This museum has multiple floors. It is free at the moment. I came here with B. The people at the museum were very friendly. The theme of the museum is the artwork from the mother and her daughter. The museum is very hidden and is very small. There isn't much to see. Everything is very spaced out. Also their artwork were not that unique. I guess you have to like textile or be interested in textile to find this museum interesting.

This museum has items in its collection dating back two millennia. Apparently many of the 17th century items are good. Unfortunately, there's no exhibition featuring the permanent collection & when I was there only 3 items were displayed at the workroom - they're not joking when they say "only a small percentage of our collection can be displayed in our galleries at once". When I visited there were just 2 temporary exhibitions which I didn't find very interesting. One was of a Sikh-heritage artist who uses social justice themes and the other was of 3 First Nations woman artists. So before you go, check what exhibitions are currently running (some exhibitions will feature items from the collection), or you may be disappointed.

amazing beadwork by Katie Longboat, a part of the exhibit "Beads, they're sewn so tight" till May 26, 2019.

a very nice museum - rather on the small side, and somehow hidden inside of a big and rather ugly concrete building. a very convenient location - one block east from the St. Patrick Station (line One). there is a wonderful gift shop which is a joy to explore, with some amazing ideas for souvenirs and gifts for fabrics/crafts lovers. I really liked the temporary exhibit that is currently on display (till May 26, 2019) "Beads, they're sewn so tight" showcasing pieces by Native artists: Bev Koski, Katie Longboat, Jean Marshall, and Olivia Whetung. I am really happy and saw this art work before it ends. there is also a library and workshop with real looms (you can try some weaving if you want). the Museum organizes craft classes so their website is worth checking for calendar updates. a great place to go for anybody who likes handiwork, crafts and textiles.

Small doesn't necessarily mean bad. This museum displays different exhibitions throughout the year. They do a good job curating the artwork in the small space on the second and third floors. You get exposed to artists and their works you didn't know existed, but isn't that part of enjoying art, getting inspired or turned off by different pieces?

Amazing and weird show from a couple of years ago, which had winged insects on the walls in patterns. Beautiful and creepy.

So much fun to see some of the miniature Toronto scenes that we had just seen minutes earlier in real life. And the whole thing really inspires me to get out and see more of Canada in the future. The level of detail is truly astounding and I could have easily spent several hours reading all of the signs and looking at everything. Favorites included getting to see the workshop where the artists work and chatting with one of them, the room that is kept extra cold to represent the far north, and the miniaturization station where they use dozens of cameras and a 3D printer to create miniature models of museum visitors that can then be taken home or placed somewhere in one of the exhibits. Such a fascinating exhibit that we loved and would definitely return to!

It is a very large venue in the basement of The Tenor. When it opened, it showcased the Golden Horseshoe, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Toronto, Quebec City, The Maritimes, West Coast (Vancouver, Victoria, Capilano, Okanagan, Tofino), and Northwest Territories. Everything is built to scale. There are moving vehicles and other animations. Each location is also shown in a 24h cycle in 15 mins or so. More Canadian destinations continued to be added, taking 9-12 months to complete. The Little North exhibit is kept in a cooler temperature-controlled room, so that guests can see their breath as they exhale! In Nov 2024, Mini Media was introduced for advertisements embedded within the exhibits like scaled miniature billboards, transit shelters, and murals. There is a Littlization Station. There are 128 cameras that take a 360 degree picture simultaneously of a visitor. They then make two 1/87th scale replica 3D printed models, one of which you take home, and one to be placed in any location you choose! Entry prices increase as there are more attractions added. You can also buy a yearly membership. The venue is open 364 days a year! There are cheaper prices for children (4-12yo), students, and seniors (65+yo). In 2023 Little Canada was named Ontario's Choice Awards Attraction of the Year by Attractions Canada. They do honour the Access 2 card. There is free WiFi. The venue is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking and paid parking lots. Review 2026-147

The place's theme was sustainability ad protecting the earth, and they made it pretty engaging. There are also things to interact with and watch. The VR with the tablets was actually surprisingly cool. Each room in the experience was so spectacularly made that it was breathtaking. Finally, the virtual reality experience at the end was one of the coolest things I have ever done in Toronto. Before you go, note that it is heavily reliant on technology. It is also best to have storage to download the app on your phone, unless you want to borrow a tablet. This was a cool experience that I would recommend for people of all ages.

I love how they combine art + technology to teach about climate change in a way that's easy for kids to understand. The VR feature and interactive elements were fun, and it's definitely a great place for families or anyone looking for something different to do in Toronto. That said, for the price (~$39), it may feel a bit short for some people, and it's more of a "go once" type of experience. Still, I appreciate the message behind it and think it's worth checking out at least once--especially with kids!
