Great place for a massage. Very clean and the masseuse did a great job releasing tension. Prices are fair for a massage. They're not the cheapest but they're also on the lower end. No appointment is needed as I tried calling numerous times and no answer. I needed up just walking in and they took me right away. I went here on a whim after being in the neighborhood and having some extra time on my hands,. I will say that it has a random location in a strip mall that looks a little seedy, but once you go inside and your masseuse's hands are on you, you are transported to another world. I have had many massages over the years at high-end spas to local massage place chains, and even in foreign countries, and I will say that this massage was among the best I've had. My masseuse, whose name I don't remember did things to me I had never experienced before, like massaging under my armpit. Who knew that was a thing? And who knew that I needed that so badly. But I did and I walked out of that place like 1 million bucks and like I had a new body. I don't live on that side of town, but I'd be tempted to cross the 405 and make the treck across town to go to this place again. It's that good. I just got a massage here today and it was so amazing! One of the best massages i've had actually, and i've had a lot of them. So the place is upstairs in a tiny shopping center, the parking seems a bit crazy. So if you are driving, be prepared. Anyways the place is nice and clean but its not luxurious. But thats totally ok because the prices and service are awesome! I didnt get her name but my masseuse was the pretty, young girl who also checked me in. She was young but so good! Her fingers knew exactly where to go. I have been in extreme pain because i have been running a couple miles everyday for the past week ( i stopped working out for a bit) so my muscles are crazy sore, and she completely took the pain out in the 60 min! They were open on a sunday and i forgot my card, but they accepted venmo! So this place is very convenient as well. The other thing i like about it is they have curtains separating the massage areas. It is a hidden gems!! My friend recommended this place. When I got there, it was a little scary because of the shopping center itself. Parking is kinda overwhelming. You need to let the security know that you are going to the massage place. I almost turned around, but I decided to give it a try. It is a small shop located on the second floor. When I got to the shop, there is only two people working there and no customer yet. The shop is small; however, very clean and welcome. I forgot my masseuse's name. She is an older small lady with surprising strong hands!! It was one of the BEST massage I have got outside of Thailand! Also the price is reasonable. Same price range as other places in the area. I like the fact that they open late. It's a shady looking establishment, but what they lack in ambiance, they make up for in service and skill. The people there are so, so sweet. I got the deep tissue massage and my friend got the... Thai massage? Shiatsu massage? The one where they pull your arms back and do a wrestling move on you (albeit gently, I think)? And climb on your back with their knees? (Ok, my friend is 6'2" and 200+ lbs. I'm sure they don't do it to everyone.) Anyhow, he liked his massage a lot, and mine was okay - deep tissue was DEEEEP tissue, and while I don't like soft/weak massages, Tony has strong hands. It could also be that I was all knotted up, though. We left feeling very-well worked on and definitely got our money's worth. I remember it being less than $50 for an hour and a half or something. This is a place for Thai massage. You spend $45 for an hour. It's a standard Thai massage place - you are in a curtained space that is in one large room. They put you on beds, which I prefer as the floor can be uncomfortable. The gentleman who massaged me was perfect - not too hard, not too soft, just right. The winning ticket here is the Thai/Swedish combo with Nancy-- I sort of have a woman crush on her. While it appears rather sketchy and is right next door to a weed store on the second floor of a dirty Hollywood mini strip mall, the massage itself is actually amazing. Considering you're only shelling out $45 for an hour, you probably understand that you're going to have to sacrifice some things that a nice spa would provide, for example a robe, candles, paying with a credit card, or a private room. The rooms have curtains between them which works just fine and actually bodes well for the couples massage-- pull the curtain back and BAM: instant love suite. You must be patient while making an appointment because English is not their first language, but doesn't that sort of make the Thai massage experience more authentic? I tend to think so. All things considered, if you can survive the crappy exterior, the questionable boxers they give you to wear and the language barrier, you are good to go. Also-- they roll straight gangster style: CASH ONLY! This place is GREAT if you just want a great massage from nice people for a good price. Have been going to Thai Orchid for years. The location in the may seem a little sketchy. But once you enter, you are warmly greeted and escorted to your massage area/table. This is a no frills place. It is basically one large space that is divided with curtains. It's surprising how private each area is. The water fountain and music playing add a nice ambiance. I went here the other day. I used my credit card to pay and I put the tip on there before I got the massage. It said $60 for an hour massage with hot stones. The first five minutes she spent putting a towel on me that was warm but made me cold. My massage was mediocre at best and only half the time it was like that. The other half sucked. The massage should've been $20 if you ask me. When it was time to turn over she spent another 10 min scratching my head. I told her that I didn't like that and I would just like the massage. She didn't listen to me and kept doing that. I even started tapping my finger because I was so annoyed hoping that she would notice but she didn't care. Then when she was massaging my feet she told me a few things about the pressure points which was cool but I wasn't there for an anatomy lesson, I was there for a massage. Then when the massage was over she had the nerve to tell me to tip more!! She's lucky she got what she got cause I wasn't satisfied at all!!! And btw I never even got the hot stones!! Wow, I can't believe how disparate my experience was from the first reviewer's! The SO and I were in need of a massage on Saturday and the winning bids came down to Thai Orchid or Pho Siam. Unfortunately, Thai Orchid won-out. I should have followed my instincts about this place after it took me a good 10 minutes to make an appointment with the woman on the phone. At one point I handed my bf the phone out of frustration because she could not seem to transcribe