What I found was a surprisingly delicious eatery providing tourists with the final flavors of the Yucatán. The colors and textures of the eatery are intended to remind tourists as much of the warmth and coziness of a hacienda as one can get from a food stall in an airport. Hacienda serves breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner specialties. This is not an eatery to enjoy if your plane is about to board--there was a fifteen-minute wait before the food was ready. I ordered the: Cochinita Tacos (Yucatán-style barbecued pork with pickled red onion) Lime Soup (chicken broth, sofrito, sour lime) Agua de Chaya (leafy perennial shrub native to the peninsula) Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. I am already planning a trip to the area this year. Usually someone who doesn't like to wait long at the airport, I will definitely make time to experience the panuchos, salbutes, and Motuleño-style eggs. She said she UNDERSTOOD I couldn't missed my shuttle for my trip and it would be fast!! By 8:30, my shuttle had arrived and I had to leave. I told the bartender I can't wait any longer and had to leave, she asked would I be coming back tonight after my excursion. I told her I would. When I came back at almost 9pm, I had to go back and forth with the manager about what happened. He said he understood about catching the shuttle and he had to make a call to his boss. After 45minutes of waiting and going back and forth, he said his boss checked the camera and I left even after waiting half an hour for 2 burritos, so I get no refund and no burritos!! I SHOWED HIM SCREEN SHOTS OF MY RECEIPT WITH THE TIME I was charged and the time I had to leave!!AND HE ACCUSED ME OF LYING SAYING I SHOULD'VE WAITED LONGER than half an hour, so he wouldn't help, just argue with me about why I left? People were enjoying themselves and the wait staff was friendly and talkative. I ordered shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the mole. He always orders mole. The meals were very good. We ordered a mango margarita and Tecate. The margarita came with a tehine rim. I just wiped it off. That is becoming so popular. I decided to indulge in the banana dessert and I am glad I did. It came with a show. That was fun and the dessert was delicious. We were there earlier in the evening and we saw many couples and families.
