Decided to move out of my home and into one of the 211's units last year and couldn't be happier ! Over all the property is clean and well kept ! The girls that help manage and run the office are always friendly and will help in anyway they can , even if it just means being greeted every morning with a smile and hello ! Very pet friendly and located just minutes away from everything you could want on Fremont St. ! The neighbors are great and live like a community where we all look out for one another ! Would definitely recommend the 211 for anyone looking to live close to all the vegas action yet still in a safe place ! read more

Seems very exciting at first,cheap rent, nice little place, but what isn't told is the almost weekly water shut offs and the homeless people always walking around. On one occasion there was a homeless man sleeping in the game room in the "gated area."Least safe I felt in my entire life. Management is shitty, when I asked if I had anything left over to pay they said no so I figured I was good right? Nope called them about two months later to get my deposit and they tell me I owe 400$ or it goes to collection . Also there was always something happening animals peeing in the elevator and no one cleaning it. Basically if you want to live somewhere that doesn't give a shit about you and quite frankly the facility go ahead and live here ,just please be safe read more

I've lived here for 16 months or so and in the past few months it's went to hell in a hand basket. There are many unstable people living here. Last week alone the cops were call three days in a row for incidents revolving around people who live here. In the past week we've had 3 fire alarms that stem from overly sensitive smoke detectors in our community kitchen. As someone who's house burned to the ground 3 yrs ago, I take that seriously and continued setting off of the alarm makes residents hesitant to evacuate the building. My dog is developing PTSD from the alarms that go off when I'm not home. The hot tub, that was told to me was going to be done December of 2015, is still not done. The owners of the building, The Downtown Project, have the building up for sale so my assumption is they just don't give a flip. Our "secured building" has seen homeless people sleeping in our lobby and media room. The cameras only work in the lobby. People steal food from the community kitchen that is clearly marked w people's names and room numbers. Laundry has been stolen... on and on my list goes. I was charged $50 a month for secured parking that wasn't secured for over 7 months that I paid for it. It's secured now but they restriped the spaces to good cart size spaces. Some residents just don't give a flip about taking care of the community common areas. I can go on and on. I was the most involved resident when I moved here, I started a Facebook page for the residents that was all about information and gatherings and now it's just a shit show of everyone (including me) complaining about each other and the property. The management company staff is very nice but seems like things just don't get done or we are not informed when they do. When I first moved in water was shut off at least 3-4 days a week while renovating. Now it's about once every 7-10 days. Some areas in the building only have Luke warm water (mines good). I signed a new one year lease and I'm planning on moving out early. If you come to tour talk to some residents, you will likely hear the same stories. It was a great concept of community living when it was at low occupancy but now it's just a bunch of bs all the time. I was the biggest fan of The 211 when I got here now I'm pretty bitter about it now. I've tried talking and giving suggestions as well as informing the office when there are issues to no avail. Don't move here unless you're super into fire alarms at 1am once a week and people being hella sketchy. It's tight.

Here at the 211 has been a horrible experience. Projects are not being finished, management is a joke, a lot of stuff being destroyed constantly, dog feces all over the place including the hallways and stairwells. If you move here you are going to be extremely disappointed. The hot tub that looks to be almost finished which lures people in to live and has been under construction 2 years. Everything is a joke. We usually have cops here every day. Some residents should never be here in this environment. Some days you have to keep on guard walking the halls because someone went to jail on your floor and got released. On the bright side their are some pretty cool people here, from all walks of life. So if you want to move here just know what you are getting into. read more

I wanted to wait a few months to give an honest review of the 211. I am currently writing this at 12:17 am as the fire alarm blares off in my ears , again , for the second night in a row . This happens at least once every two weeks. It's normally at late hours and takes about 20-30 minutes for them to turn them off . And when I say blaring , I mean the highest pitch of screeching that is impossible to tune out. They have said they fixed the sensitive smoke alarms and had fire specialists here to test them , but I don't think anything has changed .... other than that here are my thoughts ... I have lived here since October 2016. I'm a Vegas local that enjoys the downtown life so moving here while my job was also walking distance seemed logical . Rey at the front desk is such a sweetie. If your moving here, try to set up a tour with her. It has a very hipster vibe at first , fire pit , hammock garden, they just finished the spa but I haven't seen anyone use it . Realistically , it has a very dorm feel. A lot of people are transient, from 18 to 80. There are some assholes that live here that leave the common areas a mess, the gyms toilet... I don't have words.. I have enjoyed living here for the most part, I've hung around the fire pit group a few times , everyone is nice . Everyone is very 420 friendly there If that's what your into . Parking is a bitch, unless you want to pay 40-50 bucks a month , and it's normally waitlisted . If you get a spot in the front make sure you move it by 10 am or get a ticket . No complaints about the internet or cable , except they say free cable but realistically you have to pay Cox like 3 bucks a month and an activation fee for the mini box . They had hot water issues in the beginning but I think they have gotten it under control , before they would give a days notice and the water would be shut off for like 6 hours a day to fix the issues . For what I pay , and for my situation , it works for me for now . I don't think I'll renew my lease but I do love the ease of walking to downtown whenever I want . The only other complaint I have is that I had locked up my beach cruiser in the 'gated' parking area, supposedly so secure that I couldn't even get a code to open the gate for my bike , you had to pay for the parking spot for that , but I walked it though the front and locked it to the bike rack , and a week later my bike was longer there. Someone stole it right out of the parking area . I have to file a police report for them to look at the cameras , if they even point in that direction . read more

