Second time at Manor Delicatessen. Last time I got Pastrami. This time I got the Mr. P wrap & the Woodhaven Manor Classic Hero wrap. Grabbed a half pound of potato salad. Regret not getting the rice pudding. I am sad that they are closing August 21, 2026. The store already looks like they a running out of inventory today Wednesday August 13th, and the person working indicated as much saying that they might close up the shop earlier than anticipated if the inventory is depleted sooner. So sad to lose a 100+ year old beautiful interior and exterior and welstore. Goodbye America!!! read more

Love the hot pastrami on rye with a touch of mustard ! I also love the potato pancakes with applesauce . I've tried the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and it was good. Friendly service. Nice and clean . I gave it a 4/5 because some of the foods that I have tried tend to have an onion taste . I like the seasoning of onion but not on everything. Overall, I would recommend! read more

Excellent Rueben sandwich with quality ingredients that hits the spot. The pastrami was sliced so thin it melts in your mouth. Real sauerkraut. Add Swiss cheese and a touch of Russian dressing on rye bread and you've got a hot sandwich that will take you away. read more

Well with this Corona Virus going on we were passing this deli which we've wanted to try for some time now .... they had their sign out for curbside pickup which was awesome .. We frequently eat at their resturant Octoberfest which is located on Yellowstone Blvd. We love their restaurant off the chain delicious.... Anyway we called in an order for two hot pastrami's on rye with Russian dressing, side of coleslaw and one of their hot dogs with kraut & mustard... The Pastrami on marble rye which was super fresh; thin sliced super moist not too fatty & not too lean & very tasty; 5 stars Coleslaw; finally a slaw that I don't need to add salt or pepper, super fresh it's a thin cut seasoned perfectly with a nice sweet dressing; 5 stars The Hot dog special @ $ 2.50; served on a mini Italian bread hero; we opted for kraut & mustard, very delicious the hero bread absorbed the juices from the kraut so your bread was crusty on the outside and with the kraut & mustard super moist & yummy on the inside and the hot dog was delicious as well ... now the frank does get a lil lost in the mini hero but it works !!! 4 stars The service and our server Stephanie ; took our order and ran it out to us took money gave change professional, warm and a friendly smile; 5 stars As my fellow yelpers know I don't give out five stars just from one visit I wouldn't be helping out our yelp universe; so we will make this place our go to for the next few months and try other food items on the menu .... I decided to make this review not just for the outstanding BLT I just had but MORE so for the cleanliness of this place that had me blown away . Literally ,Everything was completely spotless with not a single streak on any of the food display glass . Not one ! . The floors looked like they were polished , the drinks in the fridges were all stocked up and organized with all the beverage logos aligned , The food was displayed immaculately with no imperfections and with NO smears along the platters . I was in complete Awe of the situation it almost felt too good to be true as if I was in an Artificial intelligence Deli . Now with that being said I just wanna say Congratulations to the team running that place and that if I had the honor to give an award to the cleanest Deli I've ever stepped foot in .... Years ago when I worked for State Farm on Jamaica Avenue , we used to order from Manor all the time Then in 2006 my boss retired and I moved on to State Farm in Jamaica Queens . My family and I were trying to decide on where we would cater Christmas Dinner from third year and I suggested Manor So we ordered Swedish Meatballs, Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli, Eggplant Rollatini, Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard and a tray of mini sandwiches which consisted of Ham , Turkey, Roastbeef and cheeses Everything was cooked just right and delicious! I have been going to The Manor Delicatessen for many years it has been in Woodhaven for little over 75 years. When you see this place and walk in here it's like no other place around the area it's like going back in time. Places like this are disappearing but not this place it has held up strong this place is definitely a gem, when you go in you are greeted with a smile and the staff is friendly and will take very good care of you. The Owner sets high standards in this place as far as cleanliness and in prepping & serving only the best quality in their foods such as their sandwiches, salads and homemade cold and hot foods. You will never be disappointed in the variety of hot and cold selections they offered here. Great cold cuts the pork loin is great! But the packing presentation is phenomenal!!! I bought 1/2 pound of turkey, roast beef, pork loin, munster cheese and fed 6 people for three days nicely. Manors deli has been a staple on the border of woodhaven and Richmond hill. I'm 60 years old now and the place is a gem of the neighborhood. As for the pastrami I would take the ride too Katz deli. But manors is a consistent entity for knowledge I'm so please they're still going to. I moved to woodhaven when I was 9 . And manors was there before me The math ain't hard. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because it was clean, customer service was great, there were lots of choices, and the prices were reasonable, however when I tried it today, it didn't do well with my stomach. I hadn't had anything to eat before coming, so I know this is what did it. I had a tuna melt and mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese wasn't bad and the tuna melt was pretty good too but about an hour or two after eating, I had horrible diarrhea. read more

Twas the point of my lunch rendezvous, but not to worry, with all of the delicious lunch choices Manor Deli offers, such circumstances are no grounds to fret Freshly prepared crab cakes of which I bought two, shrimp salad, mac and cheese, German potato salad were the sides I had to buy, its been over six months since.my last visit, I need to make up for list time. I subbed out the Brat for the pastrami on rye, I love that sandwich so much I did not feel the slightest bit disappointed. The Shrimp Salad, mayonnaise was different, kinda creamy, kinda sweet, the xtra celery is alway a nice touch. The Mac & Cheese, a little bland but not booring. Problem with mac n cheese in general is, theres only ok and best, this was not the latter. The Chick Pea Salad, didn't seem homemade, still good, prob outta the can with fresh cut peppers. A true local neighborhood gem. From what I would imagine this place has been around for several decades. It is conveniently located on Jamaica Avenue one block east of Woodhaven Boulevard. I stop by to grab a coffee and an egg sandwich and I was not disappointed. Upon walking in you are greeted by very friendly staff behind the counter, Dressed in white aprons. The decor inside is suggestive of an all-time delicatessen. There are many homemade foods and salads to choose from in the display case. All made in house and fresh daily. While I did not get to sample any of them, I can say that the egg sandwich was very delicious. The roll was fresh. The eggs were fried perfectly and the bacon was cooked crisp. The coffee was absolutely outstanding. I will definitely return for the coffee and the egg sandwich. On a sidenote, there was a tray of apple crumb cake that I had to have a piece of and it was glorious. If you are in the area stop by it is well worth a visit read more

Moving to queens recently I have had a little bit of cultural shock. yes there are alot more condensed areas to shop and the food overall is probably better mostly because of the amount of quality eats to area their in, However the one thing that was missing was a very good deli. Long Island has tons of delis that serve fresh cold cuts and home made pastas and food made to order with wide selections to choose from. Queens however seems to be inhabited by nothing but bodegas which are fine to get some quick groceries and stuff for the house but the tiny little slicer in the corner leaves alot to be desired in the sandwich department. When I walked into Manor I felt like I was home. The typical site of a long deli station filled with meats and cheeses from one end of the store to the other almost made my knees weak. They make their own fresh macaroni and potato salads which are extremely good as well as all the other salds (egg tuna etc) They have fresh meals you can order to take home and the prices for the sandwiches are very low but the quality is always fresh. Located on busy Jamaica Avenue near Woodhaven Blvd is a German deli that has been for a long time. At one time in NYC, there were tons of German Delis and now are fewer and fewer. Manor Deli still makes food the old German way, from meats, to black forest cake, to salads. The service is excellent and the place is very clean.
