We got the try several kinds of tea, finger sandwiches, and other delicious bites. Friendly and welcoming table service introduces a new item for you to try after the previous food item has been delivered. Austin English Tea Company gives a very girly presentation with mismatched dining sets and fun floral backdrops that are sure to delight tea lovers young and old.

Yes, Austin English Tea Company is quite expensive, but you're paying more for the experience which is so so fun! It's so cute inside and the table spread is so beautiful. The teapots, plates, tiered platters, everything was decorated so nicely. Im so obsessed! The food itself was alright. I'm not the biggest fan of sweets, though. So I didn't care too much for the macaroni, millionaire bar, or scone really. But I liked the lemon tea bread a lot. And I was a big fan of the frittatas. Although some of my friends weren't big fans of the huge chunks of feta inside. But I loved the cheesiness. The sandwiches didn't really hit either for me. But it was still all part of the experience of high tea! The teas however were so delicious! My favorite was probably the peach white, followed by the coconut oolong, and Earl gray. And in true afternoon tea fashion, you can customize the amount of milk and sugar you want. The servers are also so friendly, and you can take home your leftovers. So it was overall a great time!

A Truly Magical Sunday Morning! My husband and I are big fans of high tea, and we've experienced it both around Austin and at traditional tea rooms in the UK--so we had high expectations. The Austin Tea Company absolutely delivered, and then some. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were transported straight to a charming corner of London. The owner herself greeted and seated us, and she couldn't have been more delightful--warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she does. From what we learned, she grew up in England and now lives in the U.S. with her American husband. Not only does she run the tea room, but she also bakes everything from scratch--and it shows. The interior is beautifully curated, with elegant china, classic tablecloths, and whimsical touches like the adorable elephant-shaped cream and sugar dishes (a personal favorite!). Every detail adds to the vintage British charm. We sampled two teas: English Breakfast and Coconut Oolong. Both were outstanding--the coconut oolong was especially unique, rich, and creamy. Refills are encouraged, and you can switch teas during your visit, which we loved. The food was just as impressive. A traditional tiered tray arrived with a generous assortment: delicate finger sandwiches, fresh-from-the-oven scones (served with proper clotted cream and jam), and a sweet selection of desserts including macarons, fresh fruit skewers, and a homemade bar that tasted like a refined Snickers. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely divine. From the exceptional hospitality to the thoughtfully crafted menu and enchanting atmosphere, this was a five-star experience through and through. We're already planning our return visit!

I took my daughter do her birthday and I'm so glad it was here! The service, ambiance, and food were amazing! Can't wait to go again.

Austin's English Tea Company is a lovely place to spend a Saturday or Sunday late morning or afternoon. It is located in north Austin inside Michelle's Patisserie. Their open afternoon teas are a great option for couples or a group of friends, and are the perfect activity for the many rainy days we've recently been having in Austin. The main tearoom is very cute and is surrounded by various teaware with several chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The drinkware is very elegant and you can tell that a lot of love went into the planning and preparation of this concept. The food is delicious. Everything from the spongy bread of the tea sandwiches to the savory artichoke and tomato frittata and crumbly scone tasted of very high quality. The tea sandwiches offer traditional English tea specialties like brie with fig relish & arugula and cucumber & cream cheese. Their sweet offerings like the many berry cheesecake in a teacup and millionaire bars are also delightful. The tea itself is tasty and their menu offers flavors for everyone. You are not limited to one tea flavor so we tried the peach white, ginger lime rooibos, coconut oolong, and Earl Gray. My favorite tea was the peach white, however they were all awesome. The portions are great. Upon arrival of the food tray, I naively thought that I would be able to get through everything since I was very hungry. I was not even close, but thankfully was offered bags to savor the remaining treats at home. You can also buy their loose-leaf teas and other tea-related products on their website. Owner Sarah Olano seated and served every party and made us feel at home in her tearoom. If you plan to visit, I would start checking Austin English Tea Company's website the month before you'd like to go, because reservations are required and spots fill up quickly. They also offer special menus for holidays like Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day, so I would check the menu before picking a date.

    Afternoon tea

The tea is superb. The coconut oolong was my favorite. I go for afternoon tea quite often, and this was so memorable as I was an out-of-town visitor. I enjoyed the food and pastries as well. I went solo, and felt welcomed instantly by Sarah, who also found time to chat with me while accommodating other guests. Worth the experience. It's so fun by yourself or with a loved one or a big group.

More than just tasty food- this is a lovely high tea experience! My experience at Austin English Tea Company exceeded expectations, and I look forward to visiting again with my English expat husband and his family. I expect them to be thrilled to find a lovely little slice of English culture in a Texas strip mall (don't let the strip mall setting deter you- it is adorably and impressively decorated and very "instagramable" if that's your thing :)). You can make what you'd like of the tea service experience, and it was fun to see some guests dressed in colorful "tea party" attire. That would certainly not be necessary, although I think it makes the event even more enjoyable! I arrived hungry and it did cross my mind that such dainty morsels may not fill me up; I was wrong. I throughly enjoyed the food and was more than satisfied. I was even able to take a few small desserts home that I could not finish. Both the sweet and savory items were fresh, well considered and delicious. I will be making cucumber sandwiches at home from now on. It was fun to try so many different teas. They were all tasty and seemed well-brewed. The coconut was my favorite; we were offered plenty of refills by Sarah, the friendly owner, who clearly is passionate about what she does.

