Was a guest at 1912 recently. Great staff and service, beautiful event and cute venue. The 1912 is a hidden gem!

Wow. Did this venue check off everything on my list, oh yes. Not only is it a great location. They accommodate to a lot of things most venues would deny. Romina is one of the sweetest person I've met, responds right away and is extremely helpful. She even helped out the day of the wedding to make sure my dream valentine's wedding came to life. The staff is extremely helpful and so polite. The price is very reasonable for everything that comes included.I really can't recommend this service enough.

The dirty floor/broken tile at the 1912.

I recently just had my wedding here and honestly it was nice and most of the workers were very nice but the venu coordinator Romina was very difficult to work with. I would text her to ask simple questions and she would never text me back. Also, the elevator was broken the week before and we were told it would be fixed by the day of the wedding but all my guest who used it informed me it was very scary and felt like they were going to get stuck. The cushions used for the ceremony seating were dirty, as well as many of the napkins they gave us to use for our dinner. That was just the day of complaint. Romina made our whole wedding planning a horrible experience. She lost our food tasting paper. Several times she continued to mention the incorrect date of our event, and I'm pretty sure she still doesn't even know mine and my husbands names. She seemed unorganized and unprepared. At one point, we regretted putting a down payment down for the terrible treatment we were experiencing. Also, the place allows you to stock the bar and I heard from my guests that someone at the end of the night was giving away our bottles that we had brought. Not cool! This place is nice but trust me there's better places! Just keep looking. Lastly, the parking situation for guests was not great, and the homelessness around the area is simply out of control.

First and foremost, we would like to thank Romina for executing the perfect wedding celebration for us. She was amazing throughout our event. The venue was absolutely stunning. The staff and crew were friendly and helpful. We definitely would recommend this place. The food was on point, and the bar was excellent. The location was stunning. Romina, you're the best!! We had a great time and couldn't be happier with the results of our wedding. Thank you for the awesome memories we created with your help, Romina.

Last week I coordinated a Poker Night & Social at The 1912 for a non-profit organization I'm a part of. We had about 180 people attending (80 in the Poker Tournament). Romina was so great to work with in planning the event. She was responsive and accommodating whenever I had changes. She was a great help in working out the best set up for tables to make the best use of the space. Since the venue did not have another event the day/night before ours, she even allowed us to come in and set up things the day before - that was such a huge help and made the day of the event so much less stressful. The staff was awesome during the event. I heard feedback from several guests about how attentive and helpful they all were. It's a small thing, but I loved that the security guy was dressed up in a black suit instead of a yellow windbreaker that says "SECURITY" like we have had in previous years when I've put on this event - it added a lot of class to the event. The bartender was friendly and fun. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The venue itself looked great - with that rustic feel. It was perfect for the fun/casual event we were having. My guests were so impressed with everything! Loved it so much that I'm planning to do next year's event there as well!

Downtown Santa Ana

We absolutely loved this venue from the moment we walked in and loved even more working with Romina. The venue itself has a phenomenal atmosphere, very modern, industrial and classic. The location, Downtown Santa Ana has so much personality and a great lively scene too. We compared a lot of different places and this was the most affordable without cutting back on quality or service. Their packages are very inclusive and transparent. They offer a full, friendly staff who were more than attentive. Romina was an absolute dream to work with, we had changes up until the day of the wedding and she was flexible and accommodating. She was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns making sure we were stress free and would love our wedding which we did. We were able to have live music, a boba bar, and a taco stand. She really made everything work so smoothly! 10/10 recommend having your wedding at the 1912!

a large room with tables and chairs

This is a really spectacular event venue. It's very high ceiling and oversized windows makes the place look terrific. Romina, the manager is very helpful. She is very knowledgeable about all the large and little things essential for a memorable event. We hosted my wife's milestone birthday there. She and her staff provided excellent service and support for the event. Our party was truly memorable. We would recommend this venue for your event. Romina is very helpful through the whole planning process.

