The space is cute and very decorative. I will say the woman who took my order was not the friendliest- she made it feel like I was inconveniencing her by ordering. When I asked for a receipt, it was thrown at me. I got the spaghetti panang curry and a side of sticky rice. I opted for the spicy level (I wasn't sure if she wanted a number but I pointed to the pepper on the menu and spicy was the second to most spicy option), and while it had great flavor, it was not very spicy. Friday night drop by dinner on the way to LA, walked in around 8:30pm and there were still have 5 tables guest, and majority tables showed sign of previously occupied. Really Thai flavored decorations, and offered Thai atmosphere. It has indoor booth, table seating, also outdoor seatings. The food we ordered has descent Thai tastes, somehow they all a bit salty 。 the food portion is ok, not too much or too little. The orders were served really fast, perhaps lack of staff, lots of tables had dishes from previous customers. The waitress was frugal on her words. The bite of the ginger is present without being overpowering, and it pairs well with the fish. I appreciated that the portion of fish was large and that the meat was soft and tender. It's also such a cute little detail that this dish comes in a silver fish platter; that kind of thing really makes me smile! *Mixed Vegetables with Chicken: Like most of the entrées, this dish lets you pick your protein. First timer here. For starters the appetizer was my favorite out of everything else we ordered. The thai tea and the Vietnamese iced coffee were fine. Now on to the main dishes; the kapow tasted like every other traditional one's I've tasted before. Taste was great! But I honestly felt like they skimped me out on the amount of ground chicken. It was def more veggies than protein. So I wasn't that full by the end. The pad thai was cooked perfectly. As for service; there was only one lady working, she was kind. But there was a moment where she took too long to come back to our table to ensure that needed anything else. We asked for chili sauce and she never brought it. So my bf had to get up to ask for it. This was stopover restaurant, we had ordered one soup and fried rice. But we did not look into the ingredients and the soup had fish sauce. We realized only later, but they generously agreed to redo that. Kudos for that. But it is really understaffed and the servers are overwhelmed, that comes through in the service. It can be 5 star, if they have adequate staff. So all of us were little down, so we had ordered both Tom yum and Tom Kha soup. I would say this is one of the best soups we had in a thai place, freshly made, hot and soupy and right quantity. Most of the restaurants lacks these characteristics and makes less desirable. Ratio of vegetables or tofu with respect to liquid in soup was perfect. Thai basis fried rice was ok, missing basil , it was there just barely. Vegetables were also on the lower side it would have been ok if the lot of basil was there. Spice level also was low even though we specified it spicy. Also little short on seasoning, not a bad dish but also not ok. Panang curry was creamy and had everything needed and the peanut flavor cam through nicely. Ambiance was nice and cozy. My family and I used to love eating at this restaurant. That is, until last Friday. Our server was this Asian lady who was very rude and abrupt. My mom was trying to get her attention, to ask for another fork. (My son dropped his on the floor.) Said server put up her hand, as if to silence my mom, then proceeded to clean up the table next to us. She only asked what we needed AFTER tidying up the table. When my husband when to the register to ask for the check, the same server threw it to him, without a smile, without an acknowledgement. I went here last night with my family. The short haired lady asked how many of us. When we told her we'd be ten people, her face immediately became sour and seemed inconvenienced that she had to accommodate us. Then my sister who was holding her baby asked for a high chair, this lady straight up just pointed to the high chair. I'm sorry, you can't get it for her who is holding her child?! Those two things just gave me the sourest taste in my mouth. The lack of customer service is beyond appalling. So my husband and I went here last weekend for the first time because we love Thai food and are always looking for something new! The service was great to start, we were actually the first ones there lol but it was still great. Ambiance is nice they have a large screen TV playing with their home Islands I believe, lighting was nice with the Decor they have. Been to this restaurant three times now, and each time we've ordered different items - we haven't found a single thing we didn't like. Everything they serve is made with care, and the flavors have real depth. This is truly a 4.5-star experience. The only reason I'm docking half a star is due to service logistics. During lunch hours, I've noticed they often have just one server handling everything: taking orders, serving food, cleaning tables, and sometimes even helping with food prep - even when it's busy. While the food still arrives promptly, things like drink refills or getting condiments can take noticeably longer simply because the server is stretched thin. We've had to flag them down just to add to our order or ask for a drink refill that had been empty for a while. It's not a huge issue, but the learning opportunity for their overall improvement is in being more proactive and attentive to customer needs. That said, the restaurant is clean, spacious, and has plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Staff are friendly too! After the pad Thai here I think I'll be spoiled and have a certain expectation. I loved the fact that it was not overly sweet as it is at many Thai places. On our way back from la to sf , found this gem of a place right off an exit. The interior is cute and nicely done. The two of us were here for lunch on a Monday afternoon and got a table right away. As vegetarians we tried the following : Tom Yum Tofu Soup : 5/5. Can't recommend this enough , it was the right level of spicy and tartness. Spicy Thai Basil Fried Rice : 5/5. This had a nice Smokey flavor , with a good mix of veggies and tofu. Panang Curry : 4/5. This was really good as well. Could have been slightly thicker. There is both inside and outside seating, with the former arrangement having ample space for diners. I came here for a carry out of Basil Fried Rice with Shrimp. While I waited for my order to be prepared, many patrons were filing in. Clearly, many of them were regulars. My dish was unimpressive and lacked intense flavors, spices and taste.