The best afternoon tea in Austin!!! We have been coming to Austin English Tea's afternoon tea for a few years now to celebrate events or simply to catch up with friends over scrumptious sweets, scones, finger sandwiches, and wide array of teas! Sarah Olano's food and tea spread is always delicious and reasonably priced! Michelle's Patisserie is a cute spot - and sets the perfect setting for any celebration Afternoon tea at Austin English Tea Company is always a delicious outing.

My husband and I had an amazing time at the Afternoon Tea! The decor of the tea room is very charming. The china and beautiful linens were beautiful! We were both surprised by the amount of food presented. They kindly provide to go packages for the food you are unable to finish. While all of the selections are amazing, our favorites were the Artichoke and Tomato Fritatta , the Brie with Fig Relish and arugula tea sandwich, scone and clotted cream and Many Berry Cheesecake in a Teacup. They have an amazing selection of teas to choose from. We enjoyed our Earl Grey and Coconut Oolong. The staff, especially Sarah, made the entire experience so memorable! I am already planning my next visit! The Austin English Tea Company really do live up to all the 5 star reviews that they have received...I highly recommend them! You won't be disappointed!

Austin English Tea Company is a must for your special events and high afternoon tea! We had the most memorable high tea "party" to celebrate my daughter's "Sweet 16" birthday. Everyone was highly impressed by the service and beautiful details of the room, tea, food, and china/ tableware. I greatly appreciate being able to purchase an English China Teacup for my daughter to always remember this special day. While I do not typically drink tea... I loved the tea here! It must be the extra love and care that Sarah puts into everything. We look forward to being back soon!

Over nearly two years, Cheryl and Rohit guided us through every step with incredible professionalism, organization, and patience. They kept us on schedule through regular planning meetings, coordinated an extensive list of vendors, and always welcomed our ideas and custom requests. We especially appreciated their creativity. The Mehendi décor at our home was beautiful, and they helped bring unique elements like our stained-glass ceremony backdrop and origami crane chandelier to life. They coordinated seamlessly with Indian and Chinese caterers, decorators, photographers, the DJ, hair and makeup artists, and the venue team. When the wedding weekend arrived, everything--from the Sangeet to the ceremony and reception--ran smoothly. Behind the scenes, they managed timelines, vendors, thank-you favors, and unexpected situations so our family could simply enjoy the celebrations. A special thank you to Simran, whose support and attention to detail were invaluable throughout the events. Cheryl and Rohit truly cared about making our daughter's wedding special and treated it as if it were their own family celebration. The venue needed to be large enough to accommodate distancing, catering and food service was sketchy since many places closed, local restrictions were fluid and I didn't live in the city where the event would be held. At one point, I thought we wouldn't be able to celebrate more than having a small dinner. It was discouraging. Then I found Milestone Memories and Events. I had a good feeling about Geri after our first phone call. The second call confirmed my initial impression. I needed someone with experience and good judgment that I could trust for advice. After all, large events take hundreds of decisions and bad choices can create bad experiences for all the guests. To give context, the guest list was 250 people. Given the circumstances, I estimated 100-150 would attend. The final RSVP count came in at 140. This was not a small event and we pulled it off in four months! Here are just a few highlights of my great experience with Milestone Memories: - We developed a budget, and came in under - They got to know us and designed decor and settings to match (my mom loved everything!) - Everything LOOKED AMAZING, tables, center pieces, lighting, photo backdrop, entry tables - All the logistics like how people enter, move, exit, accounting for seating, everything was great - They found the venue, catering, music and negotiated many details so I only made major decisions. I can't tell you how important that is because it can be overwhelming dealing with multiple contracts when the event is personal. - They took care of my parents and were so thoughtful of all their needs on the day of the event - Excellent communication throughout Geri and her staff are genuine, caring people and I'm so thankful we met. Don't misunderstand, she's a skilled project manager and straight forward communicator that will take care of business! What I mean is she thought of details that I could never have thought of. For example, she created a space for my parents to rest before the event and stocked it with a beautiful snack tray. She arranged a "Grand Entrance" which turned out amazing. My parents had a "first dance", and I mean they had never danced in public before, even at their wedding. This was Geri's idea and it made such an impact! This is the longest review I've written and it is still too short. What a great 4 month journey this was with Geri to create such a memorable celebration for my parents! People are still talking about it a week later. I still get emails and texts complimenting how great it was, and we have the best pictures to help us remember. Here's are a few things people are saying: "elegant", "fun", "relaxed", "beautiful", "amazing!"... My mom and dad loved everything! After working with Geri and her team for 4 months, I 100% recommend them to anyone needing a spectacular event!

