From the staff to the bartenders to Romina answering the million and one questions I had. Romina was so great about answering the million questions to giving great advice and recommendations ! She even helped me the cake and help set up for the day! She also recommended our Dj and MC which they made sure we stayed on top of the schedule and kept the party going till the very last minute! What I truly loved about this venue a it's Corp that they make it easy for you to make payments at your own pace. We had our food tasting in Jan and they provided the different catering options and they also had different vendors that they work with them ! I would definitely recommend this place!! I recently just had my wedding here and honestly it was nice and most of the workers were very nice but the venu coordinator Romina was very difficult to work with. I would text her to ask simple questions and she would never text me back. Also, the elevator was broken the week before and we were told it would be fixed by the day of the wedding but all my guest who used it informed me it was very scary and felt like they were going to get stuck. The cushions used for the ceremony seating were dirty, as well as many of the napkins they gave us to use for our dinner. That was just the day of complaint. Romina made our whole wedding planning a horrible experience. She lost our food tasting paper. Several times she continued to mention the incorrect date of our event, and I'm pretty sure she still doesn't even know mine and my husbands names. She seemed unorganized and unprepared. At one point, we regretted putting a down payment down for the terrible treatment we were experiencing. Also, the place allows you to stock the bar and I heard from my guests that someone at the end of the night was giving away our bottles that we had brought. Not cool! This place is nice but trust me there's better places! Just keep looking. Lastly, the parking situation for guests was not great, and the homelessness around the area is simply out of control. read more

To re-iterate what my wife said- the staff and the bartenders were great. It is the venue and the manager could really use improvement. The plate settings and seats were dirty, floor was broken, bar cart was broken, the elevator was sketchy and our guest did not feel comfortable using it. They gave away our liquor at the end of the night (yes, we were present). Zero communication with Romina throughout our entire process ( 1 year and 3 months), she lost our food order, even when we would try to pay her, she was not present to accept payment as scheduled. Romina asked for all cash for the final payment, which was weird. Of course she did not have any change and still owes me money. On the day of our walk through she was zero help and left early, which was on a Tuesday btw because she overbooked. On the day of our wedding, she was walking people through our event to show them what it would look like, (an hour before we started. Get out of the way). She probably did not really explain to that poor couple that she would be zero help in making anything on your big day feel special. There is more to which I'd love to share with management but when I go to contact anyone in charge, it always goes straight back to Romina. Everything you see in the pictures is the hard work of a decorator or florist or coordinator, the venue and the "manager" are zero help with any of it. Also, $800 for empanadas?!?! Last week I coordinated a Poker Night & Social at The 1912 for a non-profit organization I'm a part of. We had about 180 people attending (80 in the Poker Tournament). Romina was so great to work with in planning the event. She was responsive and accommodating whenever I had changes. She was a great help in working out the best set up for tables to make the best use of the space. Since the venue did not have another event the day/night before ours, she even allowed us to come in and set up things the day before - that was such a huge help and made the day of the event so much less stressful. The staff was awesome during the event. I heard feedback from several guests about how attentive and helpful they all were. It's a small thing, but I loved that the security guy was dressed up in a black suit instead of a yellow windbreaker that says "SECURITY" like we have had in previous years when I've put on this event - it added a lot of class to the event. The bartender was friendly and fun. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The venue itself looked great - with that rustic feel. It was perfect for the fun/casual event we were having. My guests were so impressed with everything! Loved it so much that I'm planning to do next year's event there as well! read more

We absolutely loved this venue from the moment we walked in and loved even more working with Romina. The venue itself has a phenomenal atmosphere, very modern, industrial and classic. The location, Downtown Santa Ana has so much personality and a great lively scene too. We compared a lot of different places and this was the most affordable without cutting back on quality or service. Their packages are very inclusive and transparent. They offer a full, friendly staff who were more than attentive. Romina was an absolute dream to work with, we had changes up until the day of the wedding and she was flexible and accommodating. She was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns making sure we were stress free and would love our wedding which we did. We were able to have live music, a boba bar, and a taco stand. I am so happy my husband and I chose The 1912 for our wedding venue. Having both being born and raised in Santa Ana, this venue felt like it was meant to be. The location was super nostalgic for us and the venue itself was so elegant. Our guests were so pleased and could not stop complimenting on how nice the venue was! The planning process was extremely easy all thanks to their manager, Romina. She was very communicative and clear. She was so friendly, I felt like I had known her forever! We loved that the venue provided the table setup and food which was very tasty. We had selected our dinner option from the food tasting event they had provided months prior and we were not disappointed. It was actually tough to choose because all of our options were very good! The day of our wedding, everything ran so smoothly. The staff, including the servers and bartenders, were on point! Glasses were constantly getting refilled and empty plates were picked up quickly. My husband kept saying how impressed he was with the speediness of the servers. Overall, The 1912 was the one of the best choices we made for our wedding day. Loved everything about our venue!! My husband and I had our wedding here in March 2024. Romina made our lives so easy and helped us through the process. She always was available to take my calls or answer my texts. I am so happy she was able to work with us throughout the entire year. The venue is taken care of very well and they provided so much furniture. I am really happy with the entire thing and I give this venue a 5 star review!!!! Loved loved loved everything about it. Reason for giving only 3 stars has nothing to do with the staff. Staff and bartender were all super helpful and amazing! Nice and very attentive to everyone needs. Location was very nice and clean! Staff was on everything which I loved. My Mom got married here and I can definitely say it was a 50/50 experience. The reason being was due to the complications regarding the alcohol fees/charges and the fact that my mom paid EXTRA to have greenery added to the roof and I can confirm there was no greenery added... regarding the alcohol situation was due to being probably 1 1/2 - 2hrs in supposedly the alcohol bill has racked up to almost 2k. My mom was informed once it hit that number and one of the grooms men had questioned the lady in charge how they were charging for the alcohol because there was IN DEED no way that the guest present had that many drinks since there wasn't that many...... The lady didn't answer the groomsmen and kept giving the runaround that it was 500 for just the beers and 700 something for beers and mixed drinks that the guest had already consumed, but wouldn't answer the question about how they were charging. By the liquor bottle ??? By the mixed drinks!?!? Thankfully they were able to work something out and they were approved to close out the bill and bring there own alcohol. There was also only one bartender for all guest which made the line a little long but I felt like they should have at LEAST 2 bartender as I'm sure the bartender was stressed with so many people. She was amazing though! My suggestion is PAY THE FEE AND BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOL. read more