the digits of my phone number as I repeated it back to her a good five times. When we arrived we were asked to pay first (which I always think is odd for a service) and then we were led to two "rooms" separated by curtains. I needed to use the restroom before lying down for my massage, but when I went back to it, my masseuse was sitting on the pot with the lights off and the door cracked open; needless to say, I was startled to find someone in there. She and I apologized profusely to each other while I waited outside for her to finish up. I do not believe she washed her hands as I did not hear the water run and she came out so quickly after our mishap. Let's proceed to the massage. It began with a rub down with a hot towel - sounds nice, but I don't like the fact that she started with my feet and then used the same towel to do my arms and shoulders- use a new one for each area or work from the top down. She then asked me if I had any tension and I replied that my lower back had been bothering me - so if she could gently work on it, that would be great. Other than that first question, that was the only time she checked in on me. The rest of the time I was in a lot of pain - and not the 'this hurts but feels good at the same time' kind of pain. She began by pressing down on points parallel to my spine and then using all her body force to roll out away from it - her pressure was so intense I was holding my breath to breathe through it and I was scared she was going to crack a rib - I told her to please be more gentle. Well, this must have not registered with her, or it really pissed her off because she did not let up. Actually, she let up when the phone rang and she took it out of her smock to answer it! In a nutshell, things that normally feel really good during a massage were quite painful here. For example, when they pull your fingers and toes away from you and sometimes a crack happens - well, when this lady did it, she squeezed my fingers and toes so hard and pulled them towards her so furiously it made me yelp out in pain. The assisted stretching poses she had me do were too vigorous and I imagine could be really damaging to someone who is not properly warmed up or naturally limber. I doubt whether these people are professionally trained and I would not recommend this place to anyone. My knees are hurting today and I don't think that should ever happen from a massage - Thai, Swedish, or whatever style. Stick to Pho Siam. read more

Located in a shabby little corner strip mall on Hollywood Blvd, this was the most unexpected treasure I have found during my recent trip. By far the best massage I have ever had, at an outrageously great price! Message: This place offers a few different massage options, so me and my hubby each did the 60 minute combination message, which mixed the traditional Swedish massage and Thai massage. A Swedish message is more like the typical rub-down you think of when you get a massage. The Thai message is the more hands on (and feet on) message that is more involved with twisting, stretching and some pounding / punching. The two types together was heaven. When you first get on the massage table and strip down, the masseuse asks you how hard you would like your massage. Being of more petite framed person (I'm 5'5" at 115lbs) I find that most massage places are too weak/light on me in fear that they might hurt me. I asked if they can do between a medium and hard pressure on me, and boy did they deliver! I felt all sorts of good pain while the masseuse rubbed out my knots, walked all over my back and legs, and did wrestling moves on me. I never realized how flexible I was and how good a strong message could feel. I didn't even have to tell the masseuse where my "trouble spots" were. During my massage she felt that I had a lot of knots on my shoulders and upper back, and she made extra effort to work them out. Price: The price is amazing! A 60 minute combo message costs just $45 ($90 for the two of us.) The quality of the is way better than what you pay for, so we ended up tipping am extra $20/each, and even the $130 that we spent for the two of us felt like a great deal! Atmosphere: This is one of those places where do definitely do not want to judge a book by its cover. From the outside, this massage parlor is located on the second floor in a shady little corner strip mall. There were a few "less than reputable" people hanging out in the area, but once you get inside it is a whole different world. The shop itself is pretty small, with a really tiny entrance area where you take off your shoes and pay at the counter. The shop left clean and the massage tables are comfortable. Each message booth is separated by heavy curtains. Me and my hubby had conjoining rooms so the masseuses moved the separating curtain so that we could combine the space into one larger room. The temperature in the rooms were perfect, especially since you figure you would be laying there almost naked during your message, and there was a slight floral scents to the air which was nice and relaxing. During the massage, you strip down to your underwear and they drape clothes over you. We were not told to wear "questionable" boxers (like some of the other reviewers complained about) and the masseuse made effort to make sure you were comfortable at all times. Staff / Service: The service was great. We called about 2 hours ahead of time to make an appointment they were able to accommodate us with no problems. Once at the shop, the two masseuses greeted us with smiles and were very friendly and welcoming. Before the massage began, they gave us plenty of time to get undressed and to get comfortable on the tables. During the message they would ask us from time to time if we felt ok. At the end of our hour long massage (which they actually ran a few minutes longer) they gave us plenty of time to get dressed and did not rush us at all. Overall, I really enjoyed every aspect of my visit here and am looking forward to getting another Thai massage soon. Super Pat is one of the best massage therapists I've ever been to. She has strong hands and gives an excellent sports/deep tissue massage starting at $45 an hour. While they are located in a sort of grungy street mall, her place is clean and quiet and her staff is excellent. If you can't find a spot in the lot, there's plenty of parking on Hollywood Blvd. And, walk-ins are welcome. read more

My husband and I went to Thai Orchid Massage today for a walk in massage. I'd only been one time before and had a great masseuse. Today I was lucky enough to get Tiff. She goes above and beyond to give a great massage. She used hot stones from Hawaii. My back was in pain and first she put tiger balm on my back. She stones felt wonderful and were so relaxing. I really liked them. She even put some special pain patches on my back towards the end. She massaged my face, neck and head and I think she was even using some sort of orange essential oil.
