Very impressed with the food here. We had been having Irish food all week so we wanted to do something different and this didn't disappoint! We got a couple apps and a main dish to split and everything was super affordable and tasted delicious. Very pretty place as well. Service was quick and friendly. If I lived here I would eat here a lot!

Place is beautiful inside. Food was ok not like the Thai food in ny. The Thai waitress was so rude. No clue why Asked her for soy sauce and she slammed it on the table. Either way is a cute mix up for food in Ireland

Right by the Spanish arch the exterior is all stones and ancient but inside it's modern and comfortable. Service was efficient the food came out quickly and was very good. Great place for Thai in Galway

Felt like some good Thai food and had researched some places ahead of my trip, and Thai garden was on my list! Ordered the red curry and a side of white rice. I finished the entire thing! It was really delicious. I won't dock points for this as it doesn't take away from the quality of the food but while I was there, there was a weird banging noise coming from next door or above. It was consistent and loud and the table next to me was also getting annoyed by it. Not sure they were informed what that was but I wasn't so it was just a bit odd. But again, it's the food that's the most important! I'd like to come by again before I leave!

If you are looking to experience amazing Thai Cuisine in the City of Galway, Ireland. I highly recommend Thai Garden.Upon entering I was made feel very welcome. All the appetizers and Entree tasted amazing! Thai Garden is a must visit if you love Thai Cuisine. The restaurant is very clean and has very clean rest rooms. The staff are all very professional and genuinely care about their customers. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States for over thirty years and served with the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great Thai Restaurant from all my travels and life experiences. You definitely won't be disappointed. I definitely will return in the near future. Thai Garden rates five stars and more!

It's an excellent Thai restaurant, even without lowering the bar for Asian food considering it's West Ireland. This is really really good Thai food, coming from a Thai-American who has grown up eating Thai. Serving sizes are plenty and prices are reasonable considering that. Dishes are around 13-17 Euros. This is a white cloth table kind of place, but people were wearing jeans and such. Everything we ordered was tasty! Pad See Ew With Beef - stir fried noodles with soy sauce and beef. See Ew means Soy Sauce in Thai. The seasoning of this dish was spot on - most places make it too sweet. I normally don't enjoy this dish because it's basic, but I really liked this rendition. Massaman Curry with Chicken - This is a "Muslim" style Thai curry which comes with peanuts. It's sweeter and a good curry for people who haven't eaten many Thai curries. The sauce was rich from coconut milk, but the flavor from the curry paste was there. Again, a perfectly seasoned dish. Pad Ka Prao Pork - A classic Thai stir fry of pork with chilies, basil and fish sauce. I ordered this Thai spicy and IT WAS! There were three types of chilies in this dish and it was even making me sweat. My guess is that the owners are from Southern Thailand so they're not kidding around here. It was a good portion size and went heavenly on top of fresh steamed jasmine rice. Definitely one of the better Thai meals I've had outside of Thailand and the spiciest meal I've had in Ireland. It hasn't passed 24 hours since I've eaten there and I'm still dreaming about that Pad KaPrao... Service was gracious and quick. They checked in on us to make sure everything was good. If I find myself in Galway again, I'd definitely come back.

They charge an extra €2.50 for rice if you want it. I think that's crazy. Some dishes just need rice but whatever. Rice is cheap af and I think it's absurd. The prices are high enough it should be included. Allow me to step off my rice box for a sec... The food is pretty tasty and of course loads of vegan options as dictated by the cuisine in general. Give it a try once if you're craving Thai.

Good place to mix it up from the typical Irish cuisine. Tom Yam was really good with Prawns.

It ended up being surprisingly excellent, though! We shared a Vietnamese Roll appetizer. Mom doesn't like peanuts, and they nicely made one without. They weren't rolled very tightly, but they (and the sauce) were good. Mom ordered the Chicken Fried Rice and raved how big and tender the chicken was, and how the rice wasn't old. She did wish there was egg in the dish. I had the Crispy Roast Duck, which was the absolute best duck dish I've ever had! It had a great sweet + savory flavor, the skin was crispy, the meat was tender, and it was boneless! The rice was fine, though less sticky than I'm used to. Delicious food paired with cute decór and late hours make Jalan Jalan a total Galway gem!

My wife and colleague (Vietnamese from LA) sat at the bar since the place was full.  Be sure to make reservations, especially on a Saturday night.  The vegan friendly menu, deliciously crafted cocktails, and exquisitely prepared Asian fare with strong emphasis on fresh and local ingredients make this the perfect restaurant.  Dishes are cooked as traditionally as possible while everything from the cocktails to the appetizers have their roots based in Asian techniques and flavors.  Lime has the swank of New York City, the unassuming attitude of London, Asian diversity found in San Francisco, taste you'd expect of a restaurant in Singapore; perhaps most importantly....the affable Galway charisma.  Pearse will wow you with his masterful bartender swagger as he mixes top notch cocktails and Conner the maitre d' (man of the house, manager) will charm you with his hospitable, classy demeanor.  They make the atmosphere very fun and inviting in the front of the house meantime the Malaysian chef and Thai sous chef work their magic behind the scenes.  You're reminded often that you and your sense are their priority. To our surprise, despite the name, this was a full-fledged restaurant and bar. So, we found another tea house to spend the early afternoon, and returned that evening for dinner. Upon return, inside we were greater to a very ornate Asian aesthetic inside. Not only did they have a decent selection of Asian teas, but also a rather expansive dinner menu. We were each given a small jasmine tea to start, which was cold brewed (rare to see!) and quite flavorful. I ordered Shredded Duck Noodles for the entree which were delightful. The noodles themselves were very well flavored and chewy. On top of this, there was a surprising amount of duck throughout the dish. Typically you see the protein being skimped on, but not the case here. The asian veggies mixed throughout were a welcome addition as well Overall, it was a great vibe, great selection, and great food. If you enjoy Asian cuisines, you wouldn't be going wrong here.

I ordered black bean beef with tumeric rice. It was a generous portion, with a good amount of very tender beef. I had asked for the peppers that normally comes with the stir fry veggies to be replaced with asian vegetables, and I think I got a few scraps of bok choy and Napa cabbage in the mix. Most of the veggies ended up being scallions and onions. I also ordered one of the Pu-erh teas, as this is supposed to be a strong tea and can steep for a long time in very hot water without turning sour or bitter. While the tea was stronger than most of the teas I've had during my vacation in Ireland, it was still quite a lot weaker than expected. We asked for more leaves to be added to the pot but either they didn't actually add any, or didn't add enough to make a difference in the flavor. Overall a decent restaurant, would recommend to anyone looking for Asian cuisine.
