This was genuinely the worst massage business Ive ever been to. Ive been to this place TWICE and they disappointed both times. I got a 2 person Swedish massage with hot stones for my friend's birthday. Keep in mind that not a single person speaks english and they ALL have to use phone translators. My massage was extremely uncomfortable, the masseuse had horrible technique, she was digging her nails into my skin and not massaging my body correctly. She also had a bracelet on that scratched my back and it was so painful. It also caught onto my hair TWICE and instead of carefully taking my hair out, she RIPPED IT OFF. I was so upset I moved her hand both times and she was not remorseful. Then, her and the other masseuse were gossiping very loud for the last 20 minutes and they seemed very upset about something. It was very distracting and unprofessional. They were super loud and weren't attentive to our massage. It all very felt messy. I looked at my friend halfway through the massage and we both were so uncomfortable. To top it off, we never got hot stones. Then after the massage, I went to my masseuse at the desk and I kindly told her that her nails were painful and it didn't feel the best, and she got very defensive. Then I asked her "Were you and you colleague upset at something? You guys were talking the whole time and seemed upset" and she got VERY defensive and translated on the phone saying she didn't talk and her colleague was just explaining her situation. I didn't argue with her because of the strong language barrier. She was very defensive and didn't apologize or try to fix the situation. She had a strong attitude and it was so aggressive, I couldn't even explain myself because she couldn't understand me anyways. She extremely was rude and disrespectful!! And to top it off, when I left I said "Bye!" with a smile and she ignored us and gave us a very bad attitude with a face. She looked at her phone and went "Hmpf!" Ive been getting massages for 6 years and I have NEVER in my life been treated with so much aggression and attitude. It was disgusting and I'm embarrassed because I took my friend for her birthday. I genuinely think that lady doesn't deserve to work there anymore. The first time I came a month ago, she was the same masseuse for my friend and my friend had the same complaints, saying it was so uncomfortable and she did it wrong. I had a wonderful experience at this head spa! The store was supposed to close at 10pm but I called at 9:30pm and they let me book an appointment. My day had been full of activities, and I wanted to unwind. My friend had been suggesting I try a head spa, so I found this head spa in my area. It is such a clean establishment. I paid $80 for 60 minutes. I was thinking, gosh, I wish I had a face mask, that would be perfect if I could do a face mask and get my head massaged at the same time. WELL LO AND BEHOLD! My head spa lady, Summer, she asked if she could cleanse my face for me. So, she washed my face and put a nice soothing face mask on me. Exactly what I was hoping would happen! It was soooo nice to relax after a long hot day in the sun with a face mask. The whole experience was awesome! She put scalp oil in my scalp, washed my face, gave me a face mask, massaged my head, then washed my head, more massage. It's so nice. I highly recommend if you have not tried a head spa before. I think they do a nice job. Also the decorations are cute and you can tell they put a lot of love into the place. My room had a background of a Japanese window with Sakura blossoms blossoming. They also hung flowers on the ceiling so it looked like an extension of the Sakura blossoms on the wall. Fun to look at while you stare at the ceiling. Also, the massage bed MASSAGES YOU WHILE YOU GET A HEAD MASSAGE! It's honestly the perfect place to go after a long day. I'm happy to go home and hop into bed now lol I don't even have to wash my face since it's already cleaned for me. Also my hair is super soft. During my appointment, the therapist stepped away three separate times to assist potential clients, which repeatedly interrupted the session and made it difficult to relax. Because of these interruptions, my appointment lasted only about 45 minutes instead of the full 60 minutes I had scheduled. I understand that businesses can get busy, but clients should not lose treatment time because staff are attending to other customers. I did not receive the full service I paid for, and the experience felt rushed and unprofessional. