, we moved to the garden to enjoy our wine and the live music but sadly only for one song when they started closing up around 9pm (which was said to close at 10pm). But overall Texas Winos was very enjoyable and recommend attending. Even if you're not a big fan of wine. I PROMISE there will be a wine for everyone's taste buds!! UPDATE: trying to get ahold of the person who helps run it & he has been so hard to get in contact with. I'm not the only person. One of the perks of leaving an honest review was getting a free ticket & now I'm trying to redeem for an event that I don't even think was real (August 3rd in Amarillo) because I see it no where on their website but had seen it on the email from when I revived my ticket for the event about this review. We did the Austin to Fredericksburg day trip. Our shuttle showed up a little late and then we ended up leaving about 40 minutes late because the driver had to get food orders and call it in. We were given information that lunch would be at the second or third winery so they encouraged people to eat ahead of time, but then our lunch was at the first winery. The shuttle was very warm which made a pretty uncomfortable hour drive to Johnson city. When we arrived at the first stop we were handed wine glasses for our tasting out of a box... ewww. The glasses were dusty and dirty. The Italian lunch was pretty much a frozen tv dinner heated up and put in a pretty bowl. We didn't even go to Fredericksburg, we went to three wineries in Johnson city :/ The ride back to Austin seemed even hotter, with the AC not working properly. We decided to go to one of their wine fests just to try some things out and have some fun. I didn't expect much, having been to beer and wine festivals before, I assumed like all of them ridiculously long lines to get to talk to someone for 5 seconds and get maybe a swallow of their product. I couldn't have been more wrong. Attendance is limited, which was amazing! The hours, 12-8 in our case, helped more than I knew. No rush to get there early to be one of the first to get in, and plenty of time to come when you're ready. The exhibit hall was laid out really well and has plenty of tables and chairs so you could just go relax and enjoy the day. All of the featured wineries had someone at their booth that was extremely knowledgable about their wine and the winery. I had multiple conversations with exhibitors for several minutes getting to learn all about what they do and what makes them unique. It was truly a great experience. If you're interested in learning about some wineries that don't dominate the shelf space at the liquor store, and getting to try some different things this is absolutely the place for you. Honestly, they should charge a lot more to attend. I've been multiple times and will continue going back. read more

Honestly we had low expectations as the venue was a bit small but we ended up trying so many different delicious wines and purchased some of our favorites to take home to enjoy. My cousin and I attended the Wino festival in Belton last weekend. I wasn't sure what to expect since it was our first one but we had a great time. There was good communication from the start with the emails received prior to the event and even on the day of the event. We arrived and were greeted at the front with a kind attendant. she explained everything and off we went with our glass. We were lucky that when we arrived it wasn't crowded at all but by the time we left it was picking up in people. For your money's worth I would 100% recommend this. I wouldn't say that I enjoyed every wine I tasted but I loved trying new ones out and each table was so pleasant and not pushy. I learned a great deal from each winery. Not only do they have wine to taste but there were so many other tables with great products to buy. I left with an awesome candle, some great smelling lotion, and two delicious chocolate bars. My only negative to the day was the food truck which was ridiculously over priced for what you got but that isn't on the event organizer. I've lived in Austin for going on 5 yrs now and have always wanted to go to wine tasting in Fredericksburg and finally had the opportunity to do this on 3/11/23 with a group of friends. To be honest, I originally was planning to book a winery tour with a different company ...come to find out their tickets were already sold out. Then a friend of mine told me about Texas Winos ..and I'm so glad she did! I saw all the different tours they offer with so many date options and they had a special going on for $69 for a full day tour, round trip coach bus transportation, wine tastings included, Italian food for lunch and a souvenir glass ..now that's a steal! We visited the following wineries: Texas Hills Winery Mendelbaum Cellars Fat Ass Ranch Winery We also had a surprise 4th stop, however I forgot the name of the place. Our group was paired with another small group and we toured 4 Wineries and a bonus stop at a very iconic bar. The tour included comfortable and accommodating transportation, amazing wine, beautiful scenery, delicious BBQ and some of the coolest down to earth people we've ever met! Every establishment was warm ,welcoming and we never felt rushed at all ( If you do wine tours you know that's not always the case) Our itinerary was perfectly timed! I enjoyed the vendors and tastings. I ended up purchasing 2 bottles of wine, infused chocolate bars, popcorn, jerky and smoked pretzels.

From start to finish, the experience was disappointing and nowhere near worth the cost. First, the driver was unprofessional, making the ride barely tolerable due to the leak in the back and the portable AC units in a moving vehicle. The van itself felt run-down and absolutely not the caliber one would expect for a tour priced at this level--it was lacking even basic amenities. When we were on our way back, someone started playing music from their speaker, and the entire bus was on board with this. When we got dropped off, the driver stated, "turn that shit off" before thanking us for the trip and then having the nerve to ask for tips. Extremely rude and unprofessional When we finally arrived at the Mendelbaum Cellars Winery, the atmosphere was even worse. Instead of focusing on the wines and the experience, the staff injected unnecessary political commentary into the tour. It felt less like a welcoming, educational environment and more like being lectured. Furthermore, the staff's demeanor was rude and dismissive, making us feel more like a burden than valued guests. We had hoped for a relaxing, high-quality outing, but what we got was unprofessional service, uncomfortable transportation, and a polarizing, inhospitable winery visit. Save your money and choose a different tour company--you deserve a far better experience than this. read more
