My food came out so quick I was shocked! I basically ordered, sipped my water and boom! There was food. First time checking it out, I'd definitely go back. Food came out hot and tasty. Waitress was very nice. She knew the menu very well. Did I mention she was fast? Lunch specials are a steal for the cost too! Inside looks pretty traditional for an Asian restaurant. Nothing glamorous but the food is great!

The food is consistently good. It's always fresh and hot. You can choose your level of heat in each dish. The veggie rolls with the lunch special are delicious. Each menu options can be made with tofu (not the soggy kind! It's cooked so well), chicken, shrimp or beef. Their curry is gluten free. The lunch special is $11 and there are curry or stir fry options. The service is friendly.

My sister has been in town & we both love Thai food so we tried Thai Rod Dee in Layton. It's been on my want to try list of a while now! We ordered the eggs rolls for an appetizer. I really liked these. They were cooked to perfection & the sauce was really good to dip them in as well. For my meal, I ordered the Pad Thai with mild/no spice with tofu. The tofu had really good flavor & was cooked to perfection. There was plenty of tofu in this dish as well. My sister ordered the Drunken Noodles with a side of rice, medium heat. She said she was glad she didn't do hot heat on this because the medium heat level had a really good amount & hot would have likely been too hot for her. I tried a few of her veggies in her dish & they were pretty spicy! Portions were generous & we both took home take home containers with most of our food. I felt like there was only one employee working the night we went & she seemed a little overwhelmed but she did a great job at keeping up with everyone the best she could. I would go here again!

My favorite Thai dish is phad see ew and this place does it well. I do prefer a wider noodle, but the flavors were all there. I ordered it 2 star and it had some heat to it but it was very good. My parents had sweet and sour and phad thai and they both liked theirs very much. The dinner portions are large and could feed 2 if you like to share. The prices have gone up so I'm posting photos of current menu prices.

Great little hole in the wall spot for good Thai food in Layton. Don't let the exterior scare you away from the good food inside. Our go to items are the pad Thai, massaman curry, panang curry, pineapple fried rice, orange chicken, egg rolls, and wontons. All very good. And it looks like they finally filled some of the monster potholes in the parking lot. It was more hole that lot.

The service was great. My colleague and I showed up around 1 pm on a Wednesday to find only one other couple eating lunch. It is set up like a take out restaurant even though they have plenty of tables and seating. I ordered the Pad Kee Moo with Chicken off the $10.99 lunch menu. It was supposed to come with Jasmine Rice and an Eggroll. It came with a scoop of white rice and a Spring Roll. The food was excellent. Very fresh vegetables with a nice medium spice sauce. I don't think I was changed the lunch price, but I didn't catch it until after I'd left. Still is was a very good lunch.

Love this place for some great flavorful Thai food. They have a good amount of seating and are usually pretty quick with the food. The Thai tea is delicious. Prices are between $12-20 for an entree but I always walk out with a large amount of leftovers.

Nice Thai place for many years near the Best Western Plus by the mall. Tables for any size party. I…read moredined alone, and there are two-top tables, but I was seated in a separate dining room as the lone diner at a table for six. It was nice to be in that room. There were several other diners but it was peaceful. I ordered panang curry pork. Before it arrived, I was given a side salad that I wasn't expecting, which made for a good start. I asked about their spice levels, which go 1-5. They said if I had had Thai hot things, 5 would be fine. And it was just fine! Great flavor, good rice and a portion that you could share. I got some massaman curry chicken to take for the folks back home, at a medium spice. This is a family favorite and this was a good rendition. We would opt for a higher spice level next time, that's just how we roll. Service was attentive but not overbearing. My water glass never ran dry :-) A nice setting and we will be back.

