Too much oil, chicken is covered in batter, you couldn't even taste the chicken.. It's like a regular Chinese food.

If I could, it would be no stars, General Thai was all flour and dry. Pad Thai tasted old and oily. Never Again

Another time in West Island, another opportunity to try the local Pho. Yea I'm a pho madness…read more Again, I ordered my usual combination: Pho, imperial rolls and iced coffee. Imperial rolls: really fresh, hot and crispy. They've made a great job in marinating the filling, the minced porc and minced tarot. My only complaint... Why are they so cheap with the sauce... I can barely dip the tip of the rolls in it. Pho: soup is very tasty and it's super boiling when it arrives. Thumps up! However... The noodles is a but too soft (maybe over cooked) but it's very good overall. The iced coffee, you can't get any better when it's freshly brew at your table... I only wish they would bring it to me before my foods arrive and not after. Overall experience, it is yummy. I just find it a bit overpriced compares to others... Especially you would expect slightly lower price since it's in a little town, a little street mall...

The entrance to the home prepares you for the grand night. You walk through a lovely garden up to the front door. This was a full french dinner that lasted 4 hours. The restaurant brought small courses in between our ordered courses and the were separated by time giving you space to visit with your party and to digest. The small in-between courses included a small scoop of pallet cleansing sorbet, bread, and after desert they brought a second light desert of a choux pastry (cream puff without the cream filling). Food was absolutely exquisite. I started with seared Foie Gras which was prepared perfectly, super tender and rich. I understand the ethical concerns with Foie Gras, but it is hard to find in the US and I wanted to take opportunity to enjoy a little while abroad. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I was seated at a table next to the window where I could have a glimpse of the lake, a nice view. I ordered the special menu for the day as shown in the photo. There were bread and bite size of appetizer on the house. Then the appetizer for the day was rabbit to eat with crackers with sweet tasted onion and a tiny pickle on the side. This was an adventure for me since I had never eaten any rabbit before. Personally, The rabbit tasted like chicken to me. It was smooth and light to eat with crackers like this. Then came the main course, beef shoulder roast with Béarnaise sauce. The beef shoulder was tender and the sauce lightened up the taste of the meat. I also love the mashed sweet yams on the side and the potato was cut in very thin slices. I was so satisfied with the elegant presentation and the delicious taste of the main course. The dessert was a big piece of chocolate in pyramid shape. It went well with the berries and milk on the side. Yet it was a bit too sweet and too much for me to my personal taste after the main course. This was a very nice French cuisine.
