My experience with Texas Winos started off on a positive note. In June 2025, I attended one of their Wino Fest events in Magnolia and thoroughly enjoyed it. Based on that experience, I booked the Fredericksburg Vintner Winery Tour & Italian Lunch for my birthday in July 2025. Unfortunately, less than an hour before the tour was scheduled to begin, it was canceled. We were notified by email that the scheduled driver had experienced a medical emergency and the backup driver was already assisting with another event. The company apologized and offered to double our winery tour credits, provide free tickets to any 2025 Wino Fest, and allow us to attend a Boat Bash on Lake Travis that same day. While I appreciated the gesture, the Boat Bash offer was impossible to accept. We received the email around 10:00 a.m., and the event began at 11:30 a.m. We were already in Fredericksburg, so there was no realistic way to drive to Lake Travis in time. Although my birthday plans were ruined, I understood that emergencies happen and accepted the four winery tour credits and two Wino Fest tickets for future use. A year later, for my birthday in July 2026, I decided to use my credits to book the same Fredericksburg winery tour. We arrived at the designated meeting location early and waited for the tour to begin. The scheduled start time came and went, but no driver or tour vehicle ever arrived. Even more frustrating, there was no communication whatsoever to let us know there was a delay, cancellation, or any other issue. I immediately called, texted, and emailed the company but did not receive a response for more than an hour. Richard eventually replied by email, stating that the driver had picked up the vehicle on time and that their digital roster showed the other attendees had joined the tour. This only added to my confusion because I had arrived early at the exact meeting location provided in their confirmation link. I even replied with a screenshot from their own link showing where I had been instructed to meet, but I never received another response that day. The following day, I again requested an explanation for what had happened and asked for a refund. I received no response to either request. After two consecutive years of having my birthday plans ruined by this company, I can no longer recommend them. My communications have been with Richard, and based on my experience, I feel I was treated unfairly and ignored when I tried to resolve the situation. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before booking and hopefully avoid the disappointment that I experienced. read more

This is a zero star review, I had a wine tour for my wedding party and we showed up and there was no wine tour. Previously, I paid for a wine tour in Dallas for 2 people. They cancelled the night before and emailed me and advised they would double my wine tours and I could reschedule. I rescheduled for 4 people on June 20, 2026 and then I show up and there is no wine tour. Another person on the wine tour in my party indicated they recieved emails advising them the tour was canceled: I never recieved any emails and I have contacted them 4 times about the wine tour cancellation on June 20, 2026. This place is a scam and will not communicate with you and will cancel late night the night before your tour and not advise you of it in order to keep your money. I had to go to the website and lookup the event the morning of the event to know it was canceled. I can't get a refund and can't get to communicate with me. They will only communicate prior to the wine tour, once they cancel you are out of luck and they've stolen your money. If you don't have money and time to waste, do not use this company. I purchased tickets for their wine fest. I did not receive tickets, rather I received several emails stating they would provide information about the event as time got closer. Immediate red flag!!! The day before the event we received another email stating they would provide information the morning of. I would like to add we traveled for this event. The morning of , we received an email stating they were postponing and we could receive double credit to attend two events. I don't want to deal with this place at all. I just want my money back. Don't waste your time with this company. They canceled my event on the morning of the day I was supposed to travel from Dallas to Neches River Basin & Italian Lunch. This was supposed to be an anniversary gift for my wife and they failed miserably. They gave us an excuse that the coach driver was suddenly ill and that the alternate driver was already on another route. After reading past reviews, they've used these same excuses over and over again throughout the last few years. They tried to make it right by offering me credits on other events, but I just wanted my money back. They haven't returned any of my emails and have stopped communicating with me altogether. I filed a complaint with Groupon, but Groupon keeps sending me automated emails saying that they are still trying to work with Texas Winos to resolve my issue, but Groupon appears to be having a tough time getting a hold of Texas Winos also. read more

