I have to say, I think Daisy and her salon CAN do great work. My first haircut that I had with her back in May 2019 was great, exactly what I was looking for and my hair felt very healthy. And for $40 you can't beat the price for a women's cut. Unfortunately I just went in for another cut and while I asked for a fairly drastic change in style, I still needed some length to play with. My hair is wavy and cutting it too short can have extremely negative effects. I felt like I communicated what I needed well, but unfortunately my hair is now too short to do much with, and is uneven even for what is supposed to be a semi A-line cut. I have no choice but to deal and let it grow, which sadly will take a long time for me. I am very disappointed and will be looking for a new stylist. read more

Licia.. Licia... LICIA! Ask for Licia! Shes literally perfect. Shes such an artist, and always makes you feel comfortable while in her chair. My hair is somewhat confusing for a men's cut, and to be honest, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. I've visited several different hair salons and none can compare to Licia. She understands exactly how my hair grows and how it takes shape. Lica also never over cuts! You can always go back and cut more, but once it is gone, you can't. Licia knows what "cut a few inches" actually means, and won't scare you into hiding in a closet for a month with too short hair. Every cut I have ever had from Licia was on point, and I always get more than a few compliments from random strangers. Since Licia is perfect, she also cuts Women's hair. In fact, I was referred to Licia by a girlfriend of mine who's A Line cut is as bold as her hair color. Her and I both have flawless hair (thanks to Licia). I am SHOOK. I have never trusted ANYONE as much as I trusted Daisy. And I can actually say I was not let down. She took her time and I can definitely tell that this was so much more to her then just getting paid. She made sure I was comfortable and pleased with my hair. She explained everything so well and gave me even more then what I expected I had such ugly orangy , weird length hair and not to mention how I had A LOT of hair...poor girl was standing there for like an hour or more cutting it that's how much hair I had!! I had an amazing experience. I was referred to Daisy by my cousin who had also gotten her hair colored by her. I showed Daisy a picture and I was more than please to say she did better than the picture I had shower her! She got my hair to feel healthy again, even though she dyed it. I recently moved back to Santa Maria after finishing up school down south and was in desperate need of a haircut. I found Textures on yelp and saw all the great reviews. After getting my hair cut my Daisy I can see why! She was so attentive to what I wanted done, asked questions and explained each step as she cut my hair. She took the time to explain the Eufora products the salon carries (which I LOVED) and I was so impressed. I left with a serum to keep my blonde moisturized and hydrated, and am waiting for a shipment of the shampoo! I am definitely planning on seeing Daisy again to have her touch up my blonde. Shout out to my stylist Karina!!! OMG this girl IS AMAZING!!! Being new to California I was so nervous to have to find a new hair stylist (in Texas I would drive 4 hrs to get my haircut!) but having been here almost two years without a haircut just wasn't cutting it (no pun intended) and I couldn't fly to my stylist in Texas....I was prolonging my haircut because I was scared that I would go to someone that would do a horrible job. Well my hair needed a cut bad! So, I took the plunge and just called the first salon I could find. The lady who answered was so nice and said she would call me back as soon as she found a stylist who fit my schedule and sure enough I received a call back within 10 min confirming my stylist, Karina, and appointment time. Karina was super nice, she heard me out she saw pictures of what I wanted and she knew exactly what I was looking for. She took her time and asked if I was happy with what she was doing several times. Long story short...she has a customer for life! My haircut is amazing and I love the products she used on me! I have been coming to see Alicia at Textures for several months now. As a redhead, it's challenging to find someone who is willing to listen to exactly what I want. Alicia always listens and is willing to experiment with me. One time, we tried something that I wasn't totally thrilled with in the end, and she stayed late with me way after hours to correct it even though it wasn't her fault. I enjoy the laid back and still professional feel of Textures. They use Eufora products which I've been pleased with and has helped preserve my red. After going to my usual stylist that I had been going to for years, I finally decided to leave when my layers were so blunt and my hair looked bad. I walked into Textures and explained by situation about an hour before they close but to my extreme good luck, Daisy was available and welcomed me with a smile and actually listened to what I wanted and gave me advice what would look even better! She fixed the horrible cut I came in with!!! AND she was friendly and soooooo easy to talk to! I LOVE my cut and have gotten sooooo many compliments!!! At the last minute I asked if she could get rid of my uneven caterpillar eyebrows and she said YES!!!!! She had a customer FOR LIFE!!! Funny thing is that i didn't even know she was the OWNER until I looked at her card when I got to my car! I first got a haircut from Sandra at Textures. I asked her at the time of the haircut how much highlights would be for my hair. She said "$75 to $95". My hair length is at my shoulders. About a month and half later I went back for highlights, cut and cover some gray (not much gray). To my surprise, when I checked out she charged me $170 (again, my hair is at my shoulders). I reminded her what she quoted me and she said everything is separate price. Highlights is $95, haircut is $40, root touch up is $35. It would have been nice if she clarified that is the way she charges. I have never been to any one who charges that way and that much for my length and for what it looked like afterwards. Choppy haircut, uneven bangs and color was not even close to the photo I brought in. There are plenty of stylists who do great work for much less. read more

I had Karis yesterday for a cut and color, and I am so incredibly happy with how my hair turned out. I got about 5 inches off, so the hair is just above my shoulders and I am now a nice medium-beige blonde. I also got a fun streak of purple right behind my right ear on the bottom layer of my hair, which came out so well! Karis was helpful and patient during the entire time. I went to this shop to get my haircut, and I have no complaints except that Alanna was my stylist and did an ok job, but I would still never go back to her! The whole time, all she did was badmouth the other stylists and gossip about things that I was obviously not at all involved with and frankly don't care about. She has a horrible attitude problem, and is definately not a team player, going as far as to steal other peoples clients, spreading rumors, and disclosing personal information about her co-workers. read more
