Came here and told them I wanted to buy a gun but I have some issues with my background. They told me in order to run the background I have to purchase a gun. I've got two guns and they ran the background for me. 3 days later I called them and they told me I was denied. I went back to get my refund and they told me they usually charge $150 for the restocking fee or something like that. ($75 for each gun) they gave me a discount of 50% and I end up paying $75. Usually I have no problem with this but in the past I have visited 2 other gun shops and they did not charge me anything when I was denied. Not coming back for sure! read more

They seemed like really cool guys and I like supporting small businesses so I bought the SIG Tango MSR scope from them. Shouda done more research because I found out after that the scope only cost $330 brand new straight off of SIGs website..... They got me for $595. Feel like I was scammed a little bit because it's not even close to a $500 scope and they know that. So I paid $300 for a scope and $295 for them to mount it (mounting a scope isn't a $300 service btw). Not a bad place. Seemed like ok guys. But I won't buy from them I can tell you that much. read more

I had been searching for a Beretta PX4 Storm Compact for a couple of months. Everywhere I went it was out of stock. Justin quickly checked online for it and found what I had been looking for a couple months. He gave me a quick rundown on his thoughts about the gun. Brought an AR rifle in to have the gas port opened up and a new adjustable gas block installed. 3 weeks later, I stopped in to pickup my rifle. Gas port is opened up, but the new adjustable gas block is not installed. Response was, "oh, sorry". WTF? What is the point of bringing a rifle in to have a repair and installation done if only half the work gets completed? BS service is what you can expect from these guys. read more

These guys are great! Needed an odd small part that I lost, called another vendor close by and they were rude... so I decided to never go back there. I called these guys and they were VERY polite and helpful, not to mention they knew what I was talking about. I stopped by a few minutes later (on a Monday / BTW they are closed on Monday) and the owner of the shop stopped what he was doing with the phone ringing off the wall so search a box of odd parts to get that I needed. Surprisingly he didn't even charge me for the .80¢ part that I would have gladly paid a few bucks for. He just said "Don't worry about it man, just come see us if there is anything else we can do to help" He DID NOT have the "I'm more gunnie of a gun guy than you - I own/work at a shot therefor you are beneath me!" Attitude that so many others have... I'll be back to support their business in the future! Looks like they had a nice selection of new and used stuff too... I didn't ask prices because I didn't want to find a "great buy" this close to Christmas. Thanks again Texian :) read more

We bought 2 AR-15 from this store and a HK handgun, one of the AR-15 came with the wrong Barrel, I brought in My Bodyguard to change the sights and they damage the slider and it has been 5 weeks and still don't have my slider for My Bodyguard, at this point I just want my gun back I just don't even want them do anything with it anymore. I just left the store and they told me the owner is out of town and I have to wait one more week just to find out what's going on with my slider. Very unhappy. read more

The folks over at Texian are great. I walked into their store thinking I was just going to browse and maybe pick up a Draco but I ended up doing a full custom AR build instead. The owner, Justin, is extremely helpful and walked me through the entire process of my build. His prices are fair and he's willing to basically price match what you'd find online. The guy who assembled my rifle, Tim, is also extremely knowledgeable and friendly and he basically walked me through the entire field stripping and cleaning process. To make a long story short, these guys are awesome and they really know their stuff. Its nice to walk into a store and see that the people working there have a true passion for the product they're selling. Texian is an awesome outfit! In building my first AR I headed over to buy an armorer's tool and was impressed with how welcoming they were. In popping in for just a quick second, I found myself an hour later still chatting with them. They were super cool throughout my rookie questions and were really engaging when we discussed a few weapons that I was more comfortable/experienced with. So I finished my build at home and, being a cautious owner, wanted to have it looked over before hitting the range. No problem! Justin and Tim went about checking out my work, making small suggestions along the way, and were really great in handling a newbie. I admittedly went the low-cost route on my first build and they offered some suggestions for modifications or for my next build, but at no point did I feel like they were strongly upselling me. All in all it was a ridiculously comfortable experience, I was super impressed, and if you're looking for a shop in the area I would ABSOLUTELY advise taking the trip so these guys can help you out! read more