Decent view of the stage. Great sound. I paid extra for premium parking. There is free parking within a couple of blocks. I think premium parking is worth it as I've heard there are predatory tow services that tow cars parked in lots of nearby CLOSED businesses. Douchey move. Enjoyed the show, food was decent "pub grub" but pretty limited menu. Nice selection of beers, cocktails and seltzers, really limited wine options.

I saw a bunch of bands play at that space many years ago, and it was a great time. I go to shows often and have never experienced something as horribly organized and planned as this. The first thing is that there was no approved parking in the nearby area. They had everyone park at Santa Ana College and take shuttles and buses to the venue. There are several businesses in the area, with large parking lots and it would have made way more sense to have people park there (even for a fee). We drove by one and there were actually security guards from the venue posted up, not allowing anyone in. I even asked a guy if there was paid parking options, because I really didn't like the idea of my car being so far away + feared the lines and getting back (post show). We couldn't find an alternative, so we did park at the college and waited in an enormous line to take a city bus. The bus was packed with concertgoers and was not comfortable, with many of us standing. The driver drove extremely erratically and I felt very car sick. He slammed on the breaks and even stopped in the middle of the road at one point. I was so happy to get off the bus and we realized the driver dropped us off at the front, which meant we had to walk nearly a mile to get into the back of the line. The line moved somewhat quickly, but it was wrapped around the nearby buildings 2xs. It was so awful, especially because that whole experience made us miss the first band, despite getting there over an hour early. I heard many other people talking about how terribly organized this was and how they came just for the first band and were pretty upset. Going through security was ok, but they made some people go through the serpentine line and others didn't, so if you were the one in the serpentine line and your friend didn't, guess what, they're waiting for you! It's just so strange, everything felt so horribly planned, despite the fact that this is what the venue does on a regular basis. I honestly don't feel a huge draw to go back to this venue for a long, long time.

The bartender was also good at putting on a show while mixing the drinks. In the venue, there was a free photo booth for digital photos which was nice. The music played wasn't my style (not the biggest Weeknd fan), so there was an outdoor area to get fresh air and relax at. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different. The venue was extremely overcrowded, people were constantly standing in front of our table, and we could barely see the screen even though we paid for reserved seating. Security did absolutely nothing to control the crowd. Several security guards were on their phones, vaping, and even blocking our view themselves. When we tried speaking to someone who appeared to be a manager or person in charge, he offered no solution. He then approached my boyfriend and randomly asked what he did for a living, which had absolutely nothing to do with the issue. After my boyfriend answered, the man said something along the lines of, "So you know you can't control everything." Instead of making unnecessary comments, he should have done his job and controlled the overcrowding and security issues inside the venue. We spent good money on a table and expected to actually be able to watch the game. The way the situation was handled was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. It's especially disappointing because our previous experiences were so good, but after this, we will seriously reconsider coming back.

When I said "Bar" and "Santa Ana" in the Yelp search - of course it said "Club 616" in the first…read morespot - OF COURSE IT SAID 616!!! I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future. Thank you to Christina and Brandon for always having amazing pictures, decor, and fun events at 616 that help introduce new folks into this great spot. Time is short. Learn about Root Beer Whiskey. With doors opening about an hour before the concert, the GA line tends to be longer than expected, and most of the venue is standing-room-only unless you opt for "premium" price for seats. Even so, the "standing only" crowd is usually respectful, and despite the tight space, the atmosphere stays fun. But, for short folks like myself, can be a major disadvantage as crowds beginning to move toward the front and blocking the view. From a concert going perspective, wear comfortable shoes is best as you're standing through the two+ hours. The ventilation is okay so you could get warm fairly quickly. Plus, there's four bar stations throughout the venue so there's no shortage of drinks for purchase (snacks are available, too). Overall, I like that the parking garage is attached to the HOB along with many other shops. HOB representatives also offered discounts parking -- so you pay $8 for unlimited parking (rather than $4/hour).
