Can't believe I haven't been here in years! I decided to call and ask if they had any availability in the evening (7pm) and voila, tonight must be my lucky night. The lady who picked up the phone was very nice and she was the one who massaged me for the next 90 min. It was heavenly, I felt so relaxed the whole session and didn't feel rushed at all. I love this place so much that I get the package deal so I can get the discounted rate to come back regularly for self care. The way how that works is you pay upfront for a certain number of massages and they give you physical cards that you can bring back to redeem. So you do have to make sure you hold on to the cards because they don't keep any records of it. If you lose the cards then you are out of luck. This is also the place I like to gift my girl friends massage when they need some self care! Every single one of them loved it. It's not for the faint of heart though. The massages here are deep pressure and feels so good! They have bars on the ceiling in the rooms so they are also able to step on your back. Not all Thai Body works have this by the way! They will check in with you during massage if the pressure is okay and ask permission if it's okay to step on your back. Towards the end they also bring hot stones to massage you. They will ask if you want tea or water and bring you pineapple slices to enjoy at the end. Love love love this place!! read more

This is my second BAD EXPERIENCE with Thai Body Works, first on was in Rancho Santa Margarita and the Thai lady didnt know how to do Thai massage only Swedish. This shop overcharging at 75.00/hr when LA is at 65.00 in Thai Town and much better. 3/15 The girl at the desk is arguing they dont have lotion for 75.00/hr they should have supplies, then she argued about not finding my last visit. This place was recommended by a person working in that strip mall, I will tell them the people are awful and dont have supplies so they dont send anyone else there. Thailand is a special place, the BBC people are kind and knowledgeable, this place IS NOT either. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. This place shoyld be very busy and happy with proper management, Thai Town in LA is very busy always, this place is mismanaged. I've been desperate for a massage. Like DESPERATE DESPERATE. I stumbled upon Thai Body Works in RSM and was pleasantly surprised. Pros: A big plus was that they were able to get me in last minute. I went in around 5pm, it wasn't busy. The decor is actually really cool and really set the tone for the service. The therapist was very nice and explained everything that was going to happen. The massage itself was relaxing. She had just the right amount of firmness to her rubbing. Cons: Given this was my first time, I didn't know that I was going to be laying on the floor. I did have to adjust myself a couple of time because I was a bit uncomfortable. I also felt like my face was pressed into the floor and it became hard to breathe a little bit. Also, the towels didn't seem like they were freshly washed and changed after every guest...mine was a little musty if I'm being honest. Overall my experience was on the more positive side. I will definitely return for more massages in the future. It's the perfect place to go if you what a peaceful massage for a good price, they also can get you in same day. read more

First time getting a Thai massage with my boyfriend and it was amazing! Deep tissue massages elsewhere were not cutting it for us and we were looking for someplace that offered a little more strength. We got a 90-minute service with June and Nan which definitely did the trick. They ask if you want medium or strong pressure. We both chose strong which can be a bit painful at times, but in a good way because they get all of the little knots out of your shoulders. During some point, you even get a little bit of a hot stone massage. At the very end, they will also stretch you out and crack your back and neck. Haven't walked out of a place feeling that relaxed and relieved in awhile. Highly recommend this place to anyone, but those with a low pain tolerance or doesn't want to be all stretched out in front of their significant other during a couples massage. read more

Called 1 day ahead to make an appointment for 60 minute massage for 2. We were made comfortable, given enough time to gather our clothes/belongings, asked if there were any areas we wanted to have focused on, and told we could let them know how the pressure is. The massage was great! One point that I really appreciated was their attention to modesty. The only parts of my body exposed were the ones being worked on at that time, and the rest was kept covered. When I turned over to flip onto my back, they held sheets up to cover as well. I felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back! I tried calling them twice but no one answered so I thought they were closed since it was on New Years Eve, but we drove there and found out they were opened so we made appt. this place is really small, only have 4 rooms, one of them is couple room. I have never tried a Thai massage before so I was excited to try this place out. Just moved to the area and am on the search for a place to get regular massages. We love to treat ourselves to massages at the end of the week, but this is unfortunately not the place. Came here based on the great reviews and really wanted to love it, but had a really negative experience. Came here with my mom for a 90 min Swedish massage - she asked her masseuse to focus on her lower back due to an injury. After about 60 mins of not going anywhere near her lower back, my mom asked her if she would please spend some time there, to which the masseuse answered angrily that she would. Ultimately, she spent less than 5 mins of the 90 mins on the focus area, which in itself is pretty disappointing. Being in the same room, I heard all the interactions and was extremely upset at the rude and short tone of the masseuse. Mom's first language isn't english and she is hard of hearing so sometimes it takes a repeat or two, and the masseuse had an extremely annoyed tone every time she said something. My masseuse was good, but I was so upset with the other masseuse in the room that I unfortunately could not enjoy my massage. Otherwise the front desk staff and the rooms are really nice. BEWARE! They will bully you and force you to give them more for tip. I gave them a 18% tip, and they complained wanting more, to my face! I'm sad to say that I had a horrible experience here. I've been coming here over the last eight years and have had great experiences. This last time I went for a massage and once I checked out. I gave the girl a $20 cash tip. She looks at me and says " that's all you're gonna give me?" Beware they will bully you into tipping them more that you do, very unprofessional and rude. I should've taken my tip back and give it to somebody who doesn't bully you into giving them a 40% tip. read more

3.5 stars! It was nice to be able to schedule same day appointments for a massage on a Thursday! Our usual place was booked so we decided to try Thai Body Works! The receptionist who answered the phone was very nice and accommodating since they weren't too busy. We called 2 hours ahead and it wasn't a problem at all! Thai Massage: expect pain and lots of stretching! My massage therapist was okay comparing her technique to our other Thai therapists elsewhere. There was no stepping on my back which I didn't mind! The stretching was amazing though! Don't be surprised to see the massage beds on the floor rather than elevated. I think that's pretty innovative! The room is nicely decorated and quiet. Overall it was a pleasant experience but for the same price ($65/hr) as most other Thai Massage places, I'd rather go back there. However, I appreciated the fact that we could come in on the same day for a massage! A plus for sure! read more

My 2nd experience was much better. So, I've changed my rating from 2** to 4****. Full body Thai & deep tissue & Swedish combo by Bella was delightful. Also, I believe it will have had some therapeutic good effects on my body. I particularly liked when she sat on my backside with her knees in my buttock. The Thai type stretching was great (especially since I've not done my yoga stretching in a few days). The Laguna Hills location was smaller and not as impressive visually but, still pretty (will add 4 pics). The tea cup ~ I want one! The pineapple again offered as a sweet finale . My rating may change when/if I give Thai Body Works a try for a Thai body massage. I went for an hour feet reflexology and; sadly their reflexology knowledge is little to none. My girlfriend's masseuse at least gave her a better foot rub ~ mine was lazy and weak. I felt that I had wasted my money. The ladies were nice but spoke very little English. The atmosphere almost makes you feel like you're in Thailand, beautiful. A nice touch of customer appreciation, they offered fresh pineapple & water or tea and did not rush us to pay and leave. For Father's Day, my wonderful and thoughtful wife sent me here. This place put me at ease as soon as I walked through the door. It had calming music playing, the light was dim, and the vibe was just so soothing. My masseuse, Lisa, was exceptionally good. I'm not going to lie, she took "deep tissue" to a whole new level. The pressure was hard, but it was good to get all the knots out. I had "Hurt So Good" playing in my mind. She was good about asking if the pressure was too much, too, so just tell her if you want a lighter massage. I, however, like the hard pressure because it works out all of my muscle soreness from the weightlifting I do.
