I went to get a massage on Saturday, after more than 10 years going to this place , couple of bad massages finally the last straw broke the camel's back, I made appointment for 60 minutes Thai massage, as always that I have been getting this massage for past 10 years, the lady started doing the massage and it was very low pressure, looked more like petting me, I asked her couple of time please put more pressure, I normally get Muslim to higher pressure for my Thai massage. She told me it's gonna cost you $20 more for more pressure, for Past 10 years NO-ONE ever told me it's cost more money to do more pressure. I asked her since when ? She didn't say anything, later I asked her for name and she told me why do you need my name, I said acetone I come in I ask for the name of the person attending me, she didn't say her name. At the end of the massage I came to pay and gave her my 10 times card stamp they do, and finally she had to put her name on the card , I think it's Kim. Probably the best massage I've ever had! The atmosphere was soooo relaxing. And the workers were all kind and friendly! My husband and I had a 90 couples message and our masseuses were Ida and Kim. It was AMAZING!!! I told her I had the most pain in my upper back and requested medium pressure. The pressure was PERFECT! The best massage EVER. I feel like most massages I get feel usually very painful and I find myself tense for most of the massage (I know I can always ask for less pressure so that's partially on me. And I also know my body is generally very tight and sensitive). This massage was the most perfect blend of relaxation and (good) pain. I loved the focus on my different pressure points. I found that I really melted into the massage more when I exhaled when she applied pressure. I could really feel the tension get released! I also enjoyed the last half hour where we did the stretching portion. It felt so nice to be stretched!! There was a small bit where they used hot stones. And keep in mind that wearing underwear during the massage is optional, but all your other clothes come off. After the massage, they offered us water/tea and pineapple. I felt soooo good afterwards! This is my first time going to Thai Body Works in Dana Point. Ida was my therapist and I'm so glad she had a same day opening! She listen to my concerns and checked with me throughout the massage to make sure the pressure was comfortable. I like deep tissue and her technique was perfect for me. She commented how my whole body was very tight and at the end I felt nice and loose... I like a massage that's going to help my body and not going to be just a "feel good" treatment. I recommend at least doing 90 minutes. Very professional and the office is beautiful. This was our first time visiting, and we had an incredibly disappointing experience with the manager at the front desk. We were given two gift cards for a 60-minute couple's massage and were excited to use them here. When booking the appointment over the phone, we clearly requested a 60-minute session, as indicated on our gift cards. Upon arriving, no one confirmed our appointment details, and we were simply led back to the massage room. It wasn't until after the massage was over that we were informed they had scheduled us for a 90-minute session without our consent. We explained that we had only booked 60 minutes, and the scheduling mistake was not ours, especially since no one confirmed the time at check-in. The manager was extremely rude, placing the blame on us for their error. Despite the mix-up, we were happy to tip the kind masseuses for the 90-minute session (since the mistake wasn't theirs), and we tipped 18% of the 90-minute cost, even though we had only agreed to a 60-minute massage. Shockingly, the manager proceeded to berate us for not tipping enough. We found this behavior extremely unprofessional, especially since we had been more than generous. It's thai massage (where they step on you) but they also used their hands, hot towels, hot stones, stretching, etc. Not only were the girls skilled, but they were also extremely kind, AND the rates are so reasonable ($85 for a 60 min deep Thai massage). I'm sorry to have to give this negative review. My husband and I used to love this location. We would come for massages almost every week and have bought multiple massage packages from them over the years. They had a major turnover of therapists however, the last two years and while they were okay we have not found any that were great. What really turned us off and prompted me to give a one star review was they refused to schedule appointments for us after we complained about one of the therapists not being very good (Andrea?). I don't know if it's mismanagement or intentional avoidance but they never pick up the phone when you call and never return calls back to schedule. We even drove over there to schedule appointments in person and after hearing our names suddenly told us there was nothing for the entire next week and we're unable to schedule appointments a week in advance, which makes no sense since we used to schedule weeks ahead all the time. I don't know if it was because we complained about one of their therapists (who might be their manager) and now they're refusing to schedule us or if they just don't know what they're doing there. We started to go to the Laguna Niguel location instead and they're great there. How can you possibly run a business if you don't answer the phone, return phone calls to make appointments or are willing to schedule people a week ahead? read more

