We got the try several kinds of tea, finger sandwiches, and other delicious bites. Friendly and welcoming table service introduces a new item for you to try after the previous food item has been delivered. Austin English Tea Company gives a very girly presentation with mismatched dining sets and fun floral backdrops that are sure to delight tea lovers young and old.

Feta, tomato, and parmesan frittata

Yes, Austin English Tea Company is quite expensive, but you're paying more for the experience which is so so fun! It's so cute inside and the table spread is so beautiful. The teapots, plates, tiered platters, everything was decorated so nicely. Im so obsessed! The food itself was alright. I'm not the biggest fan of sweets, though. So I didn't care too much for the macaroni, millionaire bar, or scone really. But I liked the lemon tea bread a lot. And I was a big fan of the frittatas. Although some of my friends weren't big fans of the huge chunks of feta inside. But I loved the cheesiness. The sandwiches didn't really hit either for me. But it was still all part of the experience of high tea! The teas however were so delicious! My favorite was probably the peach white, followed by the coconut oolong, and Earl gray. And in true afternoon tea fashion, you can customize the amount of milk and sugar you want. The servers are also so friendly, and you can take home your leftovers. So it was overall a great time!

A Truly Magical Sunday Morning! My husband and I are big fans of high tea, and we've experienced it both around Austin and at traditional tea rooms in the UK--so we had high expectations. The Austin Tea Company absolutely delivered, and then some. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were transported straight to a charming corner of London. The owner herself greeted and seated us, and she couldn't have been more delightful--warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she does. From what we learned, she grew up in England and now lives in the U.S. with her American husband. Not only does she run the tea room, but she also bakes everything from scratch--and it shows. The interior is beautifully curated, with elegant china, classic tablecloths, and whimsical touches like the adorable elephant-shaped cream and sugar dishes (a personal favorite!). Every detail adds to the vintage British charm. We sampled two teas: English Breakfast and Coconut Oolong. Both were outstanding--the coconut oolong was especially unique, rich, and creamy. Refills are encouraged, and you can switch teas during your visit, which we loved. The food was just as impressive. A traditional tiered tray arrived with a generous assortment: delicate finger sandwiches, fresh-from-the-oven scones (served with proper clotted cream and jam), and a sweet selection of desserts including macarons, fresh fruit skewers, and a homemade bar that tasted like a refined Snickers. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely divine. From the exceptional hospitality to the thoughtfully crafted menu and enchanting atmosphere, this was a five-star experience through and through. We're already planning our return visit!

I took my daughter do her birthday and I'm so glad it was here! The service, ambiance, and food were amazing! Can't wait to go again.

Austin's English Tea Company is a lovely place to spend a Saturday or Sunday late morning or afternoon. It is located in north Austin inside Michelle's Patisserie. Their open afternoon teas are a great option for couples or a group of friends, and are the perfect activity for the many rainy days we've recently been having in Austin. The main tearoom is very cute and is surrounded by various teaware with several chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The drinkware is very elegant and you can tell that a lot of love went into the planning and preparation of this concept. The food is delicious. Everything from the spongy bread of the tea sandwiches to the savory artichoke and tomato frittata and crumbly scone tasted of very high quality. The tea sandwiches offer traditional English tea specialties like brie with fig relish & arugula and cucumber & cream cheese. Their sweet offerings like the many berry cheesecake in a teacup and millionaire bars are also delightful. The tea itself is tasty and their menu offers flavors for everyone. You are not limited to one tea flavor so we tried the peach white, ginger lime rooibos, coconut oolong, and Earl Gray. My favorite tea was the peach white, however they were all awesome. The portions are great. Upon arrival of the food tray, I naively thought that I would be able to get through everything since I was very hungry. I was not even close, but thankfully was offered bags to savor the remaining treats at home. You can also buy their loose-leaf teas and other tea-related products on their website. Owner Sarah Olano seated and served every party and made us feel at home in her tearoom. If you plan to visit, I would start checking Austin English Tea Company's website the month before you'd like to go, because reservations are required and spots fill up quickly. They also offer special menus for holidays like Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day, so I would check the menu before picking a date.

Afternoon tea

The tea is superb. The coconut oolong was my favorite. I go for afternoon tea quite often, and this was so memorable as I was an out-of-town visitor. I enjoyed the food and pastries as well. I went solo, and felt welcomed instantly by Sarah, who also found time to chat with me while accommodating other guests. Worth the experience. It's so fun by yourself or with a loved one or a big group.

