    Fried rice with chicken

We really liked the interior with all the greenery. It was a very pleasant place to spend time in. We also enjoyed the fried rice. Please note that it's not listed on the main menu, but it can be ordered from the kids' menu. The portions are quite large as well. We also liked the grilled chicken and shrimp. The service was polite and attentive.

Thai pop is always a hit!! Love this place so much I shared the pepper shrimp and the tofu coconut I could just drink that broth it's so flavorful and the green sauce that comes with the shrimp is so delicious. Server was super friendly and upbeat! And I love all the plants In the restaurant

I need to research everything about this recipe. Our server was a delight, and had many stories to share about the Tom Yum soup! We were delightfully full from ambiance, food, and stories. This is one of my favorites and must visits for Rochester! The tom yum soup has a delightful limey zing, leading to a party in your mouththe flavor is insane, it's inspiring me to try and cook it--which is my assessment for a successful meal! It I want to cook it after the dish, it's an amazing bite. Thank you thaipop for the amazing consistent good food and service. This is also located in the hub of Rochester nightlife, be sure to check it out:)

We found Thai Pop just down the street from our hotel on a nice convenient spot. As soon as we walked in, the vibe was perfect. A nice chill spot, that smelled amazing even from the front door. The server got us situated and welcomed us for our first visit. She explained the menu, and gave us a few minutes to decide. I read that they had won awards for their mocktails, so I ordered one. It was rich and creamy, the perfect balance to the dishes. The fire cracker calamari had a nice kick to it, but the sauce was the real star of the show. We found ourselves going back for more of that. The pork belly and rice was yummy too. Tenderly cooked, and all together a very balanced plate.

This is easily one of the best dining experiences in Rochester. The interior is so fun! It is tropical, vibrant, and full of personality. The whole place feels lively and thoughtfully designed and it has a great central location that makes it easy to get to. On a seasonal note, I loved that they went all out with Christmas decor. My server was super friendly and took the time to walk through some highlights on the menu, which was really helpful. You could tell they were proud of what they serve. The standout dish for me was the Pad Phrik Gang Gai. It was SO good. The spice level was bold and flavorful with the perfect kick. It might be a little too spicy for some people, but if you like heat, this dish absolutely delivers. Every bite was packed with flavor. Between the incredible atmosphere, great service, and standout food, Thai Pop is a five star experience. I will absolutely be back!

Literally sat at a table during lunch for 15 minutes and they had 5 people on the floor just talking to each other and looking at me and no one asked if I needed anything, no acknowledgment, no taking order. Inside was nice

This place needs reservation, some good vegeteranean options. We enjoyed the vibe, drinks and food there. Staff is also very friendly & responsive.

Been coming to Rochester for 30 years and my only regret is not finding this place sooner. Drinks creative and delicious. Wings out of this world. The pork belly appetizer with spicy cilantro sauce was to die for. The Duck Duck curry! So amazing! I didn't have room for dessert and wish I did. The ambiance was such a vibe! I could have stayed for hours. And the best part? The service. The Chicago area does not even have one Thai place that even remotely comes close to this one. I can't wait to go back next year and eat here again.

We were visiting from out of town and we came here twice during our visit. This is some of the most incredible Thai food that I have ever had. We took recommendations from our waiters both times and everything we had was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back when we are in town to have lunch and dinner again.

What I can say about Thai Pop. This place is poppin. The food is amazing. The restaurant is very laid back and chill. The deco made me feel relaxed while I ate. I sat at the bar and the bartender recommended me some great options. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. The Thai beef noodle soup was and the sticky wings were to die for. They also had an extensive mocktail menu. The loon tang was a delicious mix strawberry and pineapple, very refreshing. I will definitely be back when I'm in town again. Parking is a bit limited but definitely worth the journey from wherever you park at.

Annie the owner helped my Dad and i try two new things off the menu. We have been coming to Thia Pop for many years and have tried so many delicious dishes. Once again the food and service were outstanding!! Love this place. Always busy and fun. Never had a bad dish.