Moved into this place 2016. Management is completely incompetent and will "cater" to only certain tenants that they deem "acceptable". Management will share your info with other tenants and staff.Management has tried to overcharge me when signing a new lease. A maintenance worker named George actually attempted to start a physical fight with me and absolutely nothing was done about it. The tenants in the building range from criminal to insane(in most cases) and will get into your business uninvited. Received death threats walking in and out of building. Harassed for my phone, change, poop bags(and I don't have a pet). Harassed and confronted by other tenants online and off after joining FB group.Attacked by dog on several occasions while the owner just laughed, told management when it happened and they did nothing til it attacked someone "they" listen to. Singled out as smoking weed in my room, when the entire building smells of weed yet is never mentioned about "other" tenants on other floors.Shady maintenance! Never fix anything important, just patch it up til it doesn't work AGAIN! "Water has been turned off to fix boiler room" was a yearly event.Fire alarms go off weekly.Been threatened by other tenants, a male and female on my floor.They threw the male out but not the female because they knew her and she made the threat.Confronted by other tenants in the building on a number of occasions because they know management won't do anything, so make it good.There are some decent people there and people who want to have fun but is overshadowed by a criminal element and a lack of awareness from management and other tenants. Amenities are what attracts you but isn't worth it.Bed bugs and roaches throughout building.Laundry always broken. Some tenants are short term and treat the place like a toilet, garbage dump. Staff doesn't clean up or know how, until it's a problem.Some tenants in the building actually think it's "their" building and will attempt to enforce that belief.Racial tension and verbal assaults that are ignored or conveniently overlooked.Racial division between tenants and staff, unfortunately. I absolutely adore living at the 211! I moved downtown Las Vegas to be closer to the art scene and I had may eye on this place for years, there was finally an opening and glad I got in! Ive been here about 7 months now and seriously could not have found a better place to live! All utilities included and the staff is amazing! If it wasn't for Reynessa and Denise I seriously wouldn't know what I would do lol. They make this place so fun! They're very sweet and they're always so helpful if you need anything. LOVE LOVE LOVE!! This place is great. Lots of energy and it's the closest thing to SF or NY living that you can find in Vegas. I'm one block away from container park and two blocks away from Fremont Street East. Super pet friendly with a dog park in the courtyard and hot tub coming soon. Never had a problem and management is always accessible. The staff is actually very cool. Nick, at the front desk, lives in the building so I feel safer knowing someone is on site just in case something happens. It's easy to feel isolated in a micro apartment but this building is different. Come check it and see for yourself!! A+++ read more

I've lived at the 211 for 6 mos. This place is an the perfect spot to land if you are thinking of moving to Las Vegas. The apartments are small but trust me, you won't be there that much. You are going to want to work and play and take advantage of all that the Vegas life has to offer. the small space is incidental; you'll get used to being a bit more tidy too. The culture at the 211 is friendly, community oriented, and giving. There's a Facebook page if you need/have something to share, or you just want to hang out. The community kitchen works out really well and it's leave no trace and generally everyone is respectful of this concept ( there's always that one or two wherever you go) Props to the staff and Nick Peck on making sure life as a tenant is seamless and comfortable. The staff is really interested in your general well being. They are kind, polite, and always looking to problem solve and fix an issue ASAP. Another awesome feature is that the 211 is dog friendly! bring that dog... I adore going to the courtyard to hang out and seeing the dogs play. The most important point of all here is... Listen up! I want to say that some people will think it's a bizarre move to live in DTLV. they will make a face and ask you "why". I guarantee that if you are coming out to launch a career and give life a try here, with not much stuff and not a lot of connections, this is a solid launch pad in the many steps you'll take in your path to success.... Come live at the 211!so glad I took a chance, I do not have one bad thing to say about it!
