Part of their business model (she told me) is that her husband chose to set the menu items' prices high, but serve very large portions. For most people, this means that each combo plate is enough food for 2 meals. However, I doubt that most people are content to pay $20 - $24 for a plate of Mexican food. I don't think their business model is sustainable. Given the robustly sized portions, it would be a good value (I believe) if only their food tasted good. Unfortunately, everything that I've eaten there is tasted so-so to mediocre. I was very disappointed with the preparation and taste of their chili rellenos. Even their crispy tacos were unremarkable. There's always the usual heaping portion of refried beans and ubiquitous mountain of reddish rice, both fulfilling their role in making the plated food appear voluminous; designed to impress. But the food is bland, uncreative, and primarily comprised of low cost components (such as large quantities of iceberg lettuce, beans and rice). The food quality is not much better than that of most of the other local Mexican restaurants. I also tasted several of the menu items that my family ordered, and was disappointed with every one of the dishes. I won't be purchasing their food again, but I sincerely wish the owners blessings and good luck.
