This treatment carried over through my entire experience with The Carpenter's Touch. I was very appreciative of receiving an itemized and detailed description of the work that would be done on my roof. As a detail-oriented person, this was very important to me. Also, I was contacted and kept up to date with the progress of obtaining the permit, the delivery of materials and all of my questions were always answered to my satisfaction. My house is very old with multiple layers of existing shingles on the roof. This meant the project was more intense, and I never expected to see a new roof on my house by the end of the day. Needless to say, the entire job was done in one day and the clean up was above and beyond what I had expected. They cleaned the lawn, walkway to the yard and the backyard using their Magnetic Nail sweep. They even put tarp on my house and the houses of my neighbors for protection against debris falling, etc. I had contractors that gave me estimates on my roofing job and none of them mentioned doing this. In fact, when I mentioned putting tarp on the homes on each side of my home for protection, they said it wasn't necessary. We used Carpenters Touch to redo a section of our roof that was leaking. During the job, they identified the underlying issues with how the original roof was done that was causing us problems for years (e.g. inadequate ventilation and condensation). While the additional work led to an increase in the overall cost of the project, they documented the issues with pictures and were able to do the additional work at the same time. The job was completed on time. In terms of logistics, there was some back and forth needed to pin down the precise date they were going to start. We also had to follow up with them to get the dumpster removed in a timely manner. But, these were pretty minor issues. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

Our roof and chimney were damaged. Every time it rained, we would get water inside the house and damages were done to the attic and 2nd bedroom.