I booked the Texas Wino Tour for my birthday celebration, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing and embarrassing experiences I have ever had with a tour company. The day before our scheduled tour, after my friends had already paid and made plans, we were informed that our pickup and drop-off location had changed. That alone was frustrating and unprofessional because it created unnecessary inconvenience for a birthday event that had already been planned and paid for. On the day of the tour, we were picked up in a Sprinter van that had no working air conditioning, had an unpleasant smell, and appeared to have mechanical concerns. We also noticed that the engine light was on. What made this even more concerning was that we were told the pickup/drop-off location had changed because the other Sprinter van had mechanical issues. After we left the first winery, we noticed that the warning light appeared to have been covered with black electrical tape. That was extremely concerning and made us feel uncomfortable about the safety and professionalism of the transportation. The tour itself was also not what was advertised or expected. We were supposed to visit three wineries, but we only visited two. There was no real tour guide experience. The driver stated that he would be both the driver and the tour guide, but he barely said anything the entire time. When I asked him about the air conditioning, his response was, "This is as good as it gets." That was shocking and unacceptable, especially considering the cost of the tour and the fact that this was supposed to be a special celebration. The second winery, Pemberton Winery, was a terrible experience. The wine tasted spoiled, sour, and unpleasant, almost like apple cider vinegar. Several people in our group were concerned about the quality and safety of what we were being served. The person presenting the wine also lacked warmth, personality, and hospitality, which made the experience even worse. At the very least, if the wine was not enjoyable, the customer service should have made up for it, but it did not. The food was also disappointing. The Italian meal did not taste like authentic Italian food. I ordered the white fish, and it was not good at all. The salad was good, the drinks were fine, and the gluten-free bread was good, but overall the meal did not meet expectations. Honestly, I would have preferred barbecue served on the winery lawn over the meal we received. This tour did not feel classy, organized, or professional. There were no souvenir glasses, no engaging tour guide, no real hospitality, and no attempt to make the experience special. It felt like we were treated as though we had paid very little for the tour, when in reality this was a paid birthday celebration with a group of people who expected a quality experience. What makes this even more disappointing is that Texas Wino Tour never offered a discount, a partial refund, or any meaningful apology for the poor experience. Many people on the tour were complaining, and the entire experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. I was embarrassed because I had hyped this tour up to my friends for my birthday, and it did not come close to meeting expectations. My group handled the situation with class and poise, but this experience was unacceptable. Based on this tour, I would strongly recommend that anyone booking with Texas Wino Tour ask in advance about the exact wineries, transportation, air conditioning, tour guide, food, and what is actually included. Also, I would personally avoid Pemberton Winery based on our experience. This was not the birthday wine tour experience I expected, and I am extremely disappointed. read more