Having never had a Thai massage I booked an appointment based on walking by this establishment. I was greeted upon entry by Ida, who was also my massage therapist. She has very strong feet and hangs from the bars above the massage service to deliver just the right pressure. The first sentence with the massage was delivered entirely by the feet. This is a fusion Thai and Swedish massage so you can enjoy some long strokes with deep pressure or light. However the Thai massage experience of manipulating limbs to achieve proper angle for massage is quite excellent. I don't know that I can ever go back to standard Swedish massage. What an experience! I left with jelly legs. Yes, you read that right! Jelly. For. Legs! First thing to know: If you are accustomed to receiving Swedish massages, do some reading before you arrive. The massage facility specializes in a combination of Thai and Swedish massage, though they do lean a bit more heavily toward Thai. Do know, however, that they also offer a strict Swedish massage. If you do not specify what you want, you'll likely get the fusion massage. New to a Thai massage? If you think you are going to be completely rested with a body soaked in buttery oil and with cherub flittering about playing harps and all that as you receive mild and long massage strokes, you have the wrong visit in mind. Some describe the Thai style of massage as yoga without having to do the work; people say it's like a massage therapist moving you in and out the actual of poses. That seems somewhat accurate. When you arrive, expect to be greeted with such lovely reverence. You will feel like you are a guest in someone's home. You will be offered hot tea, water a seat out front until the massage therapist is ready for you. Wow, this place is amazing! As soon as you walk in, it feels like you've walked into a spa in Thailand. The entire place is clean, beautifully decorated, and the colors are so vibrant, yet calming. There is free street parking, as well a parking lot in the back. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We walked in a little after they opened, requested a 90 min couples massage, and were taken right into our private room. The room was very dimly lit and you'll see that instead of a massage table, they use mats that are on the floor. Before you get started, don't forget to use the potty! You want to make sure you are as relaxed as possible and not worry about having to hold anything in or having to stop during your massage. In the private room, they asked what areas we wanted to have them focus on and the type of pressure we wanted. Then, they gave us a few minutes to undress. They have hangers on the wall to hang up your clothes. We undressed down to our underwear, but guess you can take it all off if you want. Just know that you may not always be covered as the towel might shift, especially during the stretches if they're i included in the type of massage you requested. Once undressed, we were asked to lay face down on the mat and to cover ourselves with the towel that was provided. The room and the mats were a nice, warm temperature and never felt cold while there. There are nice, soothing sounds and music playing softly in the background. If you don't specify what type of massage you want, they will automatically give you the fusion massage. During our 90 min fusion massage, they used a combination of techniques: pressure points, walking on us from our feet up to our back (they have rails on the ceiling to hold on to), deep tissue massage, hot stones, stretches. They used a good amount of oil throughout the massage, but have damp, warm towels to wipe you down with. At times it hurt a bit, but always felt so good! They definitely went to town, trying to remove all the kinks and knots and to release all of the built up tension in our muscles. They made sure to hit practically every inch of our bodies. For those of you with a sensitive face, don't worry, they don't massage your face. We had Ida and Preeya and they were wonderful. They made sure that we were comfortable and that their pressure was to our liking. They put in a lot of effort to ensure that our visit was as enjoyable, beneficial, and relaxing as possible. Definitely a unique, yet fantastic massage. Not comparable to any other massage we've ever had. Give this place a try! We'll be returning guests, for sure. If you plan on doing the same, don't leave there without a stamp card. You'll get a stamp for every hour of service you have and will eventually get a free one hour massage. read more
