RUN! From the moment I entered to when I left, the whole experience was uncomfortable, aggressive, and dirty. First, the lady pretended she only took cash, when I told her that was a deal breaker, look at that! The card machine works again...but it's a $4 charge to use card. Crazy high, and probably another lie, but okay, then she tells me I have to tip in advance. Normally, I never do this, but again, okay whatever. Next, she tries to force me to tip 50% and sneak that into the bill. I catch it before she scans my card. What comes next is arguing then begging, so I end up tipping 30% just to get my card back, which she was essentially holding hostage through these antics. Then comes the massage. Horrible, painful, and whip fast hands that scoured more bone than muscle. I tried to stop it and leave 5 minutes in, that's how bad it was. But she begged to give her another chance. Honestly, I felt bad. She was elderly, seemed to be trying her best, and really seemed desperate for the money, so I said okay and tried to tell her to slow her hands down, but she didn't really understand. So, for the next 45 minutes (because yes I paid for an hour but was actually thankful it lasted only 50 minutes) came the kind of general petting you would give a dog. I paid $80 to feel wildly uncomfortably from entry to exit. Trying to think of it like I donated money to this poor lady who clearly should not be working such a physically taxing job anymore, but still...$80!? read more

Tried something new and trusted the other review. I really wanted this to be a good experience but it wasn't , here's why. PROS: -Cheap Early Bird Price of $35 -Friendly staff -Plenty of Parking CONS: -Kinda Dirty -Paid for 1 Hour Massage, received less than 50 minutes -Mauser did not seem knowledgeable and she hurt me a couple times -Therapist talked too much -Another Thai woman in the other room farting and coughing -Mauser was a bit too heavy to be walking on my back -Filthy Bathroom -Too much oil and tiger balm administered and not properly taken off at the end of the massage, which makes you feel oily All in all, I would never go back to this place, and don't really recommend it unless you are a glutton for punishment. There are a ton of better places in the area. I made the dreaded mistake of trusting Yelp and Woody S's horrible recommendation. The bonus is that there is a small private lot! Free parking.. yay! This is a small location at the very back of the plaza so you will need to walk allll the way to the end. The women are very helpful and kind there. Before your massage, they ask if you want Thai or Swedish. I opt for the Thai since it is a Thai massage place. In retrospect, it just felt like a regular spa massage. It's not the traditional massage where they pull and twist you. I've been to Thailand before to have a Thai massage, and this was not even close to it. Regardless, it felt nice. And at least it wasn't crappy! :) You are taken to a dark room and asked to remove your clothes. You can keep your undies on and then you slide into the massaging bed. The masseuse works on the back first and then flips you over. There was one point where the masseuse wiped me down with a hot towel (she used oil on me) and didn't dry me afterwards so I was cold and shaking. She then asked why I was shaking. -__- read more

