He arrived on time, did what needed to be done with minimal disruption, and left the job site neat and orderly. This is the experience I had with Premier Refinishing. I deliberately waited almost a year to write this review because I wanted to be sure that the refinishing did what I hoped it would do...make my outdated bathroom look more modern. I also wanted to ensure that the paint stuck to the tiles without bubbling or peeling. I'm pleased to say that Sal and his crew exceeded my expectations. Sal provided an accurate quote, his crew arrived on time each day, took great care to maintain a clean work site, and were personable and efficient. When a minor issue arose, Sal showed up ON EASTER DAY to make sure he understood what needed to be corrected and had his team come to me the next business day. As it turns out, the fix was relatively simple. I highly recommend using Premier Finishing based on the professionalism with which they executed the job.

They were very quick to respond and sent the crew out the same day, they inspected the floors and ended up doing another coat at no cost. Floors came out great. When I got there, the chair was in pieces and I was told it was beyond repair. He did not tell me this ahead of time before I got there. The console was to have a new solid oak top replaced. He showed me a piece of wood he had in the shop as an example of what he would use. He did not use that. He put on pieces of non-uniform, mismatched veneer. Not solid oak as per the contract. There were other small details in the contract, e.g. nail holes to be filled and a loose drawer to be fixed. These were not attended to at all. The back of the legs, which granted you can not see, were not finished. He has not made good on a promise to replace the top and fix details. Update June 13, 2026: I was there today and the owner has now promised to do the repairs on the console.

I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

We reached out to several flooring contractors and they were either slow to respond or gave us absurdly high quotes. Viking Wood Floors were the most responsive, easy to communicate with, and reasonably priced. Since we were still living an hour away, Kirk made sure to update us via text with pictures. He was also happy to let in our plumber to do a water heater replacement and bring in packages for us as needed. At one point, it turned out there was some miscommunication where the stair treads were refinished instead of replaced. Despite the miscommunication being my fault, Kirk was happy to get it done in time without charging us for finishing the treads again. Everything wrapped up just in time and the floors look great. They are ultra smooth and flat. Places that look tricky (through closet walls) look seamless. Thanks!