More than just tasty food- this is a lovely high tea experience! My experience at Austin English Tea Company exceeded expectations, and I look forward to visiting again with my English expat husband and his family. I expect them to be thrilled to find a lovely little slice of English culture in a Texas strip mall (don't let the strip mall setting deter you- it is adorably and impressively decorated and very "instagramable" if that's your thing :)). You can make what you'd like of the tea service experience, and it was fun to see some guests dressed in colorful "tea party" attire. That would certainly not be necessary, although I think it makes the event even more enjoyable! I arrived hungry and it did cross my mind that such dainty morsels may not fill me up; I was wrong. I throughly enjoyed the food and was more than satisfied. I was even able to take a few small desserts home that I could not finish. Both the sweet and savory items were fresh, well considered and delicious. I will be making cucumber sandwiches at home from now on. It was fun to try so many different teas. They were all tasty and seemed well-brewed. The coconut was my favorite; we were offered plenty of refills by Sarah, the friendly owner, who clearly is passionate about what she does.

The best afternoon tea in Austin!!! We have been coming to Austin English Tea's afternoon tea for a few years now to celebrate events or simply to catch up with friends over scrumptious sweets, scones, finger sandwiches, and wide array of teas! Sarah Olano's food and tea spread is always delicious and reasonably priced! Michelle's Patisserie is a cute spot - and sets the perfect setting for any celebration Afternoon tea at Austin English Tea Company is always a delicious outing.

My husband and I had an amazing time at the Afternoon Tea! The decor of the tea room is very charming. The china and beautiful linens were beautiful! We were both surprised by the amount of food presented. They kindly provide to go packages for the food you are unable to finish. While all of the selections are amazing, our favorites were the Artichoke and Tomato Fritatta , the Brie with Fig Relish and arugula tea sandwich, scone and clotted cream and Many Berry Cheesecake in a Teacup. They have an amazing selection of teas to choose from. We enjoyed our Earl Grey and Coconut Oolong. The staff, especially Sarah, made the entire experience so memorable! I am already planning my next visit! The Austin English Tea Company really do live up to all the 5 star reviews that they have received...I highly recommend them! You won't be disappointed!

Austin English Tea Company is a must for your special events and high afternoon tea! We had the most memorable high tea "party" to celebrate my daughter's "Sweet 16" birthday. Everyone was highly impressed by the service and beautiful details of the room, tea, food, and china/ tableware. I greatly appreciate being able to purchase an English China Teacup for my daughter to always remember this special day. While I do not typically drink tea... I loved the tea here! It must be the extra love and care that Sarah puts into everything. We look forward to being back soon!

The jellies added just enough sweetness to make the drink more enjoyable without overpowering it. Since we ordered everything at lower sweetness, that little boost made a noticeable difference. Once properly mixed, the salted crema elevated the drink even more. It added dimension and somehow lifted the entire flavor profile, making everything taste fuller and more cohesive. Pandan, Pandan, Pandan -- I liked the flavor, but I felt like the 25% sweetness dulled some of the pandan's impact. It ended up tasting almost like a gentler, blander matcha -- which, honestly, I didn't mind since I'm not always a fan of matcha bitterness. Let's Go Ski -- easily my favorite of the night. The sweetness was mellow and balanced, and the winter melon flavor really stood out in the best way. Winter melon can sometimes lean overly artificial, but this one tasted just right. Like the Jaded, the salted crema worked wonders here when mixed properly. The way it accentuated the drink genuinely elevated the entire flavor profile without overwhelming the mellow sweetness. The boba here was absolutely perfect texture-wise -- chewy with just the right bite. It wasn't as sweet as I expected boba to be, but honestly, that worked in its favor. Sometimes, less sweetness lets you focus more on the actual flavor of the drink instead of the toppings stealing the spotlight. My best friend actually went back for another drink before the night ended and chose the Taro-Zo Matcha at 25% sweetness. Taro-Zo Matcha -- we absolutely loved the subtlety of this drink. We both agreed it tasted even better once mixed properly, and whatever they use as the base for their ube crema is honestly addictive. It added this creamy richness that made the drink incredibly easy to keep sipping. To put it into perspective: between the three of us, the drink lasted all of two minutes before it completely disappeared.

There is a parking lot that you can get validation for 2 hrs free, but after that you will be charged. Overall though, it's totally worth a visit! The bartenders are really friendly, the bathrooms are immaculate, and the inside of the place is really cute -- think kinda pink vintage? There are some tables, and big comfy couches around a coffee table in the middle of the bar which is where we sat. I had one of their happy hour cocktails that was similar to a creamy espresso martini, and they are 50% off on happy hour days/times! My friend got one of their floral cocktails which wasn't discounted but I LOVED it personally. I also got a strawberry matcha drink (non alcoholic) that was a little too sweet in my opinion; I finished it but wouldn't get it again. Overall though the cocktails and vibe in there are worth a visit alone! When it's not too hot, the area outside has little mini-chandeliers and is also very vibey.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.
