Actually found this restaurant on Yelp and so here we came. Large yet comfy atmosphere with tv's from the kitchen showing meal and drink prep and a space with hand made crocheted key chains/ bag charms, jewelry, etc..so so cute! (yeah, bought 2 key chains!!) They have an extensive menu of drinks/ teas and boba too, a myriad of choices and toppings. Food offerings also large!! Hard to choose. Excellent food, excellent drinks, friendly and hospitable. Thank you Brian, his wife Pui who made our delicious meal, and owner DK who was able to make me a jasmine milk tea ( ok, actually two because it was so good!!) We ordered takoyaki ( octopus) and an order of salad roll for our apps-yummy and fresh! We got two orders of pad kee mao with chicken which was delicious with lots of vegetables and spice level to our request ( we ordered one and it was so good we got another; leftovers !!!) Well, there were good and bad parts about our meal. The Yellow Curry and Pad Thai were very good. The Teriyaki and Thai Fried Rice were OK. The crispy chicken was awful and rubbery. We also ordered gluten-free Pad Thai; it was lacking a lot of flavor. The service, though, was excellent! They were very friendly and accommodating and are super nice people. I really wanted to give the restaurant more than three stars just for that, but people go to restaurants mainly for food. I would say to those who are familiar with Thai food and who eat gluten-free, that this is not the place for you. We eat a lot of Thai, and most menus are almost entirely gluten-free, but this place only had a small selection of gluten-free items. Surprisingly, none of the curries were gluten-free. And sadly, it didn't taste very good. The restaurant was moderately sized with an adequate amount of seating and definitely very casual. Not great. Just ok. My fried rice was ok, but sadly my cousin's chicken was rubbery. My mom's gluten free pad Thai wasn't great either. The teriyaki chicken is fine. The service was excellent though. I have been to many coffee shops and Thai Tea house has by far the best iced coffee I have ever tried. The coffee is bold, smooth (not bitter) and they add the perfect amount of sweetened condensed milk, it is sweet but still retains a very strong flavor. As soon as I walked into the front door I was greeted with a smile and was given a menu with all the information and she took her time to explain it to me. The staff was very sweet and caring. Very efficient register ordering and nice takeout help yourself table with plates, utensils, to go condiments, etc. Tried both the Pineapple Red Curry and Panang Curry. Both were tasty. Lots of veggies in both. They let you order on the spice scale 1-4. I had the 3 on mine and didn't think it was very spicy. I was happy to have some crushed red pepper to add more pop. It's taken me way too long to try Thai Tea House but I finally got there and loved it!! The service was excellent as you were greeted first thing and instructed on how to order. The food was sooo good. I wanted to try tofu so I got the fried tofu appetizer and the massaman curry with chicken for my meal. I also tried the passion fruit soda, which I really liked. I found out I do enjoy tofu so I might try the curry next time with tofu instead of chicken because I loved the curry and figured I might as well combine the two. This was also waaaay too much food for one person but I love trying new things at new to me places. The massaman curry has peanuts in it, which I also loved. I didn't get any heat on mine because I'm a wimp but it definitely had great flavor. My family will definitely be going back. read more

I am so excited that a brand new Thai place is in Florence. I was running errands and decided to go for lunch and I am so glad I did. The menu is filled with many options and for vegans as well. I've been here twice. The food is okay - it's cheaper than the other thai places in town, which is why I tried it - but the portions aren't as big and it's just okay. The bubble tea, though, is fantastic. I had never had bubble tea before, and I would be back to just have that! I would substitute that for a Starbucks stop - it was that good! It's kind of self service there right now - you order, and then you go to pick up your food when it's ready. They must do a lot of takeout. Not bad, but better Thai options in Florence. Service was excellent so this isn't a reflection on the people working the counter, however, the food was atrocious. I've had Thai food in many different states, and I'm not sure that this could qualify as legitimate Thai cuisine. First our meals coming in plastic Togo containers even though we were dining in should have been the first sign. I wasn't expecting table service since we order at the counter, however, everything in a Togo container seems a bit cheesy. The food itself was flavorless, and tasted like a frozen meal, reheated. The rice appeared as frozen rice, reheated. The only thing decent were the crab won tons, which weren't actually in won ton wrappers, they were in spring roll wrappers so they kept falling apart in your hands as you would try to eat them. I ordered the pad kee mao which was the closest option they had to pad see ew, and the chicken breast was so tough I could barely chew it. It had to be drenched in soy sauce and sriracha just to have any flavor. My boyfriend ordered the cashew chicken entree, his chicken equally as tough, and again lacking all flavor. They seem to really focus on boba, which is great if that is your thing, but maybe consider renaming the restaurant to reflect that. My boyfriend and I were looking for actual thai food, not a boba shop cosplaying as a Thai restaurant with minimal food options that weren't even done right. read more

I was visiting the area from California and wanted to see if there was a place that sold boba tea. I looked up some places on Yelp and found this one. It had good reviews so I drove there. It is kind of like a mom and pop restaurant with tea services. I ordered a Jasmine milk tea but they didn't have that on their menu so they asked those that made the teas if that was possible. The lady said yes and they made me one. I was impressed with the results. The tea was tasty and the boba was really good. Popped into Thai Tea House on a recent visit to Cincinnati after arriving on a flight. Very conveniently located near the CVG airport. The restaurant is very nicely set up. It has a bar as well as table seating and a counter for to-go orders. We were seated promptly and brought menus. They have a nice selection of everything from fried rices to noodles to curries. I selected a Pineapple Curry dish, which was excellent. It could have been a bit spicier, but that's just me. Service was great. Never had an empty glass and everything came out promptly. Just wanted to try actual original boba instead of only the popping ones that other coffee shops exclusively have and Thai Tea House did not disappoint! Had the assam milk tea with original boba. I am Thai and I already known the original taste of Thai food and drink then I ordered smoothy Nom Chompoo that only Thai people know what is that and I love it !!! They kill this one. Food is always so good here!! The pork are soft but juicy. Cooked very well with great flavors. The first time we dined in we had a few appetizers and the same Pork and rice dish. Most authentic Thai noodle soups I've had outside of Thailand. I had the egg noodles in the Tom yum style broth with sliced pork and wontons. Perfect. They have a few Thai beers to choose from and obviously a great selection of teas and drinks. read more