Such cute interior decor and vibes!! Our waitress was so kind and didn't rush us at all when we were sitting chatting after paying. The Thai food was subpar but drinks were good! I've been spoiled by authentic Thai food in the past and unfortunately wasn't too impressed with the food here. I will definitely be back for the fun vibes, and there's a speakeasy downstairs! 3/5 food - ok food, great drinks! 5/5 service 5/5 vibes

Absolutely love the ambiance here! As soon as you walk in, it's to your left and greeted nicely by the host. We had a reservation but it wasn't too busy and was able to select a spot we wanted. Our server was warm and welcoming, and informed us of their specials - the drinks were tasty (mine had some spice ) There was a mix up on one of our order but was handled professionally and fast which was much appreciated. The food was delicious as reviewed by many others here. I'm a huge fan of spicy food and loved that they were willing to give a side of their chili peppers to add as you please with my pad see ew! The pork belly and rice was moist and soft to chew. The chicken had two sauces to dip that elevated the flavor and the cucumber salad was a refreshing app to share with our group. Overall we had great portion amounts per order! Would recommend coming here for the food, ambiance and drinks!

It was easy to get a reservation and on the day, we were greeted and seated promptly! The service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. For starters, we had the lobster bisque and steak tartare. I will admit I was a little apprehensive when ordering the bisque but I'm glad I did! It did everything I needed it to. It was perfectly creamy and tasty, as well as comforting! The tartare was pretty good but we weren't fans of the EXTREMELY crisp "bread" pairing. The main dish was the Seafood Perlou which was almost perfect (the mussels felt off). The cocktails were quite good as well! There were some curious pairings and mixtures on there but they worked very well! Overall, this was a good experience. It seems like a good place for a first date, or a business dinner, or even a more casual outing with friends! It was good without trying too hard, if that makes sense.

We found the five course tasting menu to be interesting, but neither my wife nor I found the food to be delicious or memorable. Quality ingredients were top notch and the preparation and plating excellent, but we just didn't care for the flavors or combinations that came out. We expect when we get a tasting menu to have a few dishes that might miss the mark for us -- that's sort of the point. You're exploring the chef's ideas and dishes. It's strange when none of the dishes really hit with our palates and we travel all over the world in search of amazing food and dining experiences. To make matters somewhat worse, we did the wine pairing and oftentimes with the courses we found the wine did not pair incredibly well with the plates. Further, when the wine was served we never saw a bottle once and were never told about the winery, the vintage, etc. -- only the type of wine it was and what flavors we could expect. We've never had that before with a wine pairing. We encourage the chef to continue to explore his palate, creativity, and imagination and we look forward to the possibility of coming back again some time in the future to see how this chef and menu may have evolved.

Highly recommend the confit potatoes which are cooked in marrow fat with this really nice cheese cream sauce. Overall I think the highlight of most of their dishes including the Manti Dumplings and Bone Marrow risotto are their sauces which are well rendered, have a nice citrus tang to them (could be strong for some) or bone marrow rendered fat flavor. Service was great at the bar with our server giving us recommendations on how best to have our dishes. Food came out decently quick with the app first then mains. Was very pricey though worth it if you're looking for a nice treat with friends, partners, or family! :) Ambiance was chill and nice overall. They have nice decor and vibes and I'm glad they recovered after the recent accident a year ago!

My wife had the risotto with braised beef cheek (so tender!), roasted oyster mushrooms, veal demi-glace, and parmesan. Unctuous and umami. I had the Bucatini -- blue crab with anchovy butter and red pepper pesto. Just wanted a bit more sauce. The salmon was cooked well with a crispy skin underneath. Flavors played together nicely with the textures. We enjoyed the dessert as the textures (there's a theme here) had great interplay with the flavors in the dish. Only wish that pastry was hot. The ambience is nice and chill. It can feel a bit cramped but gives kinda a speakeasy vibe meets hipster. Note that finding parking is a bit challenging here. There are two booths on the window that would make excellent date spots. The reason for the rating is due to the service. I made a reservation for the spot and made reference to it being our anniversary. However, nothing was done to reference the reason for the dinner. I had never been there and didn't know about the booth availability. The place was busy but we didn't get much attention (menus were left on the table, didn't get small plates to eat the Drummies properly, got one refill of water toward the end, etc). I felt bad about this rating because I've read people enjoying the experience. However, this is what I experienced. The food is great. Service could be better.
