Prices can be on the higher side for branded items, but it still feels worthwhile--giving clothes a second life while still feeling good about what you're wearing. My husband and I were in the area and stumbled upon this Dillard's, which is a "Dillard's clearance…read morecenter". The store had brand new clothes that were at least 50-60% off of the original tag. Some of the items were still more expensive than I thought it should be given the dated look and style. For example, a 2024 "Mr. And Mrs." Wine glasses were still like $10! If you gave me that for $1, I wouldn't even want it. There was a huge selection of men's, women's and children's clothing. Not so much home goods. There were some bedding, and curtains, but I did not see any kitchen gadgets or appliances. You have to have patience to go in here and dig through the racks!

I have been purging and the last couple of times I have been here, it seems like an inconvenience to get my free stuff. I always bring it in a box, never too heavy as I have to carry it down stairs, and everything is clean and organized. And I am not expecting a lot, I just want you to walk to my car so I can give you my stuff. But they act like you are inconveniencing them.

I came by to drop off some clothes, small kitchen appliances, and storage containers. The young…read moreguy who came out to meet me immediately interrupted me mid sentence and told me that Goodwill did not sell storage containers and the units I brought were "trash." Figuring he was having a bad day I said alright I have other stuff, but do you have a dumpster I can put the storage containers in. He said, "I don't have a dumpster" and stared at me. Really? At this point I was done. I reminded him that I was originally going to donate other items. He just stood there in silence breathing through his open mouth. I remember when charities used to appreciate your donations. Goodwill is history for me. Never again. And my donations? I put them in the trash on the way home. If someone wants them they can fish them out themselves. I'm done with these rude and ungrateful charities.
