I booked only the day before, online. I am brand new to the city and was nervous to try a new salon with my specific coloring. Sam H was great! She may seem relatively young, but she knows what she is doing! The salon is clean, comfortable, well organized, sells nice products and has loads of parking! My color turned out amazingly and that is after she had to translate my formula from another brand. Amazing. She listened, she was gentle, and everyone else was also very calm and quite. Very nice and friendly. However, there was absolutely no precision in a "haircut". No blending or edging to make clean. Im not even sure you could say clippers were correctly used. Im mortified at what was considered a haircut. As far as color. Came in for platinum touch up. Lightening was going good. Was a tad brassy, so stylist used a purple hair mask to try to tone. (This sometimes works to get the gold OUT). Unfortunately, the new growth was still a tad gold. Stylist put a toner on. The whole head, instead of the touch up roots to get the gold out. Mind you, I came in with total platinum blond hair. The toner screwed up the entire color. Came in for platinum. Left with a darker old lady pinkish blonde. I gave it a week before posting this review to give it a fair chance for the toner to relax. It Did Not. Pricing was ridiculously expensive for a touch up. They have a level system for stylist and pricing. That needs rethought. I do not Recommend this place. read more

I stumbled in here last month when I was nine months pregnant wanting a quick facial. I was immediately impressed by the friendliness as I walked through the front door and all of the great lines of hair care that they carry! I wasn't really sure how quiet and relaxing this facial would be since they do hair in the same area and blow dryers are constantly going. They have a darling relaxing oasis hidden in this place that not once did I hear a blow dryer or a girl during my facial. The facial itself was super relaxing and I felt so good afterwards. I chose to also include derma planning which I didn't see much difference there my regular girl gets way more off I thought. I definitely want to return here and try their massages! I called at least 10 other as it had to be done on this day. These lovely women did an AMAZING job on mine and my sisters hair for my wedding. Not only that but I just happened to mention how I didn't have time anymore to get my toenails done that day because I was running behind and they offered to paint my toenails WHILE I was getting my hair done. Hands down the sweetest staff in the whole world and I HIGHLY recommend them!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! A couple of months ago my twin sisters came here to get Brazilian blowouts. The total came up to $1500 and I do not know how this is even possible. In San Francisco they could have gone into a HIGH END, REAL SALON with SKILLED stylists and the total not be more than $650-$700 MAX FOR TWO BRAZILIAN BLOWOUTS. This salon is in Oklahoma...are you kidding me?! $1,500 for two Brazilian blowouts??? $1,500 is ABSURD and quite frankly, my mom was taken advantage of and cheated!!!10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! Oh and also only one of them had the Brazilian blowout properly done, they couldn't even do the job right for $1,500. Imagine that. The price online said "$99" but my mother was informed that the stylist that did the $99 blowouts wasn't there. She was then taken advantage of and charged the INSANE amount of $1,500 for my 2 sisters to get Brazilian blowouts. I myself have gotten a Brazilian blowout in Rancho Cucamonga, CA in a "luxury" salon bar and the coat was $300. Mind you, I have the same hair texture as my sisters, curly/wavy. $750 per Brazilian blowout just doesn't make sense. DO NOT GO TO THAIRAPY. JUST DON'T DO IT. I don't know how someone could even cheat a customer like that and think it's okay. This employee should be fired. You're lucky my mother doesn't recall your name. read more

I popped into this salon to buy some products and ended up getting a haircut from Taryn. She did an amazing job, and I've returned for another cut since then. Their products are great and smell fantastic, and Taryn has given me a great cut both times. It is really hard for me to get an appointment at my old salon, but Thairapy finds a way to fit me in. The salon was nice inside and the stylist was friendly. Unfortunately my hair did not come out great. After I washed it myself at home I realized that my hair is uneven. There are some parts that are very choppy and its too blunt. Now I have to go to another salon and get it fixed. I will have to go to work for a few days with bad hair because I couldn't get an appointment until next week. It doesn't look good in a ponytail either so I can't hide it that way. :( read more