Do not book not! Not only did they change the tour destination the night before but their "luxury coach" had no Ac. We rode over an hour and a half there and back with no AC. Also we only went to two wineries and had eight tastings the 14-17 tastings that they advertise is a complete lie. Attended Texas Winos Richardson this past December, and it was a blast! My friend and I had a seamless check-in. Samples were plentiful, and the people were great vibes! We really enjoyed our time tasting many different wines and getting to know each winery. I love how there was a good variety of other businesses, from sweets, snacks, and personal goods! I've gone to one event a couple years ago and it was great! We got a confirmation email and texts. THIS time we only got the confirmation page. No emails or texts. Thank goodness I screenshot it because this time it was a SCAM! They took the event off of their (horrible) website. We drove out of town for the weekend to go to this event!! Such an inconvenience. I have dealt with this company for years with no problems but I see now this company has turned into a Ponzi scheme , they take your money, cancel the event due to a driver medical emergency. They contacted me the morning of the canceled event and told me they had room for my group on another tour that was previously "sold out" on their website. They contacted me at 8:54 am , that there was a pick up location in irving at 10:30am and irving is an hour away from my home. I have requested a refund everyday since the cancellation on 7/10 , it is now 7/14 and i have received one email asking me if I still had my card or if it was expired. This company is false advertising, taking peoples hard earned money with no intentions on there ever being a tour. I believe they may do some tours but they do not do them all . I picked the Dallas tour , as i read the reviews now i see this company as done this to many people and it is sad. I have filed several investigations towards this company as of today . This company is also on groupon stealing peoples money. $200 dollars of my money and you think im gone lay down and let you take it , NOPE! This is criminal, i had 7 people in my group, this man Richard took $700 dollars and gave us nothing . The alternative he gave us was ridiculous and is now avoiding refunding me my money. Just imagine how many other people that paid for this tour and did not get their money back with a bus that seats 20 people. This company is stealing money and times are hard , way too hard. I sent this email 6 weeks ago to Richard after he sought feedback regarding our experience. I never received a response. Hi, Thank you for your email and for the opportunity to provide feedback. We were very much looking forward to the experience but were left very disappointed, unfortunately. First, we were out on a tour bus that had no AC. When I got on I asked the guide if the AC was out and he replied, "yes, they didn't have the parts to fix it". It was 90 degrees that day and incredibly uncomfortable. We went to Johnson City which was never a destination shared in the description of the event. We went to a winery outside of Fredericksburg and then to Fat Ass making this last stop the only winery in Fredericksburg we visited. Again, the description of the day was that we would visit 3 wineries in Fredericksburg. We were also never taken to a honky tonk that was also supposed to be part of the trip. The trip was also cut short as we arrived 30 minutes prior to end time. In addition, a guest was reprimanded by the tour guide when he opened a window to allow some air to flow as we were very uncomfortable. ABSOLUTELY the worst wine tour experience EVER!!! I booked the Texas Wino tour for November 15th to celebrate my birthday, and the entire experience was unorganized, mismanaged, and far from what was advertised. The tours were rushed, we spent more time on the bus than at the wineries, the communication with Texas Winos was terrible, and every group on the bus shared the same complaints, it wasn't just my party. The tour guide did the best she could, but Texas Winos should be ashamed for putting anyone in that situation. I've reached out to the company three separate times by email and through Instagram DM, and I still have not received a single response regarding my refund request. At this point, I truly hope they address this issue, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this tour to anyone. read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would! Worst experience ever and it was our First and last tour with this company!! We joined our friends for their Bachelor/Bachelorette party using this company and didn't receive any of what they advertised. No guide, a hot bus with NO A/C, no souvenir glass, no guidance whatsoever. We toured 2 wineries, there was supposed to be 3. The restaurant had no idea we were coming for lunch and was not prepared for our arrival. Along the way, one of the guest in our group was given a blank signed check to give to the restaurant to pay for the tours meal. Why is it our responsibility? The restaurant was confused, we were confused. The bus brought us back almost an hour early shorting us the last wine tour. It all started wrong from the minute the tour bus parked outside for pickup. He didn't greet us or let us know he was there to pick us up. A guest had to go ask if he was there to pick us up for the Wine tour. We made the best of our time but our friends were so embarrassed when this should have been a great time celebrating them. My partner and I have been on three Texas Winos tours (the first two were in the Houston area) and the first two were good (although the bus arrived over an hour late for the first one), but this last one from Dallas will henceforth be known as The Wine Tour of Sadness. Where to begin? First of all, the tour guide never showed up and the pivot was for the driver to just drive us to the wineries. Okay, fine, but half the fun of these tours is a good tour guide to pump everyone up (which was the case on the previous two) and tell us about this history of the area and the wine, etc. We did not have any of that, but we decided to just go with it. So we headed out through Dallas. We were supposed to go southeast to the Neches Valley and we instead headed southwest. We asked the driver what winery we were going to and he said he didn't know. He just had the address, which he wouldn't tell us. We eventually figured out we were headed to the Granbury area, but if I were new to the Texas Winos, I would have thought we were being kidnapped and our organs harvested. Fortunately, that didn't happen, but unfortunately, after driving for an hour and a half, we arrived at a winery that didn't seem to know we were coming. But to his credit, the owner stepped up and gave us pours and told us about the wines, so all good. But we were supposed to have food at the first stop and he didn't have food, so we were hungry (we did bring a few snacks). The second winery was the saddest place I'd ever been, almost. The vines were dead and the wine was the worst wine I've ever had (like when my home-brewed kombucha goes too long bad). There was no attempt at explaining the wine and this owner also didn't seem to be expecting us (so I'll cut him some slack. And frankly, maybe they weren't even participating in this tour anymore, for all I know). It felt like we were crashing people's houses with a tour bus. In fact, I'm not mentioning any of these businesses in this review because I can only assume they didn't even know we were coming. At the first one, we seemed to interrupt a birthday party. It was very awkward. By two pm, we were all getting hangry and the last place was supposed to have food, but no. They didn't know we were coming and weren't going to serve us. The driver (the only Texas Winos employee) did nothing to remedy the situation, didn't call to help figure it out, and just kind of shrugged his shoulders. We were about to just leave when one of our party pretty much grabbed the driver's phone, called the Texas Winos and organized the food, but then they wouldn't give us any wine or a wine tasting. We finally got that figured out as well (my partner talked to them and wrangled that), but we didn't have a tasting, just a small half pour of wine with dinner. There seemed to be zero effort to help the whole situation on the part of the Texas Winos. We were actually relieved that the driver didn't abandon us in Granbury and drove us back after that. We went back to our hotel and drank wine there. At any rate....it could hardly have been more of a mess and the only good thing that came from it was we enjoyed the people we were trauma bonding with and it makes a really funny story that we plan to tell for years. read more