My review is based on the hidden costs of this venue. I asked for a price sheet for the venue rental and catering. According to the venue rental price sheet, the venue rental included: exclusive use of the site for 8 hours, standard lighting and access to speaker system, security guard, 200 chairs, 20 round tables, 1 sweetheart table, 4 high round tables, 1 low round table, 10 rectangular tables. All this seemed reasonable, and they had a huge catering menu. I e-mailed to give more info about my party and to schedule a tour. I received a response with a personalized proposal that tacked on approx. $3000+ in administrative fees as well as an equipment fee of $1300, although the standard lighting and speaker system is already included in the rental fee. It was $4500 to rent the space, so an extra $3000 in miscellaneous fees was a shock. There are many other beautiful venues around. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with hidden fees. read more

I had my perfect wedding here on March 15th two years ago and I couldn't have been more happy! The servers were great, very friendly and attentive. The staff who helped me set up and finalize the event were also wonderful! Amanda ensured every detail was perfect. They have a full kitchen inside the venue. The food was simply perfect and I was so thankful for the food crew who made our brunch wedding super tasty. I'm still dreaming of the appetizers that they served! We had our wedding reception at The 1912 in Santa Ana! And we were completely in awe of how our wedding colors and decorations looked inside the venue. We had fallen in love with this venue when we toured it. We switched our wedding from wanting the ceremony and reception in the same spot because of this venue. Although they do provide the option to have both, we wanted to enjoy the venue for our reception. We dealt with The 1912 team, Romina, and she was amazing! They were very helpful! Our wedding package included, Food, Soft Drinks, Some beers, Charger Plates, Chairs, Linens, Napkins, Glassware, cutlery and Toasting cider + Champagne! They also have the ability to rent things from them which makes it so much easier at the end of the night! We rented our sweethearts table arch, wedding cake stand and 2 easels but they have so much more! We had our own florist but they also have the option to have your centerpieces done with them! They are truly a one stop shop when it comes to wedding planning! We loved all the staff the day of our wedding! The bartenders and waitress staff ensured we had an amazing night! Beautiful venue with a cool and helpful manager, Shane. If you're looking for a wedding venue, they require you to work with 24 Carrots for food and service. 24 Carrots seemed a bit pricey to begin with, but they have many options that range from reasonable to extravagant. Their staff were also extremely nice and helpful. I would absolutely recommend the 1912 to anyone looking for a neat venue for their event. Every wall in the event hall (except maybe the one with the bathroom) can be used as a fantastic backdrop. The exposed ceiling has a very nice - almost industrial - look to it, but the lighting is elegant and beautiful. If you're interested in the 1912, just send them an email! Shane is so helpful. I attended a wedding here and this venue was absolutely beautiful! They make good use of a very small area to make every inch worth it. The ceremony was done in a large room, which a backwall that hides the DJ table behind it. The seating area was lined with flowers and the venue was beautiful. After the ceremony, the whole party is led out to the bar area where people drink while the floor is reset with tables for dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole event. The location is prime and allows for after-partying after the wedding! The only thing that I think they would need to work on is to replace the hand dryers in the bathrooms. They're very loud and went off multiple times during a heartfelt speech which distracted everyone in the wedding. Definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

We rented the venue for a wedding. It was a debacle. The servers were super mean. I paid for the wedding and they ended up kicking us out because they claimed my 21 year old daughter was drunk. She was doing nothing but dancing having a good time. She forgot her ID and they stalked her all night thinking she was under age. They are very rude there.