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing scalp massage, this is NOT the place to go. My friend and I booked for a couples massage at 6pm. They started on me at 6:10 but my friend didn't get anything until 6:50, just lying there waiting. The entire process was painful and uncomfortable. Thankfully I'm not overly sensitive on my scalp, but it was still too much for me. The massage shocked me as well, very rough and even included light punching on my arms and back. After this I'm taken to get my hair blow dried and sprayed with tons of product. She barely brushed my hair and left it completely matted. These pictures are from when she was finished with the service. I had to ask to borrow a brush to get rid of all the knots they left while waiting an extra half hour for my friend's service to finish. As I was brushing my hair, the lady who did my massage was speaking to the woman at the front desk and they kept looking at me while talking. I was crying quietly while brushing my hair, so disappointed in how it turned out. They were laughing and talking while watching me. When I was about to leave, a woman asked to make sure I left a tip for the woman who did my massage. I felt like I had no choice and left her $5. This experience was painful, not relaxing at all, and left my hair extremely dry and matted. I have never left a bad review anywhere but I need others to know that this is NOT the place to go for a scalp massage. read more

I chose this spa because of the water halo. Instead the woman used the hand sprayer, spraying water on my face, getting in my ear and running down my neck.. This was nothing more than a long hair wash, only my stylist does it better. Not only was the wash not relaxing, it was a couple "scalp massage", and the ladies spoke in their native language the entire time. I would not spend $20 on this, let alone $80. I was then followed out to get a tip. The language barrier made it extremely difficult to discuss any concerns so we just tipped and left. read more

There's something off about this establishment. I went for a massage. I needed to use the restroom beforehand. Before I could go into the restroom, someone (I assumed a worker) cut in front of me to use it. She was in there for a long time, talking to either herself or someone on the phone. After about 12 minutes, the woman was still in the restroom. I couldn't shake the bad vibes I got, so I decided to leave and asked the front desk for a refund. They told me the lady who used the bathroom did not work there, but was a random person who followed me into the establishment. It took awhile for them to agree to refund me. I stood there while the workers were yelling at each other and at someone on the phone, presumably the owner. Over the course of 15 minutes, they kept asking me to stay, offering me a discount, and insisting the woman had left the bathroom and the establishment. However, I was standing in the hallway the whole time and know that she never left the bathroom or the establishment. I'm not sure what the deal is, but it just felt sketchy. If the lady in the restroom was someone random off the street who followed me in (and not a worker or another customer) as they suggested, even more reason to feel unsafe getting a massage there. Lastly, I see on my bank statement that I was charged for services never rendered, but the refund they said they granted has yet to be issued. I'm going to have to call my bank. I don't understand how this place has bad reviews! I came here tonight, they took me in walk in last minute appointment. I had a 1hr deep tissue massage with Ella and it was AMAZING! The amount of pressure and pressure points she was massaging was perfect never had to correct her once. I usually get Thai massages because even some deep massage places like these they can't really get it right. I'm so happy I found this place and ignored the bad reviews. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience. I booked a scalp treatment expecting a gentle, relaxing head spa, but the stylist was incredibly rough during the massage. When the service was over, my hair was left in huge, tangled knots, and I experienced an alarming amount of hair fall -- far more than I have ever seen before. What was supposed to be a treatment ended up damaging my hair and causing me a lot of stress. What made the situation worse is that I was not offered any kind of refund, compensation, or solution. I left feeling unheard and completely dissatisfied. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously so no one else has to go through what I did. read more

Great massage here. I have to admit it was a little chaotic, but it looks like they are continuing to renovate so things were a little messy/dusty. The massage itself was great and my masseuse was very kind and conscious of my pain tolerance as well as any aches that I had that he wanted to remedy. I bought this as a gift. My wife went there for a facial and relaxing head spa massage, but came home with a headache, irritated skin, and tangled hair. Instead of a gentle massage they gave her a rough, painful treatment. They used cheap products that caused an allergic reaction, scrubbed her scalp so hard that her hair turned into a huge knot, and washed it with extremely hot water. What bothered me the most is that when she complained, they didn't fix it - they repeated the same rough process again. After all, she had to stop the procedure herself. I went to the salon for a combo of a body massage and a hair massage. I left with a bunch of bug bites all over my stomach and legs. Coincidentally, I got a mild case of shingles as well. I would not recommend this place. The reason why I think that I got these bites there is because, I didn't have them prior to the massage and they use these robes that are hanging on the wall. Bought a Groupon. 