At least a couple of times he talked us out of more expensive solutions that he didn't think were necessary which I greatly appreciated since we hadn't owned a pool before. Needless to say it was leaking and now solidly/finally beyond rehab efforts. These guys quoted me a very competitive price for a replacement. Many pool companies have huge waiting times during this odd, pandemic-related home/remodel explosion. Phil came within 3 days to do a (free) evaluation and estimate and then we scheduled the repair for his next available opening about 10 days later - on a Sunday morning! All appointment times were average or much faster than average right now. Phil confessed he's absorbing the high demand by working 7 days a week. During the replacement/repair of the sand filter setup we ran into several issues that required some creative re-plumbing. None of it was added on - neither the couple of extra parts, the extra trip to Leslie's and Ace, nor the extra time. In other words, they stuck to their word on the original $1k estimate. They did mention that it didn't hurt that I hung with them all three hours, lending a hand wherever I could (mostly I just wanted to learn/understand the new set up). These guys are good-natured, very knowledgable, cleanup after the job is done, and test everything before leaving. A fair price for a fair job? Yes you can!

We inherited Tanque Verde pools from the previous owners of our home. We paid $165/mo for 2-4…read moreservices. They were not communicative or proactive (wrote them on occasion asking for input to an observed issue or inquiring about next scheduled service to no response) however, they were mostly punctual (maybe skipped 4-5 visits during their 6 months of service) so we continued service as we had plenty to work on in our new home. We planned to resurface the pool this winter, the plaster is rough enough for the time being that it makes keeping some algae at bay. 3 weeks ago I wrote inquiring how we might help keep the pool clean in between visits now that it was hot. For the first time I was informed that the pool was not holding chlorine, and he advised we add shock in between visits and offered to sell us some at his cost. We agreed to give it one more week with additional chlorine, and then check in. That never happened because we received a one sentence email saying they would no longer be servicing our pool due to its not holding chlorine. At worst, profoundly unprofessional, at best mediocre service in a competitive market.