99 Thai Fusion is a place that I just want to love, so much so that I've been there twice. Sadly,…read moreit really isn't hitting the authentic Thai mark (especially in regards to spice). First time, I ordered their Ginger Stir-Fry entree with beef. You can choose fried rice for an extra $1 over the steamed Thai Jasmine. So that is what I did. The spice levels go from 1 to 5. I chose 5 and instead of cooking the Stir-Fry in spice, they gave me a small condiment cup with chopped peppers. There was spice in the condiment cup; but definitely not a level 5 and certainly not enough for the whole entree. Very disappointing there. The Stir-Fry itself was completely bland, pretty greasy, and slimy throughout. Definitely too much vegetable oil was used in the cooking process. The beef was quite a bit undercooked (almost raw). Sadly the whole entree itself was a disaster... but, the fried rice definitely (somewhat) made up for it. It had a slight garlic taste to it along with some miniscule egg fragments. Either way, I decided I would give this place another shot on a different day. So for my next visit, I decided to go with their lunch combo/special so I could try out a few other things minus a large bill if it didn't work out. It includes your choice of entree from their lunch combo menu (along with meat preference), plus salad/one egg roll/steamed Thai Jasmine Rice/choice of soup (either hot & sour or coconut). I went with the Black Pepper Garlic Stir-Fry with beef and their coconut soup. Once again, I requested level 5. Instead of the chopped chili's, this time I just received a small condiment cup of chili flakes. The Stir-Fry was completely bland and once again greasy/slimy, and also a very small portion size compared to other Thai restaurants that offer lunch specials. The egg roll came with sweet chili sauce and was pretty good. The rice was okay. The coconut soup is what blew my mind! OMG, what a delicious surprise! UGH, I want it right now just thinking about it. It was by far quite possibly, the best tasting soup that I have ever had. The flavor had a bit of sweetness but not too much. It also contained cabbage and tiny chopped pieces of chicken. The liquid itself was just fine on it's own, and TBH I didn't even notice it had other ingredients until I started scooping instead of slurping (lol). Surprisingly the complimentary salad was also a nice surprise. Very basic looking, but it was extremely fresh (definitely had been washed but wasn't drenched or dried up), extremely crisp, and also flavorful with the included Ginger dressing. So as you can see, I'm on the fence about this place. Restaurant was clean and employees were very friendly during both of my visits. Only wish they would actually honor level 5 (Thai Spicy) and maybe cook the beef just a little bit longer and lay off of the cooking oil. But that coconut soup is definetly calling my name for another day.....

I've been going to these guys since I came back from Texas. Food is 8/10 easily. The egg in the rice bowl with the corn. Not too much sauce, not bare rice just right! The shoyu and tonkotsu ramen are top-notch, and the marinated eggs are delightful. I also look forward to trying the sushi burritos, which looked amazing. The shop itself is cute, cozy, and clean, with accessible parking and entry. However, the service made us feel deeply unwelcome. The friend I took to lunch has an intellectual disability, and her ultimate passions are anime and ramen. Once a month, I take her out for a special meal, and Ramen House was her choice again this month. Our previous visit was fantastic, so I was excited to go back. From the moment we arrived, the server who greeted us seemed annoyed by our presence and seated us in the farthest corner. When taking drink orders, she grew impatient with my friend, repeating the question multiple times rather than giving her space to respond, and when she did respond, the server pointed to the menu, repeating something different than what she asked for, and then ignored the girls response when she repeated her preferred order. When I tried to step in and clarify, the server ignored me and turned back to my friend. The pressure left my friend flustered and confused, and she ultimately just agreed to whatever the server suggested instead of getting what she actually wanted. My friend was talking animatedly throughout lunch. Because she rarely opens up or talks in public, seeing her so expressive was a huge win for me--it meant she felt safe and happy. Yet, the staff seemed visibly bothered. While I understand restaurant environments require balance, her talking wasn't any louder than a table of business professionals having a lively lunch. It simply felt unwelcoming and entirely lacking in basic inclusivity. Throughout the meal, basic service interactions were curt. The server avoided eye contact, displayed impatient body language when I asked for a to-go container, and dropped off the bill unceremoniously with no thank you or polite closing. There was also a long delay before she retrieved the payment--leaving me wondering if I should have walked it to the register myself. It was a stark contrast to the warm experience we had on our first visit. I am sharing this because this is my friend's absolute favorite spot, and since she only gets this outing once a month, I know she will want to return. She deserves to enjoy her favorite meal without us feeling like a burden to the staff. It was truly a heartbreaking experience to witness, and I sincerely hope the management uses this feedback to foster a more patient, welcoming environment for all guests.