60 minute foot reflexology. As I sat there I was like "maybe 60 min is too long for feet and legs??" Nope. No regrets. Used the restroom beforehand with no issues. Was offered other services. Full disclosure I had Botox the day before so face down was a no go. Next time I will. Starts with a foot soak and a massage to neck and shoulders. Switch over to their recliner. And the delightful foot and leg massage begins. No complaints . Will be back on the regular . Avoid this place!!! I went to this spa salon for a combined facial treatment and a relaxing head massage, which is very trendy now. Unfortunately, the entire experience was awful from the start. I was mixed up with another procedure, and instead of this massage, I got a rough, painful massage. My face and hair were damaged, and they used cheap, unprofessional products on my skin, which gave me an allergic reaction. My head was scrubbed so harshly, my hair tangled into a huge knot, and she washed my hair with extremely hot water, which is not professional at all, since hot water can damage hair. When I complained, they just repeated the whole process, even worse. This was not a massage; it was just rough scrubbing, like they were cleaning rusty dishes. At the end, I had to stop the entire procedure. They still applied a disgusting cream to my face that smelled like rotten eggs. The whole service was awful, and I would only recommend this place to someone you really hate, because it felt like the person despised me and wanted to harm me. When I asked to stop, they still continued, and I lost two hours of my life. My head still hurts, and I will definitely contact the barber board to check all their licenses and confirm if their esthetician was actually licensed to perform facials and massages. I've been going around checking out different massage businesses. You go to get a massage to relax. From the moment my massage began until almost the time it ended, it was very loud with people talking loud enough from multiple rooms that is was impossible to relax. I would have thought the masseuse would have gone out and asked them to be quiet, but they never did. I found the pressure to be too intense and when the head guard moved off my head, they never moved it back causing my head to feel crammed against the hard table. It was not the best experience and not relaxing at all. I won't be returning. read more

I live in Arizona and came out to Lake Forest to visit my daughter while she was having a very difficult life event. I thought it would be very relaxing to have a massage & facial with her. I chose Heaven Spa because of it's convenient location and because there were able to accommodate side by side massages & facials for the both of us. Before the massage began, I told the massage therapist to please focus on the right side of my back more than the rest of the areas because that is the worst part that needed to be worked out. I'm guessing due to a language barrier ... she didn't do that. She just did her own thing regardless. Then when she hit my glute mussles with her thumb, it caused extreme pain for me. I reacted and said "No, that hurts". She responded with an "OK". Then continued to hit that same spot at least 4 more times after that. I would rate the overall quality of this massage at 2.5 stars. Then the facial ..... you have to lie down on a shiatsu massage table for this. As soon as I was down, she turned the table on and caused excrutiating pain for me as my back CANNOT handle the hard balls of a shiatsu massage. I immediately said No, turn it off. It took 3 times for the massage rollers to roll up and back before she turned the table on. THEN half way through the facial, the table turned back on again. I would rate the overall quality of the facial at a 2 stars because the table pretty much un-did all the benefit of the massage. THEN ... this part is the best. As we were leaving, I gave one of the therapist a $20.00 tip to split between the 2 of them. In my eyes, $20 is a lot of money. I am not much of a tipper. This company charged a fee for there service, and we paid their fee. If they wanted more money... then they should have charged more. Anyway, when I gave the tip to the therapist, she acted very indignant and said "Oh ... Um ... OK" Perhaps this "small" tip offended her ... I really don't know ... but I just paid $20.00 more than the asking price for there services. I will definately not go back to this place. read more
