We had such a great experience with the 2 painters. They were referred to us by the plumbing company that did some work for us. We had a few minor drywall repairs and a ceiling repair. Repair guy showed up as scheduled and immediately went to work. I was very impressed that he took his shoes off when he came into our home. I didn't require him to do that, but it just showed he respected and cared about our home. The repairs took a few hours. The gentleman cleaned up after himself and was in and out. We only had drywall repairs, and everything was perfect. The only downside of my experience was regarding payment. I wanted to pay with my credit card. I was told they could accept PayPal. When I requested an invoice to pay thru PayPal, they said they would call me and just take a credit card over the phone. I was not comfortable giving my credit card over the phone, so I just mailed them a check instead. Not a big deal. I will definitely be keeping their phone number handy for future projects. read more

She seemed very knowledgeable. After getting one other quote, we decided to go with the 2 Painters because prices were fair and competitive. We got the best price for what we wanted. Monica met with us a week before the start of our project to decide on colors and sign the contract. She was very knowledgeable on colors and fade ya great recommendations based on our vision. They used Dunn Edwards high quality paint. The painters came, covered our flooring, removed light fixtures, patched small holes in walls, and removed light switch and outlet covers. I can't speak to their work because Monica never provided a quote. I had four companies come out to give us a quote on miscellaneous work we needed done before putting our house up for sale. Honestly, one of the ones I was most impressed by with was this company based on the way Monica represented them. However, everyone provided a quote within 24 hours except for Monica, I was very surprised. I received a very reasonable quote from a 5* rated painter that I really liked so I went with him. I'm not sure what happened but I base my judgment on customer service and maybe they were just too busy to bother with my job but at least tell me so. Two painters were kind enough to respond by text before wasting mine and their time to tell me they were too busy to meet my timeline. Disappointed but these things happen sometimes. read more

We asked for quotes from a number of different contractors to patch a hole in our ceiling after a serious plumbing incident. The 2 Painters provided the best quote and provided clear details about what they would and would not do. They sent a worker a couple of days later who patched the hole and tried to match the ceiling texture by hand. The texture didn't match very well and Monica immediately called and said that they would return to do a better job. Another worker came out and did the texture with a machine that almost perfectly matches what is on the rest of the ceiling. So, overall, I am very happy with the price and the quality of the work. We are BEYOND thankful that we had Libo and his team work on our aging mid-century in Borrego. The house was years overdue for treatment--splintered wood, peeling paint--just a formula for bad things to happen. The best way to describe their approach is "investment"--they are absolutely invested to make your house look amazing--like it was their home, or that of their family. That meant a lot to us. Painting seems to be a messy job but our guys didn't leave a bit of trash, a drop or drizzle of paint, or any indication that they had been here--aside from the gorgeous paint on the house. From the preparation, to the priming, to the painting...just amazing skills. And, my husband and I work from home so their ninja-presence was very appreciated. Our team was quite possibly made up of the coolest guys and we will ask for them when we eventually have the concrete stained around the pool. They provided me also with alternative color combinations based on the size of my house and it's current color (granite) They guys showed up in painting day. We have used the 2 Painters on 2 separate occasions. Both times the work was perfect. I'm picky, to the point I would prefer to do it myself because no one is usually as careful as I am. Both time painting was either a very large ceiling or walls going up to a vaulted ceiling. They were incredibly clean and careful with all of the equipment. I have hardwood floor with a very smooth finish and they didn't leave a single mark on them. Everything looked great when they were done. Their prep is amazing; on our metal outdoor spiral staircase they sanded, vacuumed & wiped down w/solvent every spindle & surface. Also their masking & protection is great. They went out of their way to do other things that I didn't originally ask for in quote but saw that I needed when they were here. It was a relief to be able to have them do touch ups throughout the home after completing their initial project. They also were able to patch over drywall and paint. Thanks again to our fantastic painters! One thing I did forget was the yelp deal, which is $100 for $150, saving $50. I found them on yelp and forgot to use the deal or even ask for it. We contacted The 2 Painters to have our kitchen cabinets refinished in white. My wife had attempted to prime and paint a few pieces but the finish was not smooth. So we contacted The 2 Painters to have the whole kitchen professionally done. Monica came out to the house to see the job and then sent us a contract. Very straightforward. We scheduled to have our kitchen cabinet's refinished the week we were out of town, so we would not interfere with the workers and not be without use of our kitchen. When we arrived back to view the completed job, we were very surprised with the quality of work done: 1. Debris in the paint on many of the cabinet faces 2. Large runs of paint in many pieces 3. Cabinet edges and the majority of molding inadequately sanded 4. Large brush-stroke grooves in many trim pieces 5. Grossly uneven texture on painted shelving 6. Large patches of paint bleed where masked on shelves 7. Dishwasher cabinet face paint uneven, bubbled and rough 8. Many cabinet face recesses with paint clumped and uneven 9. Pieces of paint already coming off on several edges of of cabinet faces Monica came over the next day to do a walk through since it was complete. We pointed out some of these things mentioned. I pointed to the cabinet on the face of the dishwasher, to which she conceded "yah, that looks really bad." Next, the owner came over. I attempted to point out these clear issues we had with the outcome. He would not listen to what I was saying. He told me that he did not want to listen to me point out my concerns, instead he would decide what needed to be fixed. He said they would come back and would need 2 full days to redo the problems. After the 2 days the job was not completed. He said they would need another day to complete the work. After the worker finished we went through again to see how it looked. Several edges were not completely painted. Pieces of the molding had significant runs in the paint. Portions of 2 cabinet ends were still rough and unrepaired. After we pointed these out to the owner, the worker then fixed these areas adequately. As one could imagine, I was not happy with this whole experience. I decided to give them one last chance though, before I shared this review. I told Monica and Libo (the owner) I had one question for them: "Do you still think that we should pay the full original fee?" They both replied "yes, the full fee." I said OK and paid in full. read more

