Excellent Seafood soup. Tangy and spicy. Loved how it had real crab, none of that imitation stuff. However, everything else we ordered was just average; chicken was dry, rice lacked signature layers of Thai flavors. Portions were on the small side as well. Came here for the first time with my daughters. The appetizer came out really fast . We ordered two entrees and steam rice . 20 mins later we received the first entree . 40 mins later . Ordered almost $50 worth of food to be delivered on a Monday night and it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive! I've passed by Ing Doi Kitchen many times since I live close by and we dine at La Cocina quite often. So, I figured I would give Ing Doi a shot. I ordered the BBQ chicken, Beef Sate appetizer, and my wife orders the BBQ ribs. I also ordered a Thai Iced tea. When our order comes in I get Chicken Sate instead of Beef and I tell the waiter I wanted the beef, but I'll eat it since I don't want to waste the dish that was already made. The chicken was actually not bad, I was concerned it might be dry as it is at times, but surprisingly it was not dry. The BBQ chicken and BBQ ribs were both good, but not great. All the food was very sweet and there was no savory taste to counter the sweetness in any of the dishes. And washing it down with a Thai iced tea wasn't helping either. So, the waiter checks in on us and says "sorry for getting the chicken instead of the beef, would you like a refill on your Thai tea". So I said said yes, thinking I guess at least he's trying to make up for the mistake. I come to find out that I was charged for 2 Thai Iced Teas. And ran up a bill of $40 for the two of us. So much for a good Thai place near our house. I'll stick with Jasmine, they have great food and at half the price. So, if you get that urge to try this place out just because you always pass it by, just go to La Cocina or Vincenzos instead. read more

I have been here numerous times, whether dine in or to go, always loved the food as well as service. This time I ordered garlic chicken to go. When I got home and opened it it looked like somebody ate half of it already. I get this dish all the time and I know how the portions looked before. They rise price, which I understand but cutting on portions at the same time is not good for business. Manager also didn't really care and tried to persuade me that is what a portion looks like. Ordered thai tea and tofu pad thai to go last night and it was delicious and abundant. Definitely paid a little more than usual - almost $13 for these two items and the parking is dicey at best but they do have two or three spots dedicated right in front of the restaurant. We are local to this place and have dinner delivered from Ing Doi at least once a month. We've been eating at this restaurant since they opened and I can tell you they seem to have increased efficiency. The delivery time is usually around 30 minutes and when we eat inside the restaurant the food always comes out hot and quickly. The food is always fresh and that has been consistent since the beginning. The quality of the vegetables is always top notch. We are very happy Ing Doi is in our neighborhood. read more

First of all, I'm not proclaiming myself as the foremost expert when it comes to Thai food. However, I lived there 8 years, meditating under waterfalls with Buddhist monks; seeking enlightenment and universal truth. One of the universal truth about Thai food is, there's no broccoli in Thailand. Given that, one can conclude that there shouldn't be broccoli in Thai food. Now I'm not deducting 3 stars just because they use broccoli instead of kai-lan (chinese broccoli). I'm deducting 1 star for not keeping it real, 1 star for taste. And another for the broccoli. Honestly, seeing others here giving this restaurant 4 and 5 stars boggles my mind. This is not the best Thai restaurant in the area. I would choose Jasmine, Siam Rice (1 or 2), and the new joint, Thai Chef (formerly A&B Chinese), over this place. read more

I have only done delivery from here but we have always enjoyed it. We have tried a variety of there food items and all are good. Our favorites are Thai fried rice, pineapple rice, wonton soup, sweet & sour chicken, and pad Thai. There is no charge for near by delivery and the guy that delivers is so very nice! A very pleasant surprise.... We are regulars at La Cocina but have never gone to this restaurant next door. We love Thai food but this place never looked busy so we assumed it wasn't good. Shame on us and thanks to the reviews on Yelp we gave it a shot. We ordered the orange chicken, pad thai noodles, chicken satay, and the golden bags. They were all outstanding. I'm not a chicken satay guy, but I devoured it. Nothing was over spicy. Very simple and fresh. My wife said the Thai iced tea was one of the best she has had. I just ordered from this place and it was terrible. I now remember why I haven't ordered from here in months... One star because the Thai iced tea was good and their delivery was fast. Potstickers: aka empty shells of sadness. They were chewy, had barely any filling and what filling there was just contained cabbage and rabbit food, no chicken in sight. Thai fried rice: Zero flavor. Like, none. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Pad Woonsen: I asked for no tomatoes, so instead of just not adding tomatoes, they substituted them with bell peppers and carrots. I asked for neither. And there were supposed to be black mushrooms in it that never made it to the dish. Flavor is good, on the noodles that actually had sauce on them... Half of them were just plain. Overall: Awful. Have ordered from here multiple times since I first discovered Ing Doi back in October. Coming from Mom can cook and Siam II (only for the crispy fried squid) as regular customers, I really like Ing Doi's food. Drunken Noodles extra spicy with chicken! Their crab wantons and egg rolls are quite good as well. Having traveled all over Thailand and tried many places in the SCV, I would say the top three true Thai places in the SCV are Ing Doi Thai Kitchen (wide style taken from both northern and southern Thai), Mom Can Cook (more healthy and southern), and Manee House (this place is best for seafood) not necessarily in any order. read more

I usually get delivery and the wait time is never too long and their delivery man is always so nice. But the food is really why I keep going back.
