I have been to Hot Wells several times on visits to the Houston Area. Their prices are reasonable and the staff is very helpful. The pistol range is different from most I have been to. The employees actually change targets for you. The problem with this is that you can't shoot a few rounds and view your target. You're pretty much stuck with the same four small bullseye targets until the line becomes cold. I haven't seen anyone acting unsafely while on the firing line, which is a plus. The staff seems to be high school aged kids, but even though they are young, they make sure the rules are followed. Thank you Hot Wells for allowing me some shooting enjoyment while in Texas.

I really enjoy coming here to the gun range. I feel save here and I bring my family'. They are also helpful if something goes wrong with your firearm. $14 per pistol and it's all day. Can't beat the price. Also if you have any questions about fire arms they are very knowledgeable.

I just started to go shooting since Memorial Day ,and have been a great place to shoot, is open on rainy days, usually you don't have to wait on long lines, I just wish it open more late on Friday.

The range is very well organized and great staff. I highly recommend the into to skeet class. My instructor Tammy was very informative.

First off I've been shooting guns since I was 10 years old, hunted deer, fowl etc and I'm in my…read more50's now. I took a handgun shooting class taught by Glenn. And I walked away learning so much, my aim has changed and I learned how to focus differently. No matter the age or how long you've been shooting. Taking a fresher course is a good idea. I used my stock Glock 19 - 9mm with just a light no extras for the class. Here are my observations: 1. Glenn is very patient 2. The way he speaks and terms used was simple and easily understood. From beginners to experienced shooters. 3. HE IS VERY MINDFUL of GUN SAFETY, (which I like). He makes sure to clear his own gun several times before demonstrating anything for the student. And reminds to clear our own gun and holster it prior to moving around. He did this continuously throughout our time together. Awesome! 4. His teaching process is step by step and easy to follow. 5. He taught proper grip and pressure where needed and where to keep a looser grip. 6. He showed how to aim and where my focus point needed to be with these 50+ year old eyes and I was so much more accurate. 7. Glenn has a passion to teach shooting and he cares. You can sense it when you take his class. It's not a money grab for him. I highly recommend taking Iron Soul Tactical shooting classes taught by Glenn. You will walk away learning something new about your ability, have lots of fun and be a better shooter. Glenn is a really nice guy and a veteran. He's also an excellent shooter, that's probably the only part I don't like about him. J/K. Go take his class you won't regret it. And you'll have lots of fun.

We even dealt with the OWNER, who was the rudest of them all. The second we arrived, they asked where we were from. We brushed it off as small talk, but looking back, it felt like judgment. We were a large bridal party with both experienced and new shooters. Since this is advertised as a TRAINING CENTER, we expected the staff to be welcoming toward beginners, review safety, and provide proper instruction. Especially since we had called ahead, explained it was for a bridal party, and were told they were "excited to have us." No mention was made about experience being an issue. Upon signing the liability waiver, the owner handed me a Ruger magazine (even after we said we were more familiar with Glock). He gave us five seconds to load it (even after we explained we usually use a tool because of our nails) before yanking it back, saying he had "seen enough," and accusing us of lying about our shooting experience. At that point, everyone was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. When we told them, the owner yelled that he'd be happy to take our money but didn't want us shooting there anyway. As we walked out, he and his staff stood at the window and stared at us until we drove away. Truly, this was the most uncomfortable and unnerving experience I've ever had at a gun range and we are members at multiple ranges in our home state... I highly encourage. You read the one star reviews of people having ricochet bullets hit their hands and they begin bleeding and need to go to the ER and the owners didn't care. Or about the owner screaming at a seven-year-old. Please check the other reviews before coming here!!

Yeah--pretty much nailed my experience here. Didn't even make it to the range. The vibe said loud and clear: wrong place for you buddy. Their canned reply is basically, "Fill out a form online." Thanks--I'll get right on that boss. I live out of state but work kinda close by. I would love a range to kill time at.

Attention all people with purchasing power. Stay as far away from this place at all cost. The customer service is the very worse on this planet. The manager is arrogant and delusional. The prices are a bit higher. The range lanes are small and tight so it feels like you are crowded in like sardines. You can only shoot lugs and don't dare buy a gun from here as it instantly loses its value and they compare it to buying a car. So I have been to this place 4 times. Purchased a riffle, got the whole membership thing and returned a month later to buy a handgun. I was talked into buying a specific model that they didn't have to rent to test. (Yes, to test any gun you have to pay to rent it first.) So I bought it, didn't like it, took it home overnight to think it through and decided to take it back to trade or return it for a model with a safety. So you have to talk to the manager to inspect the gun before you can trade it in. They offered me half the price I bought it for literally 2 days later from when I bought it and it was shot 1 time. I told them I wanted one with a safety. So with some casual back and forth to explain my concern about wanting a safety these dudes told me they refuse to let me trade in the gun even if I agreed to take the half price hit. They wanted to force me to keep the gun and get used to it instead of allowing me to trade it in at a lost to me all because I wanted a safety on it as the gun was going to be a gift for my wife. I was shocked. Wait .. I WAS SHOCKED! That's better. So I say, wait?! "So you don't want me to trade it in because you disagree with my reasoning and you will not sell me the one I want because you want me to keep this gun I don't want and keep coming back to pay for practicing with it more until she's comfortable with it vs me take a lost and getting another one that she is already used too." They said, "exactly." I said "cancel my membership and I will never come back here again." Regardless of the policy, the rudeness in customer service from the manager himself was completely inexcusable. I would have simply kept the gun and bought another gun as well if the customer service was such trash. I left there angry, found another spot up the street who traded it with zero problems with a way, way, way less hit than Suck Range USA and then the new spot was like, "if you buy anything from us you have 30 days to return it for full price." I'm like ..heck yes! So. Never shop at Range USA. Don't even waste your time on the tight range where even the target button never works right or at all. And they don't even warn you that the moment you buy anything from them, that you can only take it back for half of what you paid for it. Range USA is out of range! Stay safe and Prosper.
