Ambiance: the layout is a lot of open space with nothing to absorb sound so my friend and I had a very hard time conversing over our lunch. If I could give less than one star, I would. I had family from out of town and we tried this place because they wanted Thai. This is in the former Senior Sam's and every version of restaurant since. I prefer Tarn Tip but they were closed the day my family were in town. The ambiance of the place is sparse. A few tables, a wide open area, and the cashier station. We ordered drinks and appetizers and dinner. Drink order: 2 Cosmos, 2 beers, 1 Thai tea, 1 hot herbal tea. Appetizer: double order of the appetizer platter (chicken satay, wontons, spring rolls, potstickers) and one order of tom kah soup. What arrived 25 minutes later: 2 cosmos and one order of chicken satay. When I asked about the rest of our drink orders and appetizers, the waiter said they were coming, then disappeared and never came back to our table. Dinner order was 2 orders of Thai basil with chicken, 1 pineapple fried rice, 2 Pad Thai noodle, and 1 salmon green curry. We waited for another 45 minutes for our dinner. I finally went up to the person working the register and asked how much longer our dinner order would be. He said that he didn't have a dinner order for our table. Fine. I paid for the 2 cosmos and satay, and asked the other cocktails be removed from our bill. The print out showed 5 cocktails, the appetizers we ordered but didn't receive and the dinner order they apparently didn't have. I mean, how bold! I refuse to pay anything other than the 2 cocktails and the 1 appetizer order and put the cash on the counter and we walked out. No tip, obviously. We went to Sky High and were treated like family. Never going back to this place. It was awful and doesn't deserve a second chance. read more

The service was very slow, rude, inattentive, and deceptive (for example, saying "your food is coming out now" or "I'm going back to get your food now" when that was clearly not the case). 4 of us eating at an earlier time (5:30 pm). The first person's food came out quite a bit later and then each person's meal also came out separately about 10 minutes apart. The last person's meal came 80 minutes after we were seated. Despite notifying our waitperson that that person had to leave, no speed up of service. Multiple times promises were made about the food about to come out, or "I'll be right back (with a service request)" but there was NO follow up. So disappointing. The crab Rangoons were some of the best I've had but the chicken pad Thai and sweet and sour chicken were not as flavorful as I was hoping. Service was nice and quick on a Thursday at dinner time. Just got takeout from this new place and I have to say it's the best Thai food I've had in Corvallis! We got the drunken noodles and Massamun curry, which were both delicious. Our takeout order included fresh rolls with shrimp (often called salad rolls) which were amazing! They were generously sized, freshly made, and included a crunchy layer of mixed greens, rather than just a token bit of pale iceberg lettuce. They are the best in town, and will definitely be ordered again. That said, the sauces for the rolls were a little meh, both of them being thicker and sweeter than expected. The food was excellent but the service was so bad it eclipsed the great tastes. The young person who was responsible for our table was rude to the point that it felt intentional and discriminatory. She could have done little else to botch the order, delay the service, ignore our table, slam food down and glower at us. Went here for dinner last year with some friends cause we were excited to try out a new restaurant, and it was a total flop. First, we had to wait a little over half an hour to be seated. It then took like another half hour for a server to take our orders. Two of them wanted unsweetened Thai tea but were told that they couldn't, even though it's listed on the menu. Our food arrived at different times, and mine took over an hour to arrive. By then, I was starving and ready to eat, but a few bites into my drunken noodles, I had to stop cause it was way too spicy. The menu made it seem like it wasn't that spicy. One of them was told an hour after ordering that their crab and shrimp fried rice wouldn't come with crab cause they ran out and another had to ask for the rice that should've come with their food. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the service. The food was fantastic! The timing, not so much. One member of our party received their appetizer and entre before others received their appetizers. My entre came after one person had finished her dinner and probably 10 minutes after everyone else had been served. The waiter said it was no problem to split us into groups when taking our order but when the check came, it was all together. I was here for an hour and fifteen minutes with a friend for her birthday. We ordered an appetizer within ten minutes of sitting down that was served forty minutes later. We ordered dinner ten minutes after that. We never got our dinner and had to leave. The appetizer was delicious, so the food is probably good. They were still seating everyone who came in even though people were waiting so long for their food and we saw another table leave before they got theirs. The worst part was that we kept asking if our food would come soon, and they kept saying that yes, it was on its way.
