What a great event! I will admit i was leery because it sounded to good to be true! (Wine glass, 40 samples, no huge crowds ) It did not disappoint! I loved meeting all the small business owners and sampling all the varieties of wine and wine infused goodies There was even chocolate and coffee infused treats to be sampled . Of course we got some things to take home as well. I DEF will be doing this again.. Loved the small crowds and the ease of check in!! Add it to the LOVE LIST

I booked a wine tour for my birthday last year with about 30 friends, and we had an absolute blast! This was actually my second time doing one of their tours, which included three winery stops and a delicious lunch. The wine selections were fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the relaxing bus ride made for a perfect escape from Houston. Our driver was professional, and the whole experience was well-organized and fun--everyone was there for good vibes and great wine. I've also attended a few of the wine festivals they've hosted, and they always feature a great variety of Texas wineries. The pricing is very reasonable for everything you get, whether you're doing a winery bus tour or attending one of their festivals at different locations. Highly recommend for wine lovers or anyone just looking for a fun and memorable outing!

Beware of Double Charges On two separate occasions, Texas Winos charged my credit card twice for the same purchase. The first time, I reached out to them and received a word-for-word, copy-and-paste response that didn't resolve the issue. They never refunded my money -- thankfully my credit card company stepped in and issued the refund. I decided to give them another chance, but lo and behold, they did it again. Same response, same lack of action. Beware -- this company has a pattern of double charging and not returning funds. I am still waiting on my $800 refund. In my opinion, they are scammers. Check your credit card statements closely if you choose to do business with them.

We had so much fun at the cypress event at the cypress Alamo! One of the food trucks at the event was a pizza place that had some of the best pizza I have had. All of the vendors were friendly and laid back and the wine slushies were perfect for the warm weather. I was really surprised at how many vendors and different wineries were at the event to try.

It was my first time attending one of these events. This one was at the Cypress Alamo and it was amazing. There was a wide variety of wines to try, food and other vendors to purchase from, the music gave us a chance to sit outside and enjoy conversation with friends. It was hot at first but later in the evening it cooled down.

Enjoying our time at the Wino Fest

Taylor was a great tour guide. Totally worth the price! Would recommend if you want to go visit different wineries in Fredericksburg.

Wonderful trip with friends. Adam is spectacular and making this bad boy pop off. Generous pours and decent music. Gotta love it.

I cannot get a response to emails or phone calls at Texas Winos. Can anyone help? I need to talk to…

What are you asking? I have been to 2 Wino Fest events. Love them.

Is there another number for this business? I purchased vouchers through their website and it states to call them to register for an event. When I try to register online, the site charges a tasting fee that is already included with the voucher.

Contact Michael via email "Richard Wino" <richard@winoevents.com> He's really good at responding in a timely manner.. You will have fun

When Steve and I were planning our trip to Austin, Texas we realized fairly quickly that we didn't…read moreknow the city very well at all. In previous vacations we took bus tours to get a little bit more familiar with the city and that is what we did with Austin. Only this time we rode a Double Decker bus! I have seen this kind of bus tour here and there and have seen it when I am in Seattle. Officially I think after this particular bus tour it was my first time riding a Double Decker bus. The weather was typical spring weather on our entire visit but the day we chose to take this tour it was nice and warm and a perfect time to go ride this bus followed by rain for a few days (This took place in April). The ride was so much fun and the tour guide was great! Austin is definitely a different cut than the rest of Texas and that was reflected in many of the people we met. Open mindedness being one and we really felt that with the tour guide. He was so knowledgeable of the city and the neighborhoods and all that made this bus tour all the more amazing. But of course they would probably have staff with personalities that would be compatible in this way. Riding on the top of the bus was so much fun. A few times we had to duck from tree branches and I lowered my head a few times from the traffic lights but that was just me getting nervous with being that high to a light. You see all the sights, famous buildings, museums, local culture, restaurant recommendations and so much more while on this tour. So this was a great experience! I was in Austin proper once a very long time ago and saw just how much it's grown. So it was cool getting acquainted with the city one more time thanks to this bus tour!

I was so looking forward to finally taking a tour of the city. I've been coming here visiting my…read moreson for the last dozen or so years and I've never done it. At first, I sat on the upper level. It was wonderful to be out in the fresh air. However, the sun was a little too much for me so I had to move down to the inside area. I was the only one down there which was fine, but it was really quite filthy. There was thick gray dust on the top rail of all the seats and the fabric on the seats themselves was all thick with black grease. The tour guide was really wonderful. Entertaining and knowledgeable with one exception that was actually kind of disturbing to me personally. When we got to South Congress he talked about the "I love you so much" wall. His story of a husband painting it for his wife could not have been more wrong. It was in fact done by an artist named Amy for her then girlfriend Liz an infamous Austin hotelier and restauranteur. It is an incredibly iconic part of Austin history and if it's told it should be not fiction. I hope for sure this can be corrected for future tours.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Austin…read more Buying the tickets online for the sunset cruise was easy (the people who sat at our table were able to walk on and buy tickets, too). The sights from the river of the bridges, buildings, birds, & reflections off the water were wonderful. The worker who narrated the tour was personable and informative. And yes, it was BYOB, which was another enjoyable bonus. We got very lucky that night. It was a particularly warm December evening, and I'm from Seattle so I was sweating and not knowing if this was normal weather out in Austin, but I guess this may have had something to do with the luck we had that night. This was a normal sunset tour, NOT a bat tour. I've heard of the bats under Congress bridge being a thing to see in Austin in warmer parts of the year. We were not expecting to see them this time, and this is what the worker told us from the very beginning. However, after much of the tour is over and the boat is making its last approach towards Congress bridge... I hear another patron shout "Captain, look!" We all look towards the sky. A thick twisting wave of little bats is passing above us. Then another, and another. They keep, on, coming!!! It was amazing. The narrator said, "Well, I guess this just became a bat tour!" and he shares more information on the bats, points out observations as they fly, and just made the whole journey even more memorable. Even without the bats, the tour was awesome, but I love how easily they transitioned into bat tour mode. Thank you Lone Star Riverboat for an unforgettable time!

We arrive at the pickup spot, check in, have a drink and it's all done seamlessly. Hannah was a great bus host. She's spot on keeping us informed where we are and what to do when we arrive. We followed all of the instructions, including being ready to check in at 10:30 at BBG's. A group of about 10 of us stayed there until 12pm and called it. Absolutely ridiculous. Multiple phone calls to the tour company with no response. I hate to leave bad reviews but this was so disappointing. We really were looking forward to this, and specifically came to Austin for tubing (versus the other idea for a trip we had which was the beach. In hindsight, we should've flown to California instead. No one would be able to forget us that way.) Other companies had their groups successfully picked up and whisked away by their tour vans. (austin detours was one). We flew here and bought a 12 pack for 2 of us and ended up lugging around cans of beer through downtown Austin for no reason. If our trip was a little bit longer this might be less disappointing. However, I couldn't recommend this company. Unless you wanted to wait an hour for zero reason at all. At least if I booked Austin detours I'd be on the river. It just makes me so sad thinking about the multiple groups of us sitting around at that bar waiting for essentially no reason and no communication. Do not. Book. The river raft.
