As far as the doctor goes, Dr. Garcia is good. He is honest stern and to the point, He take his time with you and very easy to talk to. I feel he is an extremely conscientious doctor and explains things very clear to you. Now, the practice? If I was to rate his office staff...it would be a mixed bag; incompetent, arrogant, defense, thin skinned, and lack of customer service skills. They are somewhat disorganized and you do have to sit on them to get them to call you back, answer questions and on occasion, can be a little rude, for lack of better term. This really applies to the front office, who often gets it wrong. His back office staff is pretty efficient BUT . they DO NOT communicate lab results very well. His front office staff...they are not a good reflection on the doctor, so if you are the type who is easily frustrated by an office staff who is not necessarily organized or doesn't necessarily communicate well ... this might not be a good fit for you. They could screw up a 3 car funeral when it comes to scheduling. Folks this is Corporate Baycare Healthcare at it's finest (tongue in cheek).

His office has always been caring and find time to fit me in if needed. The one review I read from 5 years ago, is so far from the truth. He is caring and so is his office. They have found me other specialist when needed and has been there for me as I have needed. Now, if you want a person to sugar coat it, and explain things as if there is nothing wrong with you, then you are going to the wrong person. He is a man of strong will and will take care of you but, will not listen to some of the wining I have heard from others. That is the type of person I want to go to and not someone that won't listen to me. He will call you on it when needed and will explain everything as to why he is doing what he is doing with your care. I remembered one time I had gout so bad that I went in there on Crutches. He gave me a shot and explain to me that the med's the Dentist had me take, was the cause of it. I went to the Pharmacy and the Pharmacist had to look it all up and found out that he was right and that she should have caught it herself after searching for it. By the way, the shot he gave me worked by the time I went to bed. Yep, I will continue with him since I do drive 110 miles each way just for the visit and care! Tom

And my Dr helped me with everything I needed and more. I went to my previous dr for 3 1/2 years and he really didn't help me much. If so - then you are me, and I don't blame you because your health is important, and who the H E double hockey sticks wants to pay for some jerk to hardly listen to you or blow you off? Dr. Launder listens. Really really listens and takes time. She takes notes and tends to remember everything without looking back at them. She gets to know you and she continues to know you. You are not a number. An added bonus is that her nurse is precious. She has the same remarkable qualities and they both make you feel comfortable and cared for. I would recommend her as a primary physician above anyone in Port Richey. Trust me, I've been around different doctor's offices.