I have lived in Oklahoma City for 4 years now. I moved from San Diego to be near my sister. For the last four years I have not been able to find anyone to give me the quality Brazilian blow out or hair coloring I like. I just reached the point that it didn't exist here and have been going around with hair I'm not that fond of...until 3 weeks ago when I made an appointment for a Brazilian blowout with Mary W. at Thairapy Salon. I told her that stylist before her had tried to give me a Brazilian blowout but the product didn't seem to last more than a week when it should have lasted a few months. She asked me some apparently pivotal questions and then proceeded to give my very thick hair the maximum amount of passes with the straight iron.I immediately knew that I had gotten a blowout from my past. I was so thrilled that I then asked if she could give me a hair color that matched my gray hairs so that as it grew out (I have a very short fade that grows out quickly) it would not look too different from my natural hair color. She said, absolutely! Well, she did not lie! I have received so many compliments on my hair and the color. It looks amazing and really matches my gray hair. I had moved away from the Oklahoma City area for a few months but even prior to that I struggled with getting a long lasting incorrect hair color. I tried verbally communicating... I tried communicating with pictures that described what it is that I desired. More often than not I would walk out and find that in 4 to 6 weeks my color wasn't covering very well or extremely fading or I simply ended up with receiving a procedure that was totally incorrect. And just as a sidenote, yes, I did attempt to go back to each of those salons to have my hair repaired. Again, in 4 to 6 weeks I was left with a mess. More recently, the last few salons I visited in OKC ended up giving me a balayage instead of highlights/low lights. I decided that I was going to come to this establishment and speak to Erin M. She is the level 4a certified colorist. She gave me a very thorough consultation and talked with me for a long time. She explained the process that I would have to go through to basically get my hair color corrected after multiple attempts that have left my hair damaged. She also explained because she's a level 4a certified hair colorist that she has more expensive prices. I'll be honest, I didn't want to pay those prices but I did want someone who knew what they were talking about to do my hair. But to her credit and honor she did offer me an alternative, that she would work with another stylist in the salon who's prices weren't as expensive to achieve the results I was looking for. Not that I didn't trust the other stylist in the salon...but I decided that I have already wasted a lot of money on incorrect attempts, so I looked at this as an investment. It was at that time that Erin scheduled my appointment. And on my scheduled day I arrived to begin the process of color correction. I left the salon that day extremely pleased after my appointment. My color matched the picture that I showed to Erin EXACTLY. She also gave me the exact cut that I was asking for. It took a long time but Erin did just what she said that she was going to do. And almost 6 weeks later my color is still holding. Very pleased. read more

I drive all the way from Shawnee, so the fact that they are less expensive than any other place I have found is AMAZING! Not only is the salon BEAUTIFUL, but every single person I've ever encountered there is super polite and accommodating. I got my lashes done by one girl there, and she did a fabulous job. She was going on vacation so I had to book my appointment 3 weeks back instead of 2. Well, the original girl that did them left suddenly, and they called me and made sure I got in with someone else on the exact day and time I had initially scheduled. Hannah was AMAZING!!! Super sweet and kind, and was very meticulous in making sure my lash extensions were the desired length and volume I wanted. I went to Thairapy because the reviews were very good and it was close and open on Sundays. I left very disappointed. This is undoubtedly the worse cut I have had in years. I waited for the review on Monday when I went to work. The sides didn't match in length. The sides didn't match in just the cut itself. I had flips and stray hairs that looked like they didn't belong anywhere. The bangs weren't good. The work review was not good. I guess most disappointing was that the stylist was okay with me leaving like it was...not good for marketing. I won't go back and will certainly not recommend. I liked the salon and everyone was very nice. I have to think by the reviews this doesn't happen very often so may be worth trying, but my first experience will be my last. read more
