Dan is an amazing Project Manager and knew when he had to conversations about challenges with the project. He is honest, fair, most of all transparent. He stands by the work his team does every day and I would as well! Communication with him was wonderful and he was always available. Building a home is one of the most challenging things we've done in our lives and I am grateful for so many things that I learned and that Dan taught me. Thank you for our amazing and forever home!

I wish I never met Cecil the weasel! This pathetic excuse for a business owner told me a different…read morelie every time we spoke! I had to baby sit the entire project, even demand the stop at certain time because of mistakes and corners cut. I had to force them to reschedule pouring the concrete slab because there was frost and frozen dirt. They rented a portable radiant heat system to warm up the ground and it sunk 2-3 feet in the corners! Can you image what that would have done to my concrete radiant slab? I was told they do this on jobs all the time...Great! We caught them trying to charge us for the diesel used for the portable heater. I am NOT paying for your mistakes. My wife also caught them trying to charge us for 4 toilets, we have 2 bathrooms. We had to go through the bills with a fine tooth comb, they had tons of items from other projects on our bill. The project finished 6 months after we were told it would be finished. Since completion, I have had to hire other companies to fix everything that is going wrong. Gas stove incorrectly installed and set off carbon monoxide detectors on our first night in the house. I had to have an exterior door completely reinstalled because they left gaps in the wall and covered it with trim. Less than 6 months in and the dry wall seams are starting to show. The list goes on and on and I don't have enough room to list it all. I was told by most of the workers that they were not getting paid for work they had done months ago. I am not sure how they are still in business. Saratoga would be a better place with Cecil the weasel behind bars! Complete crook with no concern for his clients. Once her gets his checks from the bank you will NEVER see him on site again...

Project: Remodel or Convert an Attic What a mistake we made…read moreputting our trust in Total Home Solutions of NY, LLC (THS). Never in all of my years of working with contractors have I had such an unfortunate experience. Work began on our house without proper permitting and without a certificate of insurance- both required by law. Work completed did not meet code as determined by both a licensed architect and the local town code enforcement officer. The code officer outlined the steps necessary to make our house a legally inhabitable space, but THS failed to assume full financial responsibility to make it right. We had to pay out of pocket for what is essentially the price of the original contract to fix these issues ourselves. THS has not returned any credit for our substantial out of pocket expenses to bring their work up to code and has not reached out to resolve the issue. It shakes me to the core that people and their companies can sleep at night with this type of behavior. Based on our family's experience I WOULD AVOID THIS BUSINESS UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

They were honest, very professional and very meticulous with the instaslation, they made it look easy ! ( don't try this yourself) you really need someone with the years of experience scott has, very patient great guys trustworthy and great to talk too as well they installed my doors in less than 2 days and they work PERFECTLY !! We had our modular home built by Westchester Modular and then Saratoga Modular Homes, LLC, finished…read morethe home after it was delivered and set on the foundation. Saratoga Modular acted as our general contractor. We lived on Long Island while the home was being built and was commuting back and forth about every week or two. The home was finished in May of 2014. From Day 1 our master shower leaked into the basement. We brought it to Cecil Provost's attention multiple times over the course of 7 years. Cecil is the owner of Saratoga Modular Homes, LLC. He kept saying it was "bad" grout. He wanted to seal it with caulking. Not on my brand-new tile shower! Seven years later Cecil had his worker rip out the complete shower and re-build it. THE PAN WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY! Westchester Modular was responsible for the subflooring in the entire home. The wood floors on the first floor began to squeak after about 4-5 years. Westchester Modular was called in to make repairs. They came and added 2 columns and sistered some of the beams in the area of the squeaking. It did not solve the problem, and the squeaking has spread to the whole first floor. As I am writing this, we have a company in our basement sistering the beams to hopefully correct some of the squeaking. This is a major expense as well as a major inconvenience. All of the insulation has to be taken down as well as the in-floor heating elements and re-installed after the work is done. Our outdoor lighting fixtures by our garage were hung on the siding, not into the house itself. They were actually drooping. Good thing my husband was able to redo several of their mistakes. We have had to hire outside companies for the jobs my husband could not tackle. These are just 3 of the major headaches we have had to deal with. Cecil has reached out to me and promised that he is more than willing to work with us on any issues we still have. I am also willing to work with him as well. Don't get me wrong...we love our home and always get complimented on our house on the hill. All our problems are in the past and we are happy to be living in the North Country.

As a handicapped person, I have had them do several modifications to make my home more accessible; they have even made suggestions I had not thought of. They came in at estimation or checked with me on suggestions for improvement before anything was added to project. When my cleaners came in after the construction, they said it was the cleanest they had ever seen a crew leave it. They even made sure it was picked up and cleaned when they left each night. They are enjoyable to work with.I have worked with many constructions crews over the years and I can say they are best in area.
