    Wrap menu !!!

Sorry it's a wrap had to deduct a star after yesterday's food experience...... My wrap the El Burrito Local ?!?!! Disappointed very dry and I asked them to please put salt & pepper on my wrap before they roll it up which of course they did not !!! Also after eating less then half my wrap a got a very bad stomach ache !!!! Hope all their food & ingredients are at their freshest state as possible!!! The wife & kid both got their normal wraps the chicken teriyaki and they also were very dry / off maybe a new cook ?? Consistency is a must and clearly something is off !!! Sorry, it might be a wrap for us !!!

So the burrito loco wasn't bad tasting. The portion was definitely a lot. The timing that they gave us to pick it up was right on time. My only dilemma was the price for what we mostly got inside the burrito. There's no way 3 burritos should come out to $35 and change. The loco burrito has more rice and beans inside than it does meat and cheese. And the veggie burrito was just that a veggie burrito. I'm glad I tried it but I won't be going back, rice and beans and vegetables should not cost anyone almost $40.

I think I'd give more of a 3.5 rating. I've ordered from here twice. They aren't cheap but the wraps are huge. I had the steak wrap and it was alright. It wasn't terrible but it was kind of bland and I didn't taste the garlic sauce at all. My boyfriend had the el burrito loco wrap and really enjoyed it. His mom had the chicken teriyaki wrap and also enjoyed hers. Overall this place is fine, I'd probably try different things next time

My first time here even though I've passed this place a bunch of times. They are in a very small plaza with a bunch of other businesses. There is parking but there are not many spots and it fills up quickly. The store itself is pretty small, probably with four or five tables. The ordering counter is in the back of the store. There's also a flat screen which was playing a movie when I was there. Most if not all of the menu looks pretty healthy. Wraps, obviously, but they also have sandwiches and salads. I had the buffalo chicken wraps with the fries. He wrap was a little salty but it was good. The fries were really good. I'll definitely be back

Just okay. Food: Got the Philly cheesesteak wrap and my date went with the veggie wrap. Both of our wraps fell apart and we had to use a fork to finish. My wrap's flavor was a little underwhelming so I inserted ketchup/mayo. Date loved his food. Service: This is a takeout spot, cool. There are a few tables and chairs if you want to eat on the spot. But I still could not figure out why our wraps came out on paper plates? Like them styrofoam ones you use at a cookout.. Ok fine...that's my fault for being booshie. But damn, that's no bueno for presentation. Cashier was helpful and friendly. She walked our food over. Venue: I'll also add that Chris Brown's "Sex you back to sleep" explicit version was playing through the store speakers. We got a good laugh though. Store was neat and tidy. Conclusion: I'll give it another go. They have a huge/interesting menu and the prices are fair.

Burrito El Burrito Loco in bowl form

I come here from time to time but I always regret it when I do. The prices are steep, even for Howard beach standards. I usually get the "El Burrito Loco" but in a bowl instead of wrap which is extra which makes no sense to me. Last time I went ordered a few meals and they forgot one of the items so I had to go back to pick it back up. It's definitely a healthy option in an area that has a lot of takeout spots. This place better watch out when chipotle opens up because it'll be a tough competitor

That's a wrap has been in Howard Beach about six years. It's a quaint little restaurant at the end of cross bay Boulevard and across the street from Russo's on the bay. I know the really busy and they always have an A on the window. They're very health-conscious and everything is made fresh and you can change in order around to either specify your needs or pallet. Over the last few years they changed the menu and added burritos and quesadillas. All the Food is Delicious! The french fries are delicious they also have rice putting granola treats and Ice-T. Everyone is really polite and the store is really clean they deliver and have takeout. They have many things for vegans are vegetarians as well as chicken items beef items and vegetable items and again everything fresh! My family has been here often but I never had a taste for anything until today I'm so glad I came to eat I will definitely be back often! The food here is so much better than I had anticipated.

Their wraps are pretty huge. Comparable to the size of a Chipotle Burrito--if that's a unit of measurement you are familiar with.

The music and elegance of the atmosphere was rejuvenating and relaxing. I was so glad we walked into this beautiful hidden gem on Jamaica Avenue. I couldn't believe that such a place existed here. I felt like I walked into a restaurant in Manhattan. We started with drinks. Kids drinks came in plastic containers while adult drinks came in glass ones. We ordered Diet Coke, Sprite, Mango juice and Strawberry juice. The juices were thirst quenching and hydrating. We had steak and eggs for the 1st time and it was perfectly pink in the center with a crispy, juicy exterior. The potatoes were just right. The Eggs Benedict was just right with the yolk oozing out after you bite into it. The fettuccine Alfredo was sauced just right, not too much or too little. The California Omelette was delicious and done just right. The kids pancake was just the way our kids liked them, with sliced strawberries on top. The strawberries were so yummy, we ordered a side of them just for our kids to munch on. It was smart to give our kids crayons to draw on the paper tablecloth. It kept them busy and helped our family create a happy memory of tic-tac-toe between parents and kids. POP's Cocina & Bar definitely deserves my Yummylicious Stamp of Approval and two thumbs up! Thank you so much for an amazing foodie experience!

I ordered Chicharon de Pollo with rice and beans, a common, no nonsense dish. It was soon presented exquisitely with three dishes Manhattan style and nicely garnered. Sorry no picture as I soon asked for a regular plate to eat my food all together Dominican Style. Brick walls accented with floor to ceiling windows and nuvo chic music with a heavy downbeat competed for my attention. I honestly thought this was a typical diner. So the restaurant was a total surprise. The Chicharon just chicken breast, cut and fried. But it was acceptable. Ugh. 4% service charge. Not cool. I still tipped well but the meal was already over priced. I was willing to make an exception but I also had to wait at the bar for my final bill.

The floral displays are fun and are probably the highlight of the visit. The space is clearly designed for photos, and I can see why it would be popular for birthdays, showers, or other special occasions. They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

But I went there today with some family and was hoping to find a Mexican restaurant that's comfortable for eating on the property. It's a really small space, I think there were 4 to 6 tables, and somehow I didn't get that from looking at the yelp reviews. For the food alone, the place is at least worth 4 stars. The Guacamole here is better than at many, many places... freshly made, has enough salt, cilantro... I'm a guac snob, and I liked this. The chips are a typical fried tortilla, and they were good. 3 of us had Quesadillas, one with mushrooms, one with beef, and the other with shrimp. We all liked them. One of us got a burrito, which was pretty hefty, and they liked what they got. Same person got a slice of Tres Leches and a slice of cheesecake and loved them. Service was fine. The place is on a corner with plenty of street parking around (on a Saturday afternoon). It's not much to look at but I would return with a smaller group.