Holy cow! Seriously I hired two companies off Yelp to do work. A painter (The 2 Painters) and Carpet care company. I got so lucky finding Monica and her team. I have them multiple tasks to do, some small some large and some things that I thought were beyond repair. They already put 2 days worth of work in and have 1 day left. I went there today the day before they paint the last ceiling after patch and repair and the home looked brand new! All the holes and terrible spakle job from the tenant was gone. Have you ever put spackle on a hole then spread it ? It fills in the texture of you paint it you have noticeable flat spots on the wall! There were about 20 of them, today there is 0 and 0 flat spots. I am not even going to ask how they did it! Just going to tell you it's done and looks amazing. I have worked with 7 different painters being in a Real Estate and this experience was by far the absolute best I have ever had. They patched a ceiling, textured, painted a laundry room, a pantry and color matched all the holes. I was left speechless and the owner of the home couldn't even believe how well everything flowed! In July 2015 we had our two-story 1909 wood shingle house painted by Libo Arellano's company. They also refinished our redwood decks. The company was recommended to me by a friend who is a very experienced and skilled builder. We could not be happier with quality of the work and the experience of having the The Two Painters crew on the job. Libo Arellano is personable and knowledgeable. He's quick to size up the job, make valuable recommendations, and provide a quote. The price he quoted was extremely reasonable considering the challenges the job presented: three-story heights in places, one wall on property line, painting underside of large deck. I assumed that the paint would just be sprayed on, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the quote included rolling and brushing paint into the textured shingles which Libo said was necessary. This company's crew of painters is an amazing team: diligent, responsible, on-time, courteous, professional, friendly, considerate, hard-working, highly skilled, resourceful, harmonious, upbeat. They are excellent at communicating with the customer, asking pertinent questions instead of making assumptions; they make every effort to insure that the customer is happy every step of the way. Frankly, their standards were higher than my own, they checked and rechecked their work down to small details that were beyond my notice. This is an extremely versatile company. Their resumé includes super high-end residential projects, exotic finishes, demanding museum work, and municipal murals. For the everyday homeowner, in addition to expert painting, they can also provide handy-man assistance and some remodeling. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Called to get a quote and was told that it would be a 2-3day project, **which was perfect since I was on such a tight schedule. With other offers quoting me less but a longer time frame I figured I would give them a try. The crew was great (which I hold nothing against since Arnold and Walter plus the rest of the guys were great workers.) but painting an empty house with no furniture should have been a quick and easy project, At the end of the 3rd day (Friday) and slowly moving in furniture I was told they were going to need more time to finish up the project but wouldn't be able to work on until MONDAY!!!! How did a 2-3 day project turn into a 6 day project? When confronted to "managment" about the situation Monica had the Owner call me personally.. after I explained to him how I choose them solely because of the time frame given he wasn't willing to offer ANY compensation?! Uhhhh first of ALL per CONTRACT you were suppose to have been done by the 3rd day! To top it off he yelled at meeeee and stated that I had already chosen to work with them and was given such a great deal to begin with so there was nothing he could do. I was soooo appalled I didn't even know what to think, the fact THEY quoted me for a time frame they couldn't complete isn't my fault! Monica offered to give me $100 off, but just the fact that it was so much longer than was told was disappointing and to top it off they painted the one of the bathrooms a wrong color and when they came to pick up the final payment she didn't even bother to do a thorough walk through and to make sure everything was good! Arnold had to come BACK Tuesday night to finish up! Def would pay the workers myself to work on my house. The company on the other hand is a joke! Try looking elsewhere or if you don't have a time frame you have to meet since you never know when they will actually finish! read more

The 2 Painters is a company we trust and have used for 20 years. Just had a hodgepodge of painting done following Anderson window installation. The scope was exterior trim on 5 windows, the living/dining room paint, patch( drywall cracks) Living-room windows paint/.patch, the Kitchen completely, attic access point reinforced/patched/painted and 5-6 drywall dents/dings in the hallways. The contractor bid/was accepted, work began as promised and was completed as conveyed. They came back two times because we found some problems. no problem. They addressed our concerns perfectly/timely as were very picky people. Especially did well blending in areas which weren't completely redone. This is the most difficult and high skill needed. I'd say medium price level, highly professional and the owner is very critical of his crews work. Their professionalism, cleanliness, expertness are what we want. We keep a file on this company as their so good and never want to lose them. I'm older and have many contractor experiences. Honestly I'm so happy with this contractor I simply cant say enough GOOD.
