I recently went in for a quick haircut here. I had never been here before but when I was looking up places near my house, this one was only 10 minutes away. I figured it had been a while since I got a haircut so why not try somewhere new? The shop itself was decorated really well. I made an appointment with Kayla and she gave me a great cut. I needed to ditch the longer hair I had been growing out and get cleaned up for a wedding. Not only did I get a good haircut but she also lined my beard out for me too. This spot was really great. I've been going here to get my hair cut for a while and the overall vibe is something I'd give a 5 out of 5 just because it's not too big of a building to where it feels like I have to walk a mile to get my haircut and not too small as to where it feels like everyone's on top of each other. I went to the 3 Dog Barber last month for the first time. I had seen the Book Online for an Appointment but was going to be near the establishment that was near my dentist so I thought I could possibly walk-in. At the time, a barber was working on someone and another patron was waiting and there was no one at the front desk. After about 10 minutes of waiting, a concierge came by to tell me that I could make an appointment but not for today. I left making one for next week with Patrick who gave me an Imperial Shave and haircut which after I tipped out felt was worth $80. Multiple hot towels, cold towels, buzz shave, razor shave, orange smelling balm, and facial plus a nice cut. Highly recommended but make sure to call or book online for service and this is a premium shop so expect to pay higher prices plus gratuity to the service workers. read more

I have gotten 2 haircuts here. The first one was alright and the girl that did it did a decent job. The second one was 2 days ago and is absolutely horrific. The "master barber" whatever joke title that is, did a job that I could've had my friends toddler do. I asked to trim the top of my sides down more since they poof out as they grow. I asked for a little longer than finger tip length. Spencer did not listen to a word of that. The sides are the exact same way and in fact he barely trimmed them. They were matted down with water and as soon as I got home I could tell they were messed up when I went to do my hair. Then the top. He didn't even touch it and tried to conclude the haircut. Like no I asked you to trim it shorter. He trimmed it, extremely uneven. The haircut is a mess. 2 weeks before Christmas at that. I get to go get pictures looking like a fool because a "master barber" isn't a master at anything haircut related. I have lost all faith in going to this place. To top it all off I have the sides shaved into a fade and I found a patch of long hair right above the ear untouched and just tucked away under the ear on both sides so it wasn't even completely done. As a person who has struggled to find a good haircut place this one is by far the worst. To title someone a master when they give haircuts worse than great clips is a joke. I will never be back and I strongly recommend avoiding at all costs. read more

My boyfriend just returned from his appointment looking a little too handsome... His head was shaved beautifully and beard perfectly groomed. Even his eyebrows were trimmed! The worst part is that he smells so good he'll need some keep-a-hoe-away spray just to be out in public...He'll be back in I'm sure for regular upkeep. I had a coworker tell me about how her husband really enjoyed going to The 3 Dog Barber so I opted to give it a try. My girlfriend and I stopped in to see if I could get a cut one day but Kevin had an appointment coming in so I booked something for later in the week. In the minutes he did have, he showed me around his shop and told me a lot about the services and products they offer. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to go back. When I went for my first appointment Kevin asked several questions about what I liked and how I wanted my beard trimmed. He even made some suggestions on a haircut style so I opted to roll with it....after all it's only hair and will grow back if I didn't like it. Well, I really liked the style, the hot towel shave and the atmosphere. It was a very worthwhile experience and I received a lot of compliments on my new look. I have been back several other times and it just keeps getting better every time. What I really like about 3 Dog is that every customer has an account in which they log your services and products you use. This way when you come in, they already know how you like your hair cut, and the number(s) you prefer when getting your hair and/or beard trimmed. It's also a nice feature for when your kids or significant other want to get you something from there. Kevin or Spencer can set up a gift card to meet your services. This has been the best barber that I've found in the area. It's very classy and clean with a vintage atmosphere. The basic haircut includes cool touches like a hot towel with a straight razor shave for the back of the neck and a few sprays of cologne. I had given a gift certificate to a family member who hasn't gone to a real barber for 20 years. He was immediately convinced and has been going there since. Thought I would try a new Barber today so I stopped by The 3 Dog Barber in Lancaster. When you walk in there is no sign that displays prices, or if walk-ins are welcome at all. There was a barber in what looked like a closet towards that back that saw me walk in but chose not to acknowledge me at all. After approx. 10 minutes of sitting there awkwardly, I decided to stand up and walk around a little to see if I could get any response. After the barber again decided to I ignore me, I knew I should just leave. Barber shops used to be about atmosphere, a place you could go and feel welcome.