I've done a few things with Texas Winos over the years and it's always a great time to be had. I tell folks that I'm not really a wine drinker but I always find something that I enjoy when I go to wine tastings. When going on a wine tour it's nice to venture out and see some of the local vineyards and drink a glass or four of their wines. The beer tour was a blast as well! Be very careful with this company and what card information you choose to give them. During the experience, two out of the four wineries did not expect us to be there, and we did not get nearly as much wine as we were promised. My initial wine tour experience was canceled. I have been trying for over a month to get a refund.

Very disappointed!! TX Winos canceled our wine tour date 6/28/26, due to driver having a medical emergency. We were given the option to reschedule for another date or a full refund. We opted for refund. As of today, we have not received refund and no more communication from them. Last communication was 6/30/26, trying to offer credits and wanting me to confirm my credit card was still valid. I responded immediately advising CC is still active and to please send refund. All thru email. And unfortunately and suspiciously the only form of communication is thru email, no phone number to call. Should have taken that as a red flag when buying tickets! I emailed again on 7/3/26, and still waiting for refund. It's been crickets. I will be reporting them to the BBB and Groupon( some of my party ordered thru Groupon)!! I was willing to schedule a tour in the near future but now ABSOLUTELY NOT!! This is not a way to run a business and treat your customer.! read more