If I can give zero stars, I would! Do not come here. I came here because my usual place was totally booked and I was desperate for some relief. At first, everything looked promising: the receptionist was nice, the room was clean, the bathroom was clean. All seemed well. I asked for a one hour massage for $40. The young man who was working the front counter was having technical difficulties with his credit card processing system, so he told me I could pay after the massage. Okay, fine. I am directed to a room located right next to the receptionist, and get on the bed. After undressing, a woman comes in to begin the massage. From the very beginning, I start feeling disappointed. She was just pushing oil around on my back. No pressure, no technique, nothing. It's as if she's never massaged anyone before. I asked her for firmer pressure. She said okay, but didn't increase pressure. She literally just pushed oil around on my back aimlessly. About 15 minutes into this "massage," she starts asking me whether I got the $40 service or the $45 service. I told her I requested the $40 service. Then she tells me that she is actually providing me the $45 service which includes oil, the $40 does not. What?? At this point I was thoroughly annoyed and I told her to stop the massage. The receptionist heard that we were talking and came to the door to ask whether I needed help. I asked him to clarify with the massage therapist that I got the $40 service, not $45 service. They converse in a different language, and then he apologized to me saying that "she was confused." Well, I was thoroughly annoyed and frustrated at this point and I told him I just want to stop the massage. I had approximately a 15 minute "massage" followed by around 5 minutes of back and forth with the receptionist and the massage therapist. I thought there was no way I could achieve the relaxation I wanted at this point. I told him I would pay for 30 minutes of service, and that I just want to go. He told me that I was not allowed to pay for just 30 minutes of service because he just had to turn away another customer because I had asked for a 60 minute service. To be honest, I didn't hear another customer come in, and while it could have happened, I think it's unlikely given how thin the walls are and how close my room was to the front. Knowing that I am about to pay $40 whether I wanted to continue the massage or not, I acquiesced and told the receptionist that I would like to continue the massage then. BUT THEN the massage therapist refused to continue! After a lengthy and angry sounding exchange between the therapist and the front desk receptionist, the receptionist asks me if it's alright that HE continues the massage for me. WOW. I was so floored by this. Of course not! That makes no sense whatsoever, when they were the one telling me that they couldn't allow me to just pay for a 30 min service! How absurd and unprofessional! Never before have I ever encountered this kind of bewildering type of conduct and service. I told the front desk receptionist such and he acknowledged my frustration and FINALLY told me that I could pay for a 30 min service and leave. I get dressed and I give the receptionist $20 in cash. I thought that as reasonable for a less than 30 minute "massage." BUT THEN. The receptionist accepted my cash and told me I still owe $10 because a 30 minute massage is usually $30! It was as if the injustice and awful service just couldn't end. I gave him another $10 and marched out of there. I spent $30 for nothing but anger and frustration. I went back to my usual place and the owner there heard my story and managed to fit me in. I ended up spending another $50 for a one hour massage to undo the awful frustration and anger that I experienced at Orchid Thai Massage. But at least my second time around was a proper massage. Never in my Iife have I encountered such awful, horrible business practices. I wholeheartedly support small businesses, as an owner of one myself. But this business deserves to close. read more

I am quite experienced with body work and Thai Massage, and this place is legit. Traditional Thai Massage involves deep pressure and stretching, and is so relaxing and rejuvenating. There's some assisted yoga involved as well. Some of the poses like the twists feel great and are really good for detoxification. I've been here a few times now, and I can feel my therapist moving deeper into my muscles with each session. Since this is their first review on Yelp, I want to be as detailed as possible. They are located in a little lot with plenty of parking. You have to walk to the back past a dentist's office, foot massage place, and hair salon, which makes it literally feel like a hole-in-the-wall--or rather a "diamond in the rough!" The reception area is spacious and clean with some sensible decor, and the staff is always very friendly. The actual rooms are separated by curtains and dimly-lit, but not too dark to the point of being creepy. I prefer to lie on a mat, but I've seen rooms with tables as well. They offer both Traditional Thai and Swedish/Thai combination massage (MY FAVORITE), which involves some kind of herbal massage oil. They also offer a deep tissue massage but I feel like that might be too strong for me. I usually like going in the evening after a long day of sitting in front of the computer, which really loosens up my tired back and legs. An hour is $40, but sometimes I'll go for the early bird special for $35 before 3pm. Cash only, but there's an ATM next door. read more

The massage was OK. Fair priced. I was a walk-in. I found it more relaxing than previously reviewed. The ambiance music is on a loop and I did find annoying. My masseuse said less than 5 words and was not some one I'd want walking on my back. I'd go back if I was I the area, but won't make it a routine stop. read more

Despite it's location and the stiff competition (who knew so many Thai massage businesses could be in one part of southern California), this is a gem of a place. I was in LA visiting friends and went here on a friend's recommendation. It's quaint and not fancy (the neighborhood is meh) but a really solid massage at a good price. Woody worked on me (requested male therapist because I like a stronger massage) and I would recommend him highly. I'll be back every time I'm in LA! read more
