This was probably one of the best Thai food restaurants I've eaten at anywhere. The interior was lovely and well maintained with good staff. You can find parking at the QPark structures--there's no street parking. The restaurant was a little full, but not crowded so we got seated right away for a group of 4. Food was superb. They definitely do not mild down the spices--unless maybe they knew we could handle it ahah. Most Thai places level of spice tend to appeal to more..sensitive palettes if you catch my drift. This restaurant did not hold back with their spice, which I didn't mind. The flavor of the food was well balanced. I ordered the tom yum soup with chicken to start off, great tangy, sweet-ish and spicy flavor. Chicken was a little dry but I don't really mind it. I also ordered their lemongrass seasoned beef with rice which came with an over easy egg. Flavor was savory, well seasoned, spicy--balanced out well with the runny egg and rice. My table also ordered fried rice and a curry dish--everything was delicious and memorable. We may have over ordered because we had to do takeaway for the rest. The portion was pretty fair. The next day when I ate my leftovers of the lemongrass beef with the rice--it still was so tasty. 10/10 recommend this place! We didn't get to try their cocktails but they do have an open bar with some unique looking drinks! read more

Right by the Spanish Arch, this place is gorgeous with a warm interior and plenty of seating. It's lively with conversation, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. One thing I loved was that you started with prawn crackers, which I've never seen at any Thai restaurant before. Other than that, the food was quite mediocre. I ordered a bowl of tom kha with a side of rice. The tom kha was not spicy, even though I ordered it at medium, nor was it sour, which is a main component of it. So, it ended up being more of a bowl of warm coconut milk with some chicken and vegetables. read more

We visited the Thai Garden because we were tired of the same old things we saw on Irish Pub and Restaurant menus. It was a very good decision. Felt like some good Thai food and had researched some places ahead of my trip, and Thai garden was on my list! Ordered the red curry and a side of white rice. I finished the entire thing! It was really delicious. I won't dock points for this as it doesn't take away from the quality of the food but while I was there, there was a weird banging noise coming from next door or above. It was consistent and loud and the table next to me was also getting annoyed by it. Not sure they were informed what that was but I wasn't so it was just a bit odd. Outstanding food! Accommodated a group of seven with allergies. Everyone was thoroughly pleased at quality and price

It's an excellent Thai restaurant, even without lowering the bar for Asian food considering it's West Ireland. This is really really good Thai food, coming from a Thai-American who has grown up eating Thai. Serving sizes are plenty and prices are reasonable considering that. Dishes are around 13-17 Euros. This is a white cloth table kind of place, but people were wearing jeans and such. Everything we ordered was tasty! Pad See Ew With Beef - stir fried noodles with soy sauce and beef. See Ew means Soy Sauce in Thai. The seasoning of this dish was spot on - most places make it too sweet. I normally don't enjoy this dish because it's basic, but I really liked this rendition. Massaman Curry with Chicken - This is a "Muslim" style Thai curry which comes with peanuts. It's sweeter and a good curry for people who haven't eaten many Thai curries. The sauce was rich from coconut milk, but the flavor from the curry paste was there. Again, a perfectly seasoned dish. Pad Ka Prao Pork - A classic Thai stir fry of pork with chilies, basil and fish sauce. I ordered this Thai spicy and IT WAS! There were three types of chilies in this dish and it was even making me sweat. My guess is that the owners are from Southern Thailand so they're not kidding around here. It was a good portion size and went heavenly on top of fresh steamed jasmine rice. Definitely one of the better Thai meals I've had outside of Thailand and the spiciest meal I've had in Ireland. It hasn't passed 24 hours since I've eaten there and I'm still dreaming about that Pad KaPrao... Service was gracious and quick. They checked in on us to make sure everything was good. If I find myself in Galway again, I'd definitely come back. read more

This place gets two stars because the food was good. However, the service was absolutely horrendous. We were forgotten about multiple times. Other tables were able to sit down, get food, and leave before us even though they arrived after us. It seemed that we were supposed to be served by a new person but they dropped the ball. Eventually someone more experienced realized and expedited all our food, but we were there for 2 hours. We wanted to just leave at multiple points, but couldn't even find someone to pay for the items we'd already received. It was such a disaster. read more

I read some reviews about the authenticity of this place so was disappointed when I got my pad kee mao. Disclaimer -- I'm a little spoiled in terms of good Thai food being from Southern California with a Thai Town nearby... so I will say that this place is decent for being in Ireland. My noodles were more al dente than soft and chewy, and they used the pad thai noodles for my dish rather than the thicker flat noodles typically used for the pad kee mao. In terms of flavor, my dish was definitely missing something. The basil and spice was strong, overwhelming the oyster sauce a bit. My boyfriend's pad thai was much better in terms of noodle texture and flavor -- he cleaned his plate! Be wary travelers ... they short-changed us!!! read more

They charge an extra €2.50 for rice if you want it. I think that's crazy. Some dishes just need rice but whatever. Rice is cheap af and I think it's absurd. The prices are high enough it should be included. Allow me to step off my rice box for a sec... The food is pretty tasty and of course loads of vegan options as dictated by the cuisine in general. Excellent Thai food in Galway! The food: The Beef Pad Thai was perfect. I ordered the "medium" spiciness, and it was spot-on. Just enough spice to notice a bite, but not sulphur and brimstone. The atmosphere: The restaurant beautifully and authentically decorated, with a quiet, intimate atmosphere devoid of overpowering lights or modern music. The staff: The wait staff is attentive and polite, and the price/value ratio was perfect. The verdict: Delicious food! Not cheap, but not too pricey either. I will definitely return. read more

My girlfriends and I went here for dinner when we were in Galway and it was the bet Thai food we all had ever had. We got the Phuket meal for three and we weren't disappointed with any of the dishes. Seriously busy eating out week and this restaurant certainly did not disappoint! I am the queen of spice girl and i love coming to this restaurant to get a fix every so often! Like all restaurants the competition is fierce for business and as usual they are offering an early bird menu which consistes of 3 courses plus tea or coffee for €17.95. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were waited on hand and foot and i really felt that the staff could not have been more helpful, we were given a lovely little table in a corner away from the hussle and bussle and beside a lovely warm radiator (where i could have happily fallen asleep after all i ate) For starter i had a lovely tom yum ga soup which is basically a hot and spicy if not a bit watery tomato based soup with lots of herbs spices mushrooms and chicken, you get to chose "the hotness" of all your dishes in here and naturally i opted for HOT! The soup was fantastic tho my lips were certainly tingling after i had finished it! Main course i had another Hot and spicy garlic beef dish with bolied rice which was absolutly fantasic! What makes this place great is that they refuse to use an MSG products in their food so everything is natural flavours and you really can tell! Dessert was a thai banana fritter with vanilla ice cream which was lovely but unfortunately i was way too full to fit it in! Great rapport with the staff with our waiter constantly checking to make sure my food was not too spicy! (as if that ever could happen!) My favourite part though was when i asked for the bill and i was given chocolate instead and my friend was handed the bill! A definate laugh out loud moment! I cannot wait to return here! read more

We just returned from the Thai Garden Restaurant and all five of us (two adults three kids) cannot stop raving about how great the food was! We weren't sure how good a Thai restaurant would be, here on the west coast of Ireland, but we were not disappointed!
