Waffle fries

Great spot for a quick bite. I had the prime French dip on a long roll with waffle fries it was delicious. My date has the fried chicken sandwich also amazing. Both portions were huge. Service was quick and staff was super friendly and took note of my allergies. The frying oil is NOT peanut oil in case anyone wanted to know. I will definitely be coming back again

Nice place to hangout. Its a nice place with a great service. I tried the Taste of Ireland here. It was a perfect size to try out all thr different dishes of Ireland. It was nice causal place where people can hang out watching sports (tvs all over) and listening to a good rock music. I revommend anyone looking for a nice Irish pub to hangout.

Rueben with thatch fries

Always a great time when we come here whether for a drink or food. Usually we are able to be seated on the restaurant side on the crazier nights when the bar is crowded. Service is always fantastic every time I've been here. Our server this evening Diana was beyond attentive always making sure our glasses were full, food was to our liking, and getting us our check and to go containers. It can give a bit of a dive bar vibe at times but it'll never disappoint you. Parking is often a bit chaotic now as there is a new outdoor tent built that removed some parking spots. I am a huge lover of ranch so their thatch fries are a guilty pleasure. Not to mention they also have bacon! And plenty of cheese on battered fries.

My husband and I dined here for the first time for my birthday. We really enjoyed our entrées, and all the staff were kind. The pretzel appetizer wasn't quite what I'd hoped, but nonetheless, we hope to return again soon.

Came here to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with my family, interesting experience as I normally don't score on a single meal at all. Food: this was very polarizing for me. The pretzel appetizer was very good and some of the food was liked, but my meal (corned beef sandwich) was very disappointing. Aesthetic: well kept and very nice. Service: the waitress was very kind and attentive. Really enjoyed the experience.

Great ambiance! Love to eat outside as well. The Irish Curry is amazing. Attentive staff without being too on top of you!

Located on Ringwood Ave. in Haskell, Kitchen and Beer Bar prominently stands amongst its nearby…read moresurroundings in the downtown section of Wanaque (Haskell and Wanaque are basically the same town, it's a very odd history). With warmer days expected now that spring is in full swing, Kitchen and Beer Bar has outdoor seating as an option for its guests. Inside dining is on the smaller side, so it's in your best interest to beat the crowds on busy nights. I have eaten here a handful of times over the last two years or so and have nothing but positive things to say. The food is always hot and fresh (even with takeout). The whole staff is very nice and helpful upon your arrival. And for any sports fans out there, there are plenty of TVs playing sports games around the room, giving you another reliable option if you were looking to lounge at a bar for a while and watch some games. I definitely recommend this restaurant/bar to anyone looking for a good American dish with sports bar vibes inside.

I genuinely cannot visit without ordering the buffalo garlic parm bone-in wings. It's a commitment at this point. The flavor combination sounds like it shouldn't work, but trust me -- it absolutely does. Crispy, saucy, and completely addictive. They're the reason I keep coming back. Beyond the wings, the specials are always worth checking out. They rotate regularly and never feel like an afterthought -- each one is something different and genuinely tasty, which keeps every visit feeling fresh. The outdoor seating area is a nice bonus too, with a decent amount of space to spread out and enjoy your meal al fresco. If you can catch them on a good service day, this place really hits. Either way, the food alone is worth the trip.

The chicken wings had a good crisp, the side salad I asked for was fresh, the cheese steak roll was pillowy soft and was nicely cheesy, and most importantly, the gentleman behind the bar who took our order was a fantastically nice guy The cons. The garlic parm sauce on the wings were a bit lacking and the amount of meat on the cheese steak was only half enough to really fill that long roll. And the most irksome thing was the 2,23 % "technology fee". No offense but WTH is that?????? If it was to use the credit card, it wasn't explained at all. Look, if you like a funky bar with good food and you are in the area, I would say check it out once in your life and form your opinion. But, for me, I just don't know how often

Obviously the outside is traditional to the moon but once you go in it is a mix of character and new age bliss. They only have one happy hour special at the moment which is a beer, a burger and a shot for $10 which can't be leaked. Unfortunately I wasn't opting for the burger but I was able to get a beer and add a $2 shot to get the most bang for my buck. The tap collection is a great mix. It's one of the few places that has a a selection of local New York Piers, including harp lager, but then you always have your traditional Sam Adams, which this time was a winter white air and of course PBR. The beers come in 10 oz mugs which is an interesting size. They range from $5 to $8 at this moment. And the well liquor is not the type that will give you a headache unless you're just drinking it in excess. When I came there was no one there but it was a slow Monday. Either way the service was great. The music mix was fun and very diverse as well as they have three TVs that you can adjust. Pool tables, arcade game. Retro lounge chairs with a cute custom table. I'm a sucker for a bar where I can go by myself until the home and this one did the trick. Prices are reasonable but I miss the $3 beer days lol Since I didn't get the food and I do think the price is a bit high for the area and giving it four stars. But honestly for what it is I would pay a dollar extra for a beer here versus some other places.

We found Benny Havens on Yelp and thought it looked worth a try. This place is what it is, a local institution that does what it does; if you want something else, go someplace else. It is of course unabashedly an Army bar. Sure it's a dive, but in the coziest, best sense of the word. The owner and staff were welcoming and the food was simple and honest. All they have is hamburgers/cheeseburgers and wings, and fries or onion rings! That's it! We had cheeseburgers and fries/onion rings and everything was fresh and tasty. The bar is a great big wooden thing and I bet it has stories to tell. The beer was cold and the whiskey tasty. It's cash only, so bring your greenbacks. I don't often have reason to stop at places like Benny Havens, but every time I do, I wonder why I don't visit more often.

We came for the burgers - and must admit was wary of going to a little pub for food- but they did not disappoint! The burgers were big and juicy and tasted like they had been grilled on a backyard bbq. (So good I forgot to snap a photo!) The fries were light and crispy (similar to McDonalds). We tried the chicken wings as well. They are fried and not as juicy as I typically like, but had a good flavor. It's a limited menu but there's a little something for everyone (chicken tenders, burgers, onion rings, mozzarella sticks). The waitress and bartender were both very kind and friendly to myself and my son, who were visiting West Point Academy for the weekend. We also met a couple of WP Alums who were meeting up and very nice and welcoming to us both. Def recommend if you're in town for a local experience - swing by for a burger and a beer!