Don't believe the positive reviews. They're as fake as this company and the events they're "hosting." Upon booking, you won't be sent an email confirmation because "Your name will be on the 'list.'" However, there is no list, because there is no event, because this company is fake and just trying to steal your money. Texas Winos has been around for a while and I'll admit they USED TO have real events, but sometime in the last few years things have changed and now this company is 100% a scam. I was very excited to experience this wine tour but unfortunately our experience was not enjoyable. I am currently typing this from my seat on the bus ride back. It started off with the bus being an hour late. The "coach bus" was a small party bus with a pole in the middle of it. We were extremely cramped sitting and as a person that experiences leg pains, it was a very unpleasant ride the entire time. The locations themselves were nice but after the first stop, everything felt extremely rushed, which I would assume is from us running behind. Even at the last location I overheard that we were not able to get our 4 samples and that we only had time for 3. I find that to be unfair if we are paying for a full experience. I don't have much to say about the guide. She was polite and communicated well but I thought if a tip was encouraged that she would've been more involved/interacted more with us. I had done research and watched videos of other people's experiences and am truly saddened that ours did not seem as fun as others. I brought three others with me and we all finished the tour feeling the same. And you didn't find out until less than 5 days until the actual event? They sent an email claiming that they would provide a refund OR switch us to another location on another date. I had flown in from out of state so applying my credit to another venue did not work for me. I took the second option in asking for a refund. We attended wine fest on 12/28/24 in Arlington. It was a nice event. Only criticism is the lack of music/entertainment and lack of Black owned wine vendors. There was at least one musician while we were there but we couldn't hear anything! Only reason we knew he was there is because we saw him playing. We went on a Texas Wino tour yesterday from Austin. I have done this before in 2019 and wanted to experience it again. So when you book a wine tour with them it has about 3-4 tasting stops. This time we did 2 wine tasting stops and the other 2 stops were bars that did not have wine tasting and it was out of pocket purchases only. Let me repeat that we already paid to be on the tour which was suppose to be 3-4 WINE stops with lunch included. So we get to the last stop that was in a small town and it was made more than obvious that they did not like the fact that there were black people in the establishment by the customers who vocalized it, left or made comments to where we could clearly hear and feel very unwelcome so we remained outside while others were inside. Our entire group along with the other African American groups were very uncomfortable and upset by this experience. This was very disappointing because this was our 1 weekend to want a care free break to let lose and have fun but our tour director didn't even play diverse music... he very much so catered everything around a set of group people he chose. After my experience this time I do not think I will ever attend another tour with Texas Winos. I do understand that the recent flood may have had a hand in the locations chosen but at least put a note online that lets people know about the inconvenience or disappointment that may cause instead of mishandling everyone's experience and money spent. read more

I booked a tour for me & a friend, we took the day off work, drove 3 hours from Oklahoma, booked us a hotel room for the night near the pick up/dropped off location, then less than an hour before we were supposed to leave they send me an email saying the tour was cancelled. I brag on Texas Winos after attending my first Festival in Beaumont and planned for my family and friends to all go to the next event. DO NOT BOOK A WINE TASTING WITH THEM!!! They canceled the event and won't refund I signed up for an event ordering three tickets total. The week before the event I hadn't received a reminder or anything so I looked the event up online. The date wasn't showing so I reached out to the company directly asking about the details, etc. A few days later someone from the company returned my email saying they cancelled the event because they messed up the event venue space. They said they didn't book the whole venue so had to cancel the event because there wouldn't be enough space. She said she could either offer me replacement tickets or refund my money. When I replied asking for a credit, they ghosted me. No response. I have emailed them several times since then and no one has answered me. They owe me just under $100. read more

I would caution booking with Texas Winos. The company left us stranded in Fredericksburg on what was supposed to be a birthday trip with friends. We were sent a notice two hours before our tour was supposed to begin, stating that the driver was ill and that our tour reservation could not be fulfilled (mind you that we are from Ft. Worth and had spent hundreds of dollars on accommodations in Fredericksburg just for the tour). We were advised that we would get a credit for the trip that was cancelled, plus an extra voucher so that we would be able to take two tours. Trying to rebook the cancelled tour, yet alone the "free" tour has been fruitless. The company has not responded to my emails to fulfill the tour purchased and will now need to escalate this to our attorney to issue a demand letter. My friends and I ended up just visiting vineyards on our own (another several hundred dollars for tastings) and were advised by the owners of the vineyards that Texas Winos often cancels their tours and has a terrible reputation. read more

I had a booked Fort Worth winos tour set for 15 June for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. On the day of departure I received your email/text from Texas Winos canceling the tour only 60 minutes before departure because they didn't have a bus driver to replace another that was sick. Since this was no fault of our own we requested to receive a refund in the amount of $199 that was paid. It has been four weeks and I have still yet to receive a refund. I have called and emailed management several times, and keep getting a response that the refund has been processed. It took only two days to take my money for scheduling, but after four weeks I still can't get a refund. They gave me a complimentary ticket to a wine festival, but still no refund. Debating my next step, but this is really so very unprofessional, please be cautious. read more
