The one star rating is simply because it's my local - 5 minutes walk from home but the previous…read morereviewers are right about the regulars! However worse than that - it's SO poorly managed. It's usually quite dirty, the queuing system is random, especially when they mix the ticketing with the food, signage often out of date, wrong or completely absent, the 'suits' who are meant to keep the peace are totally ineffectual and staff often entirely lacking. But much much much worse still - they only show the films that appeal to the lowest common denominator - if you want to see anything that regularly uses words of more than 2 syllables, this isn't the place for you. Cineworld management - have you wondered why the receipts are so poor here? See above!
Bexleyheath Cineworld is much like all the other out of town cinemas I've been too, it kinda sucks…read more The potential is there - they have nice screens and nice seats.. I guess it's the people visiting who ruin it more than really being able to put any blame on the staff. If you see a film here you're likely to have the teen crowd who view throwing popcorn and making phone calls as more important than viewing the film, this is very frustrating. Unless you are there because you want to throw popcorn, in which case-- party on. My only real trouble with the actual staff is how they seem to let kids of any age slip into films of any certificate. Normally if you go see an '18' you know you're going to be safe from the annoying children who should be doing their homework. But not at Bexleyheath; they seem to have no restrictions, age-wise. If this is your only choice, then why not, seeing a film is better than seeing nothing. But if you have any other choices I would suggest you explore those first. A cinema with potential that unfortunately doesn't pull through.

I think someone mentioned a gym as well, but I didn't wander in there. I came down here to practice with team mates from the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (we were a corporate team, so only had one practice before race day.) The awesome team, Raging Dragons instructed us, gave us lots of helpful advice and showed us how not to make too much of a fool of ourselves on the water. They (the Raging Dragons) mentioned that they are always looking for new members, so if you live near here and fancy getting fit in a fun, slightly splashy way, get involved! http://www.ragingdragons.co.uk/ (They said training was on Thursday nights and Sunday mornings.) *I have a feeling dragon boat racing is a very good way to improve arm and tummy muscles if you don't mind the ache the following day!*

Now you can take the kids and have a great family day out. Saturday mornings, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons are all free to get in and you get a programme too so you don't even have to bet you can just go along and have a completely free day out. There's a nice restaurant function room upstairs with a disabled lift, also downstairs there's a snack cafe bar with a nice food and a well stocked alcoholic bar. There's indoor and outdoor viewing and lots of parking, next door to Sainburys Crayford. A great day/night out. Check out the website for party offers and special days.

The only evidence of its existence is an orange sign and an open gate inviting you down stairs. Once down there you enter a small basement bar with a few chairs and tables looking towards a tiny makeshift stage. There's a certain charm about it, almost as if you have found your way into a secret club. Everyone sets out to have the best time possible and a close knit group of local artists organise music showcases. The usually small crowds here respect the music which is nice and this enhances most people's enjoyment of the evenings. In my experience the music at Oliver's isn't that brilliant but it is still worth checking out and the artists usually enjoy a bit of light banter with the crowd. The bar area is based in a tiny room next to the performance area and when busy, this area gets very congested. It is also where the toilet is. For some reason people insist on standing there and so if you need to relieve yourself then leave yourself plenty of time to get to the loo.

They have an excellent bar upstairs which is very comfortable and relaxed- a place where you could equally go on a date and sit back and read the papers on a Sunday afternoon. They sell a variety of organic snacks and drinks which you can take into the cinema with you, in addition to the drinks which you can buy from the bar upstairs (a big plus of this place is being able to take beer and wine in to the cinema) The chairs are extremely comfortable- far more comfortable than usual- and are worth the extra few pounds that you spend on getting in.