While we do appreciate her time and all the work she did, we cannot recommend Hana as a wedding coordinator because of her unprofessionalism. Please read below for why. For more questions, please reach out to us: noobebe0710@gmail.com. We hired Hana as our Day-of Coordinator for our wedding with 40 guests on October 5, 2024. We only hired her for Day-of Coordination and not Full Coordination since we were on a budget, and I, the bride, took on most of the planning with the help of my groom. We chose her over fourteen other candidates we thoroughly interviewed, where we spent about an hour for each interview. At the time of interviewing and hiring Hana for the job, she was very enthusiastic and thorough in explaining her role and the additional things she could assist with. Here are her assigned roles from our contract: I reviewed how each role went during the wedding: P for positive on what she did well. Our constructive feedback is below for what could've been done differently. P: She was fun to work with and very easy to reach before the wedding, even during times when she was sick. I was living out of town and the groom was living in Austin while planning, and most of our communication was virtual. She always tried her best to execute the vision we had for our wedding. Timeline management: Ensure the wedding stays on schedule P: On our wedding day, she was punctual and ensured she was the first person at the venue, making sure everything was organized. Rehearsal: Attend and coordinate the wedding rehearsal with the officiant to make sure everyone knows what to do when P: During our Rehearsal Lunch on October 4, 2024, she helped us coordinate our wedding entourage along with the DJ, which was very important to us since we wanted our plans to be executed smoothly. Venue walkthrough: Oversee the final walk-through of the venue P: She attended the venue walkthrough on September 19, 2024 and met with our photographer. Decorations: Ensure all decorative items are in place P: She did well when directing the setup for the wedding ceremony. She also assisted other vendors with logistics, whether it involved decorating or setting up for the reception. Vendors: Manage vendors when they arrive and confirm their setup locations and arrival times Ceremony: Line up everyone for the ceremony and cue the officiant and musicians for key moments P: She was able to tell us our officiant was late and she tried her best to contact him. He arrived on time. Reception: Coordinate the couple's entrance into the reception Cleanup: Oversee the breakdown and cleanup of the venue P: She made sure the venue was clean as the wedding concluded. She helped direct what happened with the wedding decorations during the cleanup afterward. Our decorations went to different cars. Even if some of our family members didn't give her the keys, she carried decorations to the cars. She tried her best to make sure the decorations went to the correct car. Communication: Keep everyone involved informed so the day runs smoothly Areas for improvement: For example, she could have contacted our other vendors such as our wedding cake vendor and DJ during the wedding planning process to ensure better synchronization on the wedding day. We understand that we only hired her for Day-of Coordination and not the full service, but we hired her believing that she would still assist with "some part" of the planning. It was very important to us that she proactively contacted our vendors so we wouldn't have to worry about the logistics. We also wish she had given clearer instructions to the vendors about our specific requests and expectations. Although my husband and I also discussed our expectations with her, it should've been written into the contract. Unfortunately, it didn't feel like she made much effort to contact them in advance. While we provided the vendor's contacts the day we hired her--almost two months before the wedding--there was no evidence that she reached out to them in a timely or consistent manner. This lack of communication became evident when our DJ made a few mistakes during the latter part of the wedding ceremony and parts of the reception. While we know this isn't entirely Hana's fault, we strongly believe that better coordination with the DJ could have prevented these mishaps. We also should've advocated having a meeting with Hana and DJ a week before the wedding to go over the final timeline since DJ Abner had a big role in the timeline. After the wedding, we tried reaching out to Hana for clarifications and feedback. We called, texted, and emailed her multiple times to set up a simple discussion, but she didn't respond promptly--or at all--for several weeks. When she eventually did respond, her email was not apologetic, nor did she acknowledge any responsibility for the mistakes or mishaps.

She went above and beyond and out of her way to help find special additions to make the event that much more special. Her personality and professionalism is the best in the business. We were assured in writing that the ceilings would be taken care of by the day of my wedding. I asked for updates all year and was told every time "they're not done yet, but don't worry, it will get done by your wedding day," Spoiler: that did not happen Ceilings aside, there were good and bad things about this experience. On the day of the rehearsal, my foot fell through a rotten plank of wood and they immediately remedied that which was amazing. Our advisor was very kind and helpful throughout the experience and answered our endless questions. The day of the wedding, however, our advisor was not scheduled to be working, so he was not there and the only staff who were there had not met us before and, due to a language barrier, had a very tough time communicating our needs. Several things went wrong the day-of like no electricity in the ceremony space, tables and chairs incorrectly laid out (several guests had nowhere to sit), and those ceilings were still unfinished (also wasps live in the insulation and attacked one of my bridesmaids). We brought up these concerns to our advisor and never received a response. Like, for weeks. We followed up. Nothing. Then, we get a check in the mail which IMO was not for enough money, but still no communication. It's like the customer service relationship immediately ends on the day of the wedding. Just bizarre. If they ever fix these ceilings, I'd say book it and ensure that your advisor will be working the day of your wedding.
